Chlöe Bailey’s revving up to have the summer on lock with her solo debut album In Pieces right around the corner. The singer’s shared a handful of singles over the past few years as she built anticipation for her first outing without her sister. Singles like “Have Mercy” became massive bangers that found her poppin’ her ish, while her latest release, “How Does It Feel” ft. Chris Brown became a definitive display of her place as a leading R&B artist in 2023.
So far, she hasn’t released a tracklist for her project but she confirmed that she’ll have a few exciting collabs on the project. During an interview with Complex at the top of the year, she explained that each record on In Pieces stems from a personal experience, whether a joint like “Have Mercy” which finds her hitting back at haters or “Treat Me” which describes what she looks for in a man. “Every single song on that project stems from my own experiences,” she said. “Every song I have is personal. It has been so much fun collaborating with such incredible song makers.”
Chlöe Bailey Shares “In Pieces” Cover Art
This morning, Chlöe Bailey unveiled the official cover for In Pieces. The cover art showcases her looking quite doll-like while holding a glowing heart in her hand. Her chest also exudes a bright red neon color where her heat is supposed to be. Fans were impressed by the creativity that went into the look, as well as its simplicity. Even though it’s her debut album, Chlöe Bailey didn’t go over the top to catch anyone’s attention.
Chlöe explained the inspiration for the In Pieces cover art came from a photo of a porcelain doll holding her heart three years ago. At that point, she committed to recreating a similar look for her own cover art. “This cover represents so much for me, down to the color of my hair… when I had the red hair 1.5 years ago, it was one of the darkest times in my life… that’s why I never wore it again,” she explained in a note. “IN PIECES is for the ones like me, who wear their outer shell so well that you’d have no idea what they’re going through.” Check out the cover art above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.
