Chris Rock’s Upcoming Comedy Tour Sees Spike In Ticket Sales Following Incident With Will Smith

LAPD Says Chris Rock Won't Press Charges on Will Smith

Following the slap that was heard around the room, many have been wanting to know what or if Chris Rock has to say about the incident that happened at this year’s Oscars. Apparently so much so that ticket sales for Rock’s upcoming comedy tour has spiked following him being slapped by Will Smith.

According to Variety, secondary ticketing website TickPick reported that they had sold more tickets to Rock’s comedy tour in one night following the incident at the Oscars than in the past month. They also noted that ticket prices had surged, going from a minimum of $46 a ticket on March 18 to $341.

“We sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than we did in the past month combined” the ticket website tweeted.

Rock is set to embark on his 30 date Ego Death World Tour for the North American leg of his tour on April 2. This will mark Rock’s first tour in over 5 years. Rock and Kevin Hart recently announced their joint Only Headliners Allowed string of shows that will take place between New York and New Jersey.
