Adding to the magic, journalist Tamron Hall shared her heartfelt perspective: “The reality is we don’t get a chance to share these moments all the time… I never imagined I’d be a mom at 48… It’s magical.”

Actress, Jenifer Lewis, voice of Mama Odie, captured the spirit of this ride perfectly:“So, we’re on the ride, and Dig a Little Deeper is on. So, there’s a group of people behind me, and so I’m just singing, ‘…don’t matter what you look like…’ And the whole, everybody just went, ‘…dig a little deeper…’ It was so fun.”

We’re there, the first African-American princess, and that’s what the kids need to see. They need to see what the world looks like, not just one culture, not just one people. You see, the New Orleans music, the New Orleans food, you know, carnival. I’m so excited. I feel like a kid,” says Jenifer Lewis.

And if you’re looking for some real-life excitement, New Orleans Saints star Cam Jordan couldn’t be more pumped about experiencing it with his family: “Yeah, it’s been a blessing come on their energy has been on ten until about ten and then they crash out. It’s been amazing I think with the rides that we just had today – Tiana’s Bayou Adventure they were trying to go multiple, multiple times. They were already on big blessings to hit the one you know before it even opens.”
