It’s been nearly a week since the Dreamville Festival kicked off but Drake’s still looking back fondly at the memories. The Scorpion star shared the stage with J. Cole for a co-headlining slot on Sunday night, bringing out a slew of guests on stage. GloRilla, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, and Lil Wayne graced the stage before Cole joined the Canadian rapper on stage for a final bow. Drake and J. Cole came through with a legendary performance that will undoubtedly be remembered for years to come.
Throughout the week, Drake shared some of his favorite memories from the festival on Instagram. Shortly after the festival, he dropped a gang of pictures from his set with his special guests and J. Cole. Today, he gave fans a bit of insight into the behind-the-scenes of the fest. His latest photo dump includes shots of him and J. Cole after they hit the stage, the OVO clique at Dave & Buster’s, and more. According to the Raleigh News Observer, Drake actually rented out the arcade in Raleigh to celebrate the evening.
Drake’s Dreamville Performance Sets The Tone For Summer ‘23
Following a spree of releases through the pandemic, including Certified Lover Boy, Honestly, Nevermind and Her Loss with 21 Savage, the rapper is finally getting ready to hit the road for the first time in years. In the past few months, he’s returned to the stage for a pair of shows at the Apollo Theater, performed at festivals in Latin America, and is currently ramping up for his upcoming tour with 21 Savage – his first North American run since his co-headlining venture with Migos in 2018.
The upcoming It’s All A Blur tour will kick off at New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center on June 16th before closing out in Glendale, AZ on September 5th. The upcoming tour will also hit up major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and more for multiple shows. Given that he’s dropped three albums (four if you include Dark Lane Demo Tapes) since his last tour, we could imagine that his setlist will include plenty of new material.
