Hailey Van Lith Commits To LSU

Hailey Van Lith created her own star in the 2023 Women’s Basketball Tournament. The former Louisville star carried her heart on her sleeve and wasn’t afraid to show her emotions. Lousiville’s tournament run ended in the Elite 8 after a classic game with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Since then, Van Lith believed her time with the Cardinals was over. Any team that would gain Van Lith would instantly become a top team. But what happens when the top team gets the top transfer?

On Thursday, Van Lith announced her intentions to join the LSU basketball program. A huge addition to a team that was already thinking repeat. However, the addition of Van Lith may now have the team not only thinking championship. But thinking about the opportunity for perfection. The Tigers roster is already filled with massive talent. Including Angel Reese, Flau’jae Johnson, and Alexis Morris. Now, it only looks like the rich will only be getting richer.

Hailey Van Lith Makes LSU Even Better

LSU is becoming the place to be for all women athletes. Van Lith’s commitment to the Tigers gives the program three of the top ten NIL stars for women’s sports. The Tigers also have an athlete in the first spot, Livvy Dunne. While the talk of NIL and super teams is nice, fans can’t forget head coach Kim Mulkey. Many were stunned when Mulkey walked away from the head position at Baylor. Mulkey had created a dominant force with the Bears. However, it took the legendary college coach no time to put LSU on the map.

Fans of SEC basketball have seen many dominant programs. Including Pat Summit’s epic run with Tennessee. As well as what Dawn Staley is currently doing with South Carolina. However, it looks like there could be a new dynasty down in Baton Rouge. Do you believe the addition of Hailey Van Lith has secured the Tigers another national championship? Can LSU run the table and go undefeated next season? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. For the latest news in sports, keep it right here with HNHH.

Angel Reese Reveals What She Told Shaq In Recent Conversation

Angel Reese has become one of the biggest stars in the history of women’s college basketball. Reese was a major factor in the LSU Tigers winning the 2023 National Championship. Since that game, Reese has gone on to become an icon for the sport. However, it started out with a heated debate over her in-game celebrations. Fans chose sides when Reese began celebrating the impending championship over Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Thankfully that debate has been put to rest, and Reese is being celebrated for her play on the court.

Reese’s play on the court has caught the eyes of many in the basketball world. Including NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. Shortly after LSU’s national title run, Shaq was asked about his thoughts on the college basketball star. Shaq didn’t hold back on his high praise for Reese. The LSU legend claimed that Reese is the greatest athlete to ever attend LSU. Those comments are high praise considering how many great athletes have once called LSU home. However, Reese recently told Shaq to maybe slam the brakes on those claims.

Angel Reese Doesn’t Want G.O.A.T. Claim Just Yet

Reese recently spoke about Shaq’s comments during an interview with the Breakfast Club. During the interview, Reese told the crew what she said to Shaq about his comments. “Do you know how much pressure you just put on me?” Reese stated that Shaq didn’t seem to care about the pressure Reese must be feeling. However, Reese isn’t done with her legacy in Baton Rouge. The Tigers star will be returning next season to write another chapter in an already memorable legacy.

However, some past LSU athletes didn’t agree with Shaq’s comments on Reese. Olympic athlete Lolo Jones eviscerated Shaq’s comments on Reese being the greatest LSU athlete. But Jones didn’t disrespect her fellow Tiger. Jones claims she is a big fan of Reese, However, giving her the title of greatest athlete to ever attend LSU is disrespectful to those that have come before her. Do you agree with Shaq that Angel Reese is the greatest athlete to ever attend LSU? Please give us your opinions in the comment section. For the latest news in sports, keep it right here at HNHH.

Angel Reese Drops Cryptic Tweet Amid Van Lith Visit

The transfer portal has become a vital part of college basketball in recent years. A pandemic-era change to the system means that every player now gets one “immediate transfer”. This put an end to the rule that transferring players must sit out the subsequent season after joining their new school. This rule came under heavy scrunity after the debacle surrounding James Wiseman, who essentially played no games in college due to transfer ineligibility.

This increased freedom of movement has been monumental in college basketball. When NIL deals are factored in, the players have more power than ever. We saw the impact that the portal can have last year as Kim Mulkey essentially built LSU’s National Championship out of it. Furthermore, 15 Sweet 16 teams started at least one transfer in this year’s NCAA Tournament. And with a wealth of high-value talent in the portal this year, is Mulkey about to do it again?

Reese Tweets As Van Lith Visits LSU

Hailey Van Lith’s entry into the transfer portal was a shocking twist in the college basketball offseason. Van Lith is a three-year starter for the Louisville Cardinals and already hit triple digits in games started. Despite standing 5″7, she is a deadly shooter who has improved her points per game year-on-year and is a career 42.2% field scorer. She led Louisville to at least the Elite Eight in all three seasons. ESPN ranked Van Lith #1 on their list of top players in the women’s transfer portal. On Tuesday, various outlets reported that Van Lith was in Baton Rogue for an official visit with LSU. The #7 prospect in the 2020 class, Van Lith chose Louisville over Kim Mulkey-led Baylor.

Reese’s only comment on the situation was a single-emoji tweet that day, showing the emoji face covering its face with its hands. It’s easy to interpret this as representing Reese’s “you can’t see me” taunt that she directed at Caitlin Clark during the 2023 National Championship Game. Fans have taken this to mean that Van Lith is LSU-bound and that Reese is predicting another championship game appearance. Both players will be eligible for the WNBA draft in 2024 and both are currently predicted to be top-5 picks.

Ice Spice Flexes Her Impressive Jump Shot: Watch

Ice Spice is currently one of the biggest names in the hip-hop world, whether you like it or not. Overall, she is someone who has already dazzled fans with a bunch of great releases. However, there is no doubt the artist has her fair share of haters. Immediately upon seeing a bit of fame, there were people out there dedicated to taking Ice Spice down. Despite this, she has handled it all with grace. Ultimately, she knows that the only people who matter are those who actually listen to her music and run the numbers up.

Additionally, she has gotten co-signs from some of the biggest artists in the entire world. For instance, she recently did a song with Nicki Minaj. This was the remix to her track “Princess Diana,” which has become a viral sensation. Although she got someone like Nicki on the song, there is no doubt that Ice Spice remains the main draw. Now, however, she is showing the world that she is actually multitalented. In the video clip below, reshared by World Star, the rapper can be seen making an impressive basketball shot.

Ice Spice Plays Ball

While she does miss the first attempt, there is no doubt that she does a much better job the second time around. Overall, one could make the argument that she needs to work on her form. Although, that will come with some time and some training. Of course, Ice Spice is an athletic person. In college, she played volleyball, which is not an easy sport. Clearly, with a bit of help, she could be quite the basketball player. Perhaps if the whole music thing falls through, she can go to the WNBA, which continues to grow at a rapid pace.

Either way, Ice Spice is living the life right now. She is getting massive co-signs from some of the largest artists out, and it must be a good feeling. Moreover, the fans have come around to her, and that will only propel her further. With festival season upon us, we can’t wait to see what else she does. NCAA Women’s Basketball Season To Begin In Paris

NCAA Women’s Basketball has undergone a meteoric rise in recent years. It has emerged as a premier product of the NCAA, especially in the age of NIL. Players like Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are now national celebrities. Viewing figures on ESPN for the Final Four and National Championship Game surpassed those of every NBA game on the network this season. Women’s basketball is what’s hot right now.

So how do you capitalize on it? With the world watching, what steps do you take to avoid a dip or plateau in interest? Players are staying in college longer thanks to the money, visibility, and networking they can achieve via NIL. That is something the NCAA, an organization that has often been slow to capitalize on trends in the past, cannot afford to pass them by. However, an announcement Wednesday indicates that the NCAA is taking proactive steps.

South Carolina To Face Notre Dame in France

In announcements made by the two schools, it was revealed that the 2023-24 women’s basketball season would open on November 6 with a showdown between South Carolina and Notre Dame. However, this matchup between two powerhouse programs will not take place in Columbia or South Bend. Instead, the two teams will face in Paris, France. It will be the first-ever NCAA basketball to be played in Paris. Previously, the NCAA has found modest success in staging its college football opener in Dublin, Ireland.

While it’s not an LSU-Iowa rematch, it does feature two exciting women’s basketball programs. 2021 National Champions South Carolina are in something of a transitionary period after the graduation of their vaunted 2019 recruiting class. 5 of those players were drafted into the WNBA earlier this week. Meanwhile, Notre Dame is discovering its new identity under fourth-year head coach Niele Ivey. A three-seed in last month’s March Madness, they fell in the Sweet Sixteen to two-seed Maryland. Both sides are likely to be preseason top-10 squads and strong seasons could see both emerge as title contenders. South Carolina has never beaten Notre Dame, currently sitting at an 0-3 record against the Irish. However, the event should be taken as a sign of things to come for collegiate women’s basketball.

Angel Reese NIL Evaluation

Angel Reese is arguably the most popular NCAA Women’s Basketball star of all time. Since helping lead the LSU Tigers to the National Championship, Reese has been a popular topic. Including recently when Shaq stated she is the best athlete in the history of LSU athletics. Now it seems her advertising potential is starting to see movement. NIL has been a huge change in the way college athletics are handled. College athletes getting the chance to make their own income have seen so many positive stories already.

Now it seems that Reese could be ready to cash in on her own NIL opportunities. According to the popular college recruiting site ON3 Sports, Reese could make history. The site has its own NIL valuation system, and it shows that Reese has become a megastar. Reese’s NIL valuation currently sits at $1.3 million. According to the site, “She has gained over 2 million followers across her social media platforms since the beginning of March Madness.” This makes her the highest projected earner in all of Women’s College Basketball.

The Legend Of Angel Reese Continues To Grow

Knowing this information makes a ton of sense as to why Reese decided to stay at LSU. This kind of money is way larger than what is made by players in the WNBA. Sadly women athletes’ financial comparison to the men, has long been an issue in professional sports. However, Reese is one of the many women’s stars that has begun to change the game. The $1.3 million potential earners are larger than many in the men’s NCAA. Reese is just further proof that fans are interested in women’s athletics.

Angel Reese has reached superstar status. Even when the media wanted to discuss things other than her game, Reese stood for what she believed in. A lot was discussed about her on the court celebrations. However, that is seemingly all in the past. Now Reese’s talents are getting noticed by all the right people. What are your thoughts on NIL in college athletics? Do you believe it is fair for NIL to be uncapped? Give us your thoughts on the situation in the comment section. Shaq Has Big Praise For LSU’s Angel Reese

Shaq is one of the most iconic NBA players of all time. The former Lakers big man isn’t one to forget his roots. The LSU star loves to give back to the university and has been a part of many big moments. However, O’Neal believes the recent stardom of the LSU Women’s Basketball star is the biggest he has ever seen at the university. Reese helped lead the Tigers to a National Championship earlier this month. Since the win, everyone has been clamoring for a chance to interview the basketball star.

O’Neal doesn’t hold back on his own greatest. Superman doesn’t allow others to tug on his cap. However, the NBA Hall-of-Famer is okay with giving Reese the title of greatest LSU athlete of all time. “[Angel’s] probably the greatest athlete ever to come out of LSU Sports.” O’Neal went on to give his reasoning behind his statement. He claims that Reese brought the goods back to campus. Meaning she succeeded in her National Championship quest. Whereas O’Neal left college empty-handed.

Shaq Sees Amazing Talent In Angel Reese

The Big Aristotle even compared Reese to other LSU stars in defending her crown. O’Neal mentioned Burrow bring home the goods. But the former Lakers big says Reese is a superior athlete to Burrow. Whatever your opinions may be, those three will now be forever enshrined in an Mt. Rushmore of LSU athletes. Reese’s talents weren’t the only thing that caught the attention of the media during her Final Four run. Her in-game celebration caught some flack from some who felt it might have been over the top.

It has always been the case that when Shaq speaks, we listen. Reese has a big supporter in O’Neal, and for good reason. Only a select few athletes get the opportunity to call themselves a national champion. Reese has now entered that elite conversation. Similarly, not many can claim to be one of the greatest athletes in their university’s history. However, Reese continues to break down barriers that many never believed a woman’s athlete was capable of. Do you agree with O’Neal’s statement on Reese? If not Reese, who is the greatest athlete to ever attend LSU? Let us know your opinions in the comment section. For the latest news in sports, keep it right here with HNHH.

Angel Reese Reveals Where Her Confidence Comes From

Angel Reese is continuing her media tour after helping the LSU Tigers win the National Championship. The Final Four MVP has made headline after headline with her style of play. However, not all of the headlines were for her performance. But about her style of celebration. There’s been a lot of talk about Reese’s taunting of Iowa player Caitlin Clark during the National Championship. Since the moment became an issue, Clark has come out in support of Reese and her actions.

The story of Reese’s celebration has slowly turned into just a player showing her emotions. Reese is an athlete performing at the highest level. Sometimes emotions will get involved when you care as much as Reese. On Friday, Reese made a guest appearance on ESPN’s First Take. The college basketball star discussed a few different topics. One of those topics was on the confidence she carries on the court. Reese mentioned that her confidence isn’t something that evolved. But rather something that comes naturally.

Angel Reese Thanks Mother For Confidence

“Looking at her and seeing how she never backed down to anything. She always stood her ground … Being able to just look at her and say ‘Mom, you showed me. You paved the way for me,” stated Reese. Reese gushed about how her mother was the perfect example for her growing up. The LSU star even gave her mom a special shoutout during her interview. Many in the media have had their opinions on Reese since the Final Four. However, her interview on Friday shows just how level-headed the basketball star truly is.

Angel Reese is a great story for many reasons. Firstly, as Reese has mentioned recently, she can be a shining example for younger girls who look like her. Next, she is a perfect example of how the transfer portal is beneficial to college athletes. Lastly, she has proven that sports are supposed to be fun. But yet, some want to focus on stories that should have never gotten as big as they did. Reese and Clark have proven that Women’s College Basketball has the star power to bring in viewership. Angel Reese And Ja Morant Link Up To Create Viral Video

Angel Reese is currently the biggest name in all of basketball. The LSU star is now making the media rounds after the Tigers’ National Championship victory. However, her play on the floor hasn’t been the only topic of discussion. Reese was vilified by some in the media for her in-game trash-talk directed at Caitlin Clark. Clark, who is a known trash talker herself, came to the defense of Reese’s actions. Now that the trash-talking debacle is behind everyone, Reese can finally celebrate her championship in peace.

The Women’s Final Four MVP is getting the opportunity to meet all the stars. On Wednesday, Reece tweeted a video of her and Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant. The pair were giving their best attempt at dancing for the camera. A moment that was shared in laughter by the two basketball stars. Both Reese and Morant are stars of the basketball world. Morant is currently in pursuit of his first NBA ring. While Reese is enjoying the spoils that come with being a champion.

Angel Reese Comments On Hilarious Video With Morant

Morant was one of the many stars that came to the defense of Reese over her in-game celebrations. While the likes of Keith Olbermann vehemently disagreed with her actions on the court. Olbermann has since apologized for his reaction on the topic. Stating that he wasn’t fully aware of the situation. No matter, the NCCA Women’s Tournament was a huge success for the sport. Women’s basketball took over all the talking points of the weekend. Even as the Men’s Final Four was taking place.

It was an important weekend for Angel Reese and women’s sports. This season’s tournament will be forever remembered for the celebrations. However, the play on the court shouldn’t be forgotten. LSU, South Carolina, Iowa, and Louisville should all remember what they accomplished this season. In addition, for the first time, women’s athletics are starting to be noticed by the masses. It has been a long road for the sport. Needless to say, the women should soak up the moment. They have long earned this celebration. For the latest on women’s sports, stay locked in with HNHH.

Caitlin Clark Supports Angel Reese Amid Trash Talk Drama

Caitlin Clark became a bonafide star over this past weekend. The Iowa star dazzled fans with her play on the court and her trash-talk game. Trash talk has long been a part of athletics. It just so happens Clark is one of the best in her sport. However, if you’re known for being a trash talker, you have to be ready to get it back even worse. After LSU defeated Clark’s Hawkeyes in the National Championship, Tigers star Angel Reese did exactly that.

Reese signaled to Clark with the “You Can’t See Me” pose that was made famous by WWE star John Cena. A call back to Clark using the pose during Iowa’s victory over Louisville. Since the moment happened with Reese, folks have been choosing sides. Some believe that what Reese did was unprofessional and classless. While others believe that things like this are a part of the game. Clark reveals what side of the debate she stands on.

Caitlin Clark Wants Trash Talk In The Game

Clark believes that moments like this are good for the game of basketball. In an interview with Outside The Lines, Clark said she sees nothing wrong with Reese’s actions. “Men have always had trash talk. … You should be able to play with that emotion. … That’s how every girl should continue to play,” Clark stated. The basketball star went even further, saying, “I don’t think Angel should be criticized at all.” That statement by Caitlin Clark should put the entire argument to rest.

Quite possibly, the greatest Final Four in women’s basketball history has been shadowed by nonsensical debates. If anything, the trash talk between players only brought more eyes and a spotlight on the players. However, these debates should take a back seat to the performances of these women. Do you feel that Reese’s celebration was a little too much? Or do you think that something like this does make the game fun? Let us know your thoughts on the topic in the comment section below.
