DDG Sets Himself Up For A Barrage Of Jokes In New Promo Video With Angel Reese

DDG recently posted up with Angel Reese to promote his new song with Real Boston Richey, and it was a bit of a backfire in one particular way. Of course, you can probably imagine what the mistake was in the video, and we’ll let the rapper himself explain it in his comment under the Instagram post below: “she had heels on, we the same height i swear.” A lot of people joked about the height difference here more than actually focus on the track itself. Well, that was probably the point, as any sort of engagement online is positive as long as you don’t mind the ends justifying the means.

If you want to actually check the song out, it goes by “What U Bad For” and it sees DDG talk about his recent breakup with Halle Bailey. “Thing about Halo mommy, you know that’s my baby forever,” he rapped about their son and his mother. “Y’all know that I love that [girl].” If only he and Real Boston Richey used a more compelling beat to maybe emphasize these points more.

Nevertheless, a lot of people are still curious about what happened between DDG and Halle Bailey, especially since they welcomed their son Halo into the world so soon ago. He admitted that he still hasn’t moved on from their split back in October, whereas she hasn’t said much about the whole thing other than chastising him for taking Halo to a Kai Cenat stream without letting her know about it. Still, amid a lot of online attacks that both receive, they always defend each other and course-correct wherever possible to take the load off the other person.

So maybe this clowning over this height difference is all worth it if it eventually leads people to look at DDG and Halle Bailey’s relationship. After all, it’s something he still seeks closure with and the closest thing on “What U Bad For” to a personal thematic focus. We can only wonder as to what other antics will come next in this often prolific saga. A nice, funny height joke is pretty reliable, so we’ll see what the next strategy is.

Angel Reese Addresses The Narrative That She Only Rebounds Her Own Misses

Angel Reese came into the WNBA as an established college basketball superstar. Overall, she was thrust into a rivalry with none other than Caitlin Clark. Clark struggled during her first few outings in the league, while Angel thrived thanks to her rebounding. Early in the season, it was believed that Reese was the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year. However, in recent weeks, CC has completely taken over, while Reese has continued to be a rebounding machine.

Unfortunately, Reese has been wrapped up in a destructive narrative about her game. Objectively speaking, her shooting percentages at the rim are atrocious for someone of her size. More often than not, she gets more rebounds than she does points. This has subsequently led to some people claiming that all of her rebounds are from her own misses. While this is not literally the case, it is still a narrative that has people questioning whether or not Reese has a strong enough offensive bag.

Angel Reese Dives Into The Debate

After a recent loss, Reese was asked about the narrative surrounding her rebounds. This led to an interesting answer in which she stood up for herself and her abilities. “A lot of people think it’s because I get my own rebounds, but statistically, it’s not,” Reese stated. “A lot of people think it’s because I’m the tallest on the court, when I’m not the tallest on the court.” Reese is clearly not here for any of the slander, and you have to appreciate that. We cannot wait to see her continue to grow as a player.

Let us know what you think of Angel Reese and her rookie season, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that people are being too disrespectful to the Chicago Sky star? Do you believe she deserves rookie of the year over Clark? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world. Shannon Sharpe Called Out By Fans For Hypocrisy Regarding Sha’Carri Richardson And Caitlin Clark’s Olympic Snubs

Two of the most talked-about American athletes, Sha’Carri Richardson and Caitlin Clark, come from diverse backgrounds and sports, among many other things. However, they have had similar setbacks at the Olympic level. Preventing them from qualifying for their first Olympics at pivotal junctures in their careers. Sha’Carri Richardson’s failing drug test kept him out of the Olympics in 2021. As for the USA women’s basketball team, which is headed to the Olympics in Paris, Caitlin Clark was just cut from the team for not “checking more boxes” than the other 12 players chosen. Shannon Sharpe has come under fire for his hypocrisy about the two women’s similar circumstances.

In the argument, Shannon Sharpe has stirred up some controversy. The well-known sportscaster has had contrasting views over Sha’Carri Richardson and Caitlin Clark’s failure to qualify for the Olympics. Fans claim that his criticism of Richardson is unjustified. Sharpe has since received heavy criticism for his remarks. Shannon Sharpe recently supported the rookie Caitlin Clark after word leaked that she would not be playing for the United States at the Olympics in Paris.

Shannon Sharpe Called Out For Sha’Carri Richardson And Caitlin Clark Hypocrisy

Shannon Sharpe backed Caitlin Clark by smashing USA Basketball’s decision to leave her off the Olympic team. He said, “Name a more popular woman basketball player right now than Caitlin Clark.” However, he had a fiery reaction to Sharri Richardson when asked about her losing her Olympic berth. Criticizing the sprinter, he said, “She could’ve competed. She didn’t qualify to compete. Stop the bulljive antics. Train hard. Sports aren’t sympathetic. You do or you don’t.”

Sha’Carri Richardson was suspended for ingesting prohibited drugs in violation of WADA regulations. She participated in and won the 100-meter US Olympic trial event in spite of her anguish. Sadly, Shannon Sharpe, who supported the authority’s choice of Caitlin Clark due to her popularity, didn’t appear to think much of this touching tale. The 2024 WNBA draft saw an average viewership of 2.45 million, the most ever for the yearly event, thanks in large part to Iowa women’s basketball player Caitlin Clark. The 22-year-old is a fantastic performer, scoring 16.8 points per contest on average. Fans of Sha’Carri Richardson, however, feel that Shannon Sharpe’s mockery of the current world champion’s supporters is inexcusable.

Stephen A. Smith Goes Off On Peter Rosenberg In Unhinged Rant After Caitlin Clark Criticism

Stephen A. Smith has been at the forefront of the Caitlin Clark discourse for the past few weeks. Yesterday, he called the decision to leave Caitlin Clark off of Team USA for the Olympics “stupid.” Additionally, he has gotten into heated arguments with several woman cohosts like Monica McNutt and Andraya Carter, both of whom are more informed about the WNBA than he is. Furthermore, Caitlin Clark is a political lightning rod for many people, and Smith is included in that number. Peter Rosenberg recently commented on the Caitlin Clark drama and mentioned Stephen A. Smith by name.  All in all, the comments seem to have really gotten to Stephen A.

Stephen A. Smith made a special rant before taking off for Dallas to cover Wednesday’s NBA finals game 3. He responds to Rosenberg by saying that Stephen A. has jumped on Caitlin Clark and is being treated unfairly. His point actually makes a lot of sense. Rosenberg said plainly that Caitlin Clark herself just wanted to play basketball. Nevertheless, she has become a symbol of something controversial for people like Stephen A. to latch on to. He says the idea that she is being treated unfairly is unfair to the other women of the WNBA, who are being treated like props. Additionally, Peter Rosenberg says that if that’s the angle you are going for, then maybe you don’t really care about the actual women’s game itself. Stephen A. took major offense.

Stephen A. Smith Claps back at Peter Rosenberg

Peter Rosenberg believes that Caitlin Clark has unwillingly become the face of white fragility and that Stephen A. Smith has hopped on that train. Stephen A. is very upset if you watch the clip. He curses throughout the rant and is personally offended by the acquisition. Additionally, he clarifies his position about Caitlin Clark being left off the Olympic team. Smith says that she doesn’t deserve to be on the team. Nevertheless, Smith cares about marketing more than anything and says that the team needs Caitlin Clark to grow the sport. Nevertheless, Rosenberg’s point about actually caring about the games being played is reinforced by Smith’s own doubling down.

Stephen A. Smith does not take criticism well and personally went after Rosenberg in his 11-minute rant. It is pretty funny that Smith was literally about to hop on a flight and stopped everything to rant about a slight diss. Overall, Stephen A. Smith is not someone who admits they are wrong or changes their position. Ultimately, he cares about money and views more than anything, which is why First Take continues to push out Caitlin Clark’s debates. All in all, Peter Rosenberg will more than likely respond in due time.

Plies Asks Caitlin Clark Fans An Important Question

Caitlin Clark is the hottest name in women’s sports right now despite her WNBA team, The Indiana Fever, being 3-10. Clark’s name is a lightning rod for controversy. She has her own fans who generally don’t care about the WNBA but only her being a part of it. There has been a lot of talk about Caitlin Clark growing the game, but is it really growing the game if it’s just one person people care about? That is the basic question rapper Plies posed to his timeline yesterday.

Plies asked a question, presumably while watching the Connecticut Sun blow out the Indiana Fever. He asked, “The 10,000 CC Fans At This Connecticut Game! Don’t Even Cheer For No Other Players That Scores Other Than Her. So How Is This Growing The Game??? (Not Being Funny Asking A Serious Question).” he observed that the fans at the game only cared about Clark and would rarely cheer for the other team or her teammates. The Fever was playing an away game, but the fact that some believe that the majority of fans don’t even care about anyone else may be a big concern. Plies is just curious about what fans think of the situation, hence the question.

Plies Asks Caitlin Clark Fans An Important Question

Many fans replied to Plies’s question about Caitlin Clark. Many of the replies cite the record attendance and ratings for the WNBA and attribute it all to Caitlin Clark’s influence. One user compared her to Tiger Woods, who brought in millions of new golf fans. The big difference is that Tiger Woods was a dominant force in the jump, and Clark is still finding her footing in a physical league. The Caitlin Clark fans are seemingly more and more fans of the individual and could care less about the actual sport. This is why coverage of the WNBA leans so heavily toward talking about Caitlin Clark’s treatment in the league. Rather than the actual basketball that’s being played.

Overall, Plies asked an interesting question. Growing the game is the big thing fans keep bringing up, but from a neutral perspective, it seems like building a house on sand. What happens if Clark is just a middling player who can score and doesn’t dominate like she did in college? What if Caitlin Clark fans look at other teams like Sun, who are dominant, or the Las Vegas Aces, who have the best women’s basketball player on the planet? All in all, it’ll take some time to see if putting all of the WNBA’s eggs in one basket was a smart move.

Stephen A. Smith And Andraya Carter Get Into Heated Debate About Caitlin Clark Being Snubbed From The Olympic Team

Stephen A. Smith is doubling down on his Caitlin Clark takes, proving no matter what expert on women’s basketball he speaks to, he will not change his mind. First Take addressed the news that Clark has been left off of Team USA’s roster for the 2024 Summer Olympics, as was to be expected on Monday’s broadcast. Though Smith joined the discussion after Andraya Carter, Chiney Ogwumike, and Shannon Sharpe offered their opinions, it wasn’t for lack of passion or interest; rather, the ESPN personality chastised USA Basketball for failing to take into account the commercial benefits of having Clark on its roster.

“This is about what I will personally label ‘The Idiocy of Team USA Women’s Basketball.’ How dare you make this decision. It’s stupid,” Smith said. “Caitlin Clark does not deserve a spot ahead of any of the players on this roster — if we’re talking just basketball. You know we’re not.” Stephen A. Smith continued, addressing Ogwumike and Carter in particular, both of whom had supported USA Basketball’s choice, drawing comparisons between Team USA’s roster selection process and his creation of First Take.

Stephen A. Smith And Andraya Carter Get Into Caitlin Clark Debate

“I think y’all are spectacular. But as spectacular as you are about talking the game of basketball, is that why you think I call for you to be on First Take?” Smith said. “It ain’t just because of your expertise. It’s because you’re great television. You matter. You draw an audience… you make decisions marketing.” He continued, “I want people watching. I want eyeballs. I want advertising dollars. Why? Because [Sharpe] will get paid. Y’all will get paid. And guess who else will get paid? You see where I’m coming from? That’s what it’s about. Stop acting otherwise. We know this.” he concluded, saying, “You don’t sit up there and pass on Caitlin Clark. Team USA, it was a dumb decision.”

Carter remained steadfast in her belief that Team USA had the right to put basketball before marketing. However, that only made Stephen A. Smith want to give the former Tennessee guard some uninvited career advice. “Andraya, I strongly suggest you re-think such positions, especially when it comes to you. Because marketing matters,” he said. “I am telling you right now you are going to be underpaid for the rest of what I believe will be an illustrious career unless you get your mind right about that marketing. It matters.” Andraya Carter replied swiftly, “I hear you, Stephen A. But I will not sacrifice my basketball knowledge and my integrity in terms of the game for marketing,” she said. “My marketing is doing just fine.” Overall, it was a heated debate today on First Take.

Chennedy Carter Gets Harassed By Fan While Getting Off Chicago Sky Bus Four Days After Caitlin Clark Incident

The consequences of Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter’s strong foul on Caitlin Clark are becoming more and more out of pocket. Three of Carter’s Sky teammates claimed to have experienced harassment at a team hotel. The incident took place four days after the rookie Indiana Fever player received a hard shoulder check. The Sky travel to play the Washington Mystics on Thursday. Carter isn’t mentioned by name in any of the tweets. However, according to Angel Reese and Isabelle Harrison, as the team got off the bus, one of their colleagues was deliberately targeted and had a camera in her face. Ultimately, the tension was defused by the team’s security, according to Michaela Onyenwere.

Later, Annie Costabile of the Chicago Sun-Times offered additional information. Stating that one man approached the group while carrying a camera and made an effort to talk to Carter. According to reports, Sky general manager Jeff Pagliocca stated that team security walked the man away and that no police were contacted. “It was over as fast as it started,” Pagliocca said. “I’m very confident in our security always making our players feel safe. Today was a great example of how critical they are to our team.”

Chennedy Carter Gets Camera Put In Her Face

The incident is the most recent indication that Carter’s penalty on Clark, which was eventually raised to a flagrant foul, has developed into what is maybe the most contentious play in the WNBA this season. Furthermore, it has ignited a heated discussion about Clark’s standing in the league. After the game, Carter declined to talk about the foul and subsequently stated that she had “no regrets” about what she had done. She even went so far as to challenge Clark’s ability to do anything other than make 3-pointers on social media.

In a statement, Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon said that the foul was “not appropriate.” Reese, who was spotted applauding on the sidelines when Carter fouled Clark, said she was delighted to “take the bad guy role.” Notably, Carter and Clark were seen jawing back and forth the possession prior to the hard foul. The discourse around Clark’s treatment is a complicated matter. It’s not a good sign that fans are taking things into their own hands. Overall, the whole situation is taking away from what the WNBA should be trying to promote.

Angel Reese Has Second Technical Foul Rescinded After Getting Ejected Due To Weak Call

Tuesday’s Chicago Sky vs. New York Liberty game saw Angel Reese’s night stop early. The rookie sensation was ejected for two incredibly quick technical fouls in the fourth quarter. Fans called the techs weak and folks like NBA star Lonzo Ball were outraged. Reese was thrown for waving her hand at the referee in annoyance after allegedly telling the official, “that’s bulls**t,” regarding the first foul called against her. The pool report confirmed that the second T was given for this insignificant gesture.

Even Reese’s opponents were taken aback by her surprising disqualification. The Liberty’s star player, Sabrina Ionescu, expressed surprise that Reese was ejected for such a minor outburst. While watching the game from the sidelines, Lonzo Ball criticized the referee on Twitter and advised Reese to save her money by letting him pay for her fine himself. The WNBA swiftly overturned the second technical foul on Wednesday. The league is aware that ignoring the referee does not warrant a technical foul. It’s a little late for a correction, but it’s a step in the right direction.

Angel Reese Has Second Technical Foul Rescinded

Angel Reese’s season-long technical foul total is reduced by one, and the corresponding fine is waived. It doesn’t help the Sky much, considering they had to play the remainder of the game without her. As is occasionally the case in the NBA, the league should definitely have a brief conversation with the referees regarding what makes a legitimate Tech, emphasizing that getting waved away does not satisfy the same standards as being looked at. Overall, it was an overreaction from the ref.

Angel Reese is still adjusting in her first season in the WNBA. She has been rebounding the ball like a few other players, but her shot-making has not been up to snuff. As the season goes on and she gets used to the physicality and pace of the game, she should improve as a scorer. The WNBA is on the rise. Several new faces in the league, along with the superstars who have been building the league already, are a part of the surge. Overall, Caitlin Clark is the big name that is driving much of the discussion, but the more the love and attention is spread around, the m ore successful the WNBA will be i the long run.

Angel Reese Gets Ejected For No Good Reason, Lonzo Ball Offers To Pay Her Fine

The New York Liberty took home an 88-75 win over the Chicago Sky on Tuesday night, but the major talking point around the game was Angel Reese. In the closing minutes, with the Liberty solidly in charge, Sky rookie Angel Reese got two fast technical fouls for her first expulsion from a WNBA game. The expulsion took happened with New York leading 82-71 and 2:31 remaining. Reese first got a call against her for a personal foul while pushing for a rebound. Two further technical whistles swiftly followed, and Reese had been dismissed from the game. The ejection happened so fast that the broadcast team thought it was another player who had been ejected.

Upon reviewing the footage, it becomes clear that the sequence of events leading to Reese’s ejection was missed by the live broadcast. Referee Charles Watson initially called a personal foul against Reese. In response, Reese briefly objected, then turned her back on Watson with a dismissive hand wave. Watson, in turn, responded with two technical fouls and an overhead toss motion, indicating that Reese was no longer permitted to play. Many fans have criticized the ejection as weak and unnecessary. Notably, NBA star Lonzo Ball expressed his support for Reese, calling the referee who issued the technical fouls “weak.”

Angel Reese Ejected, Lonzo Ball Sends Support

Following the ejection, Watson continued to walk to the opposite side of the court. Angel Reese and her Sky teammates stood, stunned by the turn of events. The exact words Reese said are unclear, but it was evident that they had a significant impact on Watson. Play then resumed, and New York held on for the victory. Reese’s final stats for the game included 13 points, 10 rebounds, and two technical fouls. Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon, in a post-game interview, revealed that the officials did not provide any explanation for Reese’s ejection. “I tried to get an explanation. I did not,” Weatherspoon said. She concluded, “I don’t know to this moment what has happened.”

Lonzo Ball was one of the vocal spectators who did not like the technicals. He said of the ref, “Ref that threw out [Angel Reese] is weak btw…You know who you are (Keep ya money Angel i got you.” Lonzo Ball has offered to pay her fine for what seems like a massive overreaction from the official. Overall, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky continue to make headlines. She is, after all, one of the biggest reasons that interest in the WNBA has increased this season.

Mase Weighs In On Caitlin Clark Receiving Hard Fouls In The WNBA: “It Comes Across As Hating”

Mase has thrown his hat in the ring of Caitlin Clark defenders, speaking out against the WNBA rookie sensation’s issues with receiving hard fouls from the opposition. Despite being the third-most fouled player in the league, the Indiana Fever rookie said in an interview with NBC News that aired on Monday, June 3, that she made an effort not to let the criticism get to her. When asked about the hard foul that has had everyone talking, she said, “I wasn’t expecting it. But I think it’s … just respond, come down, let the play do the talking. It is what it is. It’s a physical game, go make the free throw and then execute on offense.”

On a recent episode of the It Is What It Is, Mase defended Catilin Clark. He said on the podcast, “They are just playing down the significance of just female sports being portrayed the right way.” He continued, saying, “If you want branding dollars, then you have to be brand appropriate. You go further when your brand is clean enough to be marketed on different platforms. […]” He thinks the other players are purposefully being physical with her and that the treatment she has been receiving makes them seem like haters.

Mase Gives His Two Cents on the Caitlin Clark Situation

Mase continued to say, “Not that you should be helping her, but you definitely shouldn’t be trying to hurt her. It shouldn’t be over-aggression towards Caitlin, because it comes across as hating.” The Caitlin Clark discourse is continuing to heat up. Everyone is commenting on the harsh treatment during her debut WNBA season. Mase sees the social media clips and the outrage machine that is perpetually churning and has come to the conclusion that there is something unfair going on with Caitlin Clark. Overall, to the world outside of diehard WNBA fans, the treatment does, in fact, seem a tad unfair.

Caitlin Clark has been a major factor in the WNBA having this moment of popularity. Let’s hope the discourse that has been at times, toxic can calm down enough to enjoy some basketball. The WNBA is a rough league. There is a level of physicality in the league that you don’t see in the NBA. For that reason, some of these fouls may be shocking to new viewers. But people that have watched and covered the league will let you know these types of hard fouls are pretty common, and so is the treatment of star rookies. Overall, Mase thinks the fouls aren’t a good look for the vets of the WNBA. We will see if anything changes with how Caitlin Clark is received.
