Ex-Wife Places Lien on Tyrese Gibson’s Atlanta Mansion Amid Child Support Dispute

Tyrese Arrested for Unpaid Child Support

Tyrese Arrested for Unpaid Child Support

Tyrese Gibson is facing new legal troubles involving his second ex-wife, Samantha Lee Gibson. After being arrested last month for intentionally underpaying child support for their 5-year-old daughter, Soraya, Tyrese now has a lien placed against his sprawling Atlanta mansion.

In an exclusive report by In Touch, it was revealed that Samantha’s legal team filed the lien on September 17, 2023. The Gleklen Law Firm, led by attorney Adam Gleklen, has placed a claim of $217,231, plus interest, against Tyrese’s 18,000-square-foot Georgia estate. The seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion is now at the center of the ex-couple’s ongoing legal battle over unpaid child support and legal fees.

The lien is the result of court-ordered legal fees that Tyrese, 45, was supposed to cover on behalf of Samantha, with whom he tied the knot in 2017. Their marriage ended in 2020, but the court disputes surrounding child support for their daughter have continued to escalate.

This legal development comes shortly after Tyrese’s recent arrest, adding further complications to his personal and financial matters. Despite their divorce, the exes remain entangled in a contentious court battle, with Tyrese now facing mounting financial pressure from both child support obligations and legal debts.

As of now, it remains to be seen how Tyrese will respond to the lien and whether this will prompt further legal actions in their ongoing case.

Trump Says Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Sought Out His Phone Number After Assassination Attempt

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has a soft spot for former President Donald Trump. Trump appeared on the Six Feet Under podcast with wrestlers Mark “The Undertaker” Calaway and Glenn “Kane” Jacobs and talked about a bevy of topics, one of which was The Rock wanting to check in on his health after this past summer’s assassination attempt.

“You know, [The Rock] was great. I never thought he liked me. And I felt badly, because I think he’s a terrific guy. Then [UFC President] Dana White said, when I was shot — I was shot to the ear, you may have heard about it… Rock called Dana and said, ‘I want to have his number. I want to have his number. What he did is sort of incredible.’ He considered it bravery. To me I considered it, ‘What’s going on here?’ But it was very nice actually, The Rock. You might mention that I said that.”

A$AP Rocky Felony Assault Trial Underway: How Did We Get Here?

Screen Shot 2024 10 21 at 3.29.13 PM

A$AP Rocky, the rapper, is currently on trial for two counts of felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm. The charges stem from a 2021 incident in West Hollywood where Rocky is accused of firing a weapon at his former friend, A$AP Relli (Terell Ephron). Rocky has denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty.

The incident allegedly took place outside a hotel in November 2021, where a heated argument reportedly led to Rocky pulling out a handgun. Relli testified in court that Rocky threatened him and fired the weapon, though no major injuries were reported. Relli later filed a civil lawsuit for assault, battery, and emotional distress, seeking damages.

Rocky was arrested in April 2022, after returning from a vacation with Rihanna, and released on bail. In August of that year, he was officially charged. The trial began in October 2024, after a judge ruled that there was sufficient evidence to proceed.

Rocky faces up to nine years in prison if convicted. His lawyer, Joe Tacopina, maintains that Rocky will be vindicated, expressing confidence in the defense’s case. Tacopina also mentioned Rocky’s desire to protect his family from the proceedings, indicating that Rihanna would not attend the trial.

When it comes to jury selection, that is set to begin on November 12 following a lengthy pre-trial process.

Travis Scott's Circus Maximus Tour Breaks Ticket Sales Records

As Travis Scott continues to travel the world as part of his Circus Maximus Tour, he’s also continuing to break records along the way. Most recently, his Circus Maximus Tour broke the record for the highest number of tickets sold for a rap tour, selling over 1.5 million tickets since the tour kicked off in 2023.

Scott recently became the first solo rap artist to sell out shows at two major venues: MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, and SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. He also set a record on another continent, breaking the attendance record for his recent shows at Allianz Stadium in Sydney, Australia, with almost 80,000 people showing up for the two shows last week (the second of which featured a surprise guest appearance by The Weeknd).

While Scott’s tour has broken the record for the most tickets sold for a rap tour, the total profit won’t likely be known until its completion. As of now, the tour has netted about $155 million. For reference, the current highest-grossing rap tours are as follows:

$216m – Drake: It Was All A Blur
$111m – Kendrick Lamar: The Big Steppers
$105m – 50 Cent: The Final Lap
$103m – Drake & Migos: Aubrey & 3 Migos
$83m – Travis Scott: Circus Maximus
$81m – Drake & Future: Summer Sixteen

$67m – Nicki Minaj: Pink Friday 2
$64m – Travis Scott: ASTROWORLD

Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar Confirmed Killed In Gaza By Israeli Defense Forces

Screen Shot 2024 10 17 at 4.31.27 PM

Israeli forces in Gaza have killed Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader responsible for orchestrating the October 7, 2023, terrorist attacks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed. Sinwar, a key figure within the Iran-backed militant group, was the target of an intensive manhunt following the attacks. Netanyahu’s announcement marks a significant development in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Vice President Kamala Harris responded to the news, stating, “Sinwar’s death gives us an opportunity to finally end the war in Gaza,” underscoring the potential impact of the event on future diplomatic efforts.

Sinwar, who was born in a Gaza refugee camp and spent many years imprisoned in Israel, had risen to become one of the most influential leaders within Hamas. Following the Oct. 7 attacks, which left a profound scar on the region, Sinwar was labeled a “dead man walking” by Israeli military officials.

After the discovery of Sinwar’s body, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant referenced a biblical verse on X, writing, “‘You will pursue your enemies and they will fall before you by the sword.’ — Leviticus 26. Our enemies cannot hide. We will pursue and eliminate them.”

While Sinwar’s death has stirred significant reactions, families of Israeli hostages have urged the government to leverage this moment for negotiating their loved ones’ release. On the Palestinian side, there is cautious optimism that his death might pave the way for the end of the war.

Mahdi Ghuloom, a regional security expert at Le Beck International, noted that Sinwar’s death could be a major political victory for Israel’s government, especially as the nation recently marked the anniversary of the deadly attacks. Before Sinwar’s death was officially confirmed, Ghuloom commented that his elimination might open a “window of opportunity for cease-fire talks to resume,” since Sinwar had reportedly been a key obstacle to those discussions.

“We are already seeing statements by Israeli hostage families calling on PM Netanyahu to grasp such an opportunity and secure a hostage release deal,” Ghuloom added. However, he stressed that it remains uncertain whether the Israeli government will take advantage of this moment and how Hamas may evolve under new leadership. Sinwar’s death, he concluded, could signify a shift in Hamas’ strategy in its conflict with Israel.

2024 Elections: Where both candidates stand on the major issues

2024 Elections Where both candidates stand on the major issues

With the 2024 presidential election less than a month away, there is a lot of information (and misinformation) about where the candidates stand on major issues that impact American voters. Using information from a variety of non-partisan sources, we’ve summarized where the candidates stand on key issues as well as provided resources to find more unbiased information about presidential and other candidates’ stances before casting your vote.

Abortion:

Harris has stated that she will urge congress to reinstate access to abortion nationally as it was before the historic 2022 Supreme Court decision that essentially overturned Roe v. Wade.

In the past, Trump has supported the Supreme Court’s ruling that abortion access should be decided a the state level. He is unclear as to whether or not he would sign a blanket federal abortion ban. However, he has indicated that he would support a federal ban after a certain length of pregnancy. It is unclear if there would be exemptions if the mother’s life was in danger.

Crime:

Harris took a tough-on-crime approach as a District Attorney, but now has called for criminal justice reform, especially for non-violent drug offenses. She has also suggested temporarily pausing the death penalty.

Trump believes in giving police more authority to fight crime. He has called for more funding to train and hire police as well as pushed for qualified immunity of law enforcement. He has also called for the national guard to assist local police as needed.

Economy:

While she initially proposed repealing the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in its entirety, it appears that Harris now plans to extend the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act provisions for those making less than $400,000 a year, expand the child tax credit and earned income tax credit, and add more funding to subsidize Affordable Care Act premiums. Harris said that she will end taxes on tips. She plans to pay for this by raising corporate tax and capital gains rates both from 21% to 28% and increasing tax rates for wealthier Americans and large corporations. Under her plan, billionaires would have a minimum tax rate of 25%. Harris has proposed lowering taxes for small businesses. Harris has proposed expansions to the Child Tax Credit (CTC).

Trump also plans to extend the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act provisions. Trump says that he will end taxes on overtime pay and Social Security benefits for individuals and reduce the corporate tax rate to 15% for domestic American manufacturers. Trump has also said that he will end taxes on tips. Trump will pay for this by imposing tariffs of between 10% to 20% on every foreign import coming into the US from places other than China. Imports from China would have a tariff rate of over 60%. He has also said that he will reduce corporate taxes in order to stimulate hiring and economic growth. While Trump has not explicitly stated whether or not he believes in expansions to the Child Tax Credit (CTC), his running mate JD Vance has indicated that like Harris, he also supports expansion.

Education

Harris has said that she will continue to work towards reducing burdensome student loan debt and provide more funding for colleges and universities (especially HBCUs), including technical training.

Trump has said that he will eliminate the Department of Education. This would leave the oversight of public schools to the states if they chose to have oversight in the matter.

Environment:

Harris has said that she plans to reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil. She plans to continue Biden’s plans to offer tax incentives for eco-friendly initiatives at the corporate and individual level (such as tax credits for the purchase of electric vehicles). She has said that she plans to address how environmental issues often disproportionally impact poor and minority communities, but she has not laid out specific measures to do so.

Trump has said that he will end the “Green New Deal atrocities” on his first day in office. It is assumed that he was referring to certain Biden administration energy policies, which include vehicle greenhouse gas emissions limits and increases in fuel economy standards. He also plans to reduce American dependence on foreign oil by expediting natural gas pipelines into the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and New York as well as tap into stores of liquid gold for energy development. He will also exit the Paris Climate Agreement as he did when he was in office (Biden rejoined during his term). He also plans to fight harder against certain legal challenges from environmentalists.

Healthcare:

While in office, Trump made an unsuccessful attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare. He has indicated that he will seek to repeal and replace it with a “better” plan, although specifics have not been provided. Trump has also been vocal about putting caps on life-saving prescription medications such as insulin. During his tenure in office, he pressed for work requirements and more vetting as conditions for Medicaid eligibility.

During her tenure as VP, Harris and the Biden administration enacted the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which temporarily expanded eligibility for and increased ACA Marketplace subsidies, which are set to continue through 2025 as part of the Inflation Reduction Act.

Housing Crisis:

Harris has said that she will advocate for more federal funding to provide affordable housing and reduce homelessness.

Trump has said that he will encourage more construction of new homes by incentivizing homebuilders to build new affordable homes.

Neither candidate has explicitly addressed whether or not they will regulate corporations abilities to buy multiple residential properties.

Israel/Gaza:

Harris has been critical of Hamas and supported Israel’s right to defend itself, but does not support further Israeli invasions into Palestinian territory. She has called for a cease-fire and has said that she supports a two-state solution.

Trump has expressed both support and criticism for Israel, but largely believes that the United States should keep involvement to a minimum.

Marijuana Legalization:

Despite her aggressive prosecution of marijuana-related crimes while district attorney and attorney general, Harris now supports full marijuana legalization at the federal level, explaining that marijuana laws have historically targeted minorities in the past. She has also called for nonviolent marijuana-related criminal offenses to be expunged.

Trump has indicated that he supports the legalization of marijuana and the possible expungement of marijuana-related criminal offenses, but believes that it should be decided at the state level rather than the federal level.

Ukraine:

Harris has repeatedly expressed support for Ukraine and during her tenure with the Biden administration, announced that about $1.5 billion in aid would be sent to Ukraine for infrastructure and other civilian assistance.

Trump has not taken an official side in the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia (referring to it more than once as a proxy war), but said that brokering a peace deal will be a high priority once he is in office. Trump has made no indication that he will continue to fund Ukraine’s efforts.

NFL Extends Partnership With Jay-Z, Roc Nation on Super Bowl Halftime Show

The NFL has a reason to dust their shoulders off because the league is extending its partnership with Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s entertainment power house, to continue producing the Super Bowl halftime show.

We’re right in the thick of the NFL season and guess that was perfect timing for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to confirm the ongoing collaboration during the NFL owners meeting in Atlanta.

Goodell described the relationship as highly beneficial for both parties. “It’s been a mutually positive relationship,” Goodell stated, referring to Jay-Z and Roc Nation’s CEO Desiree Perez.

Get this, while addressing the nature of the partnership, Goodell added, “I’m not sure either one of us really spend much time talking about contracts. Jay is happy. Desiree Perez is happy. I’m happy, so we’re all good.”

If you recall, the partnership, which originally began in 2019, saw Roc Nation take the lead in advising and selecting artists for major NFL performances, including the coveted Super Bowl halftime show. Additionally, Roc Nation has played a significant role in supporting the NFL’s Inspire Change initiative, a social justice program that has distributed $375 million in grants to various causes.

If you’re curious about the math, while the original deal was reportedly valued at $25 million over five years, specifics regarding the value and duration of the new extension remain undisclosed.

The collaboration between the NFL and Roc Nation began at a time when the league was under intense scrutiny for its response to Colin Kaepernick’s protests and players kneeling during the national anthem. Some called it disingenuous. Others felt it was a step in the right direction.

Since the partnership took effect, the Super Bowl has featured headline performances from top artists such as Rihanna, The Weeknd, and Shakira. Kendrick Lamar is slated to perform at the upcoming Super Bowl in New Orleans.

Anyways, the partnership between Roc Nation and the NFL has evolved into a powerful platform for entertainment and social change, strengthening the league’s public image and diversifying its cultural outreach.

Well, there you have it. The NFL x Roc Nation and Super Bowl shows will rock on.

Lil Uzi Vert Teases Release Of “Eternal Atake 2” With Album Trailer Shoot

Lil Uzi Vert is gearing up for a return. The rapper shocked fans and critics alike with PINK TAPE in 2023. They have been relatively quiet on the music front since, but they are seemingly ready to make noise. Lil Uzi Vert is scheduled to film a trailer for Eternal Atake 2 on October 16. The revelation came with internet clues and information regarding the anticipated sequel. All signs point to the album being ready to go, with a release date around the corner.

The rapper posted a photo of Madison Square Garden with the caption: “Meet me here 6:30 PM.” Fans knew something big was going to happen, but the Lil Uzi Vert Discord seemed to confirm it. According to the user HeavenorHell, Uzi has had Eternal Atake 2 ready to go for over a month. The user alleged that Lil Uzi Vert originally planned to release the album early in October, but was forced to delay it. The shoot on October 16, however, seemingly confirms that the rollout is starting back up again. “Idk how the info bout it came out,” the user added. “But it’s been ready for release for quite a while now.”

Lil Uzi Vert Announced The Album Back In 2021

Fans have been waiting to hear Eternal Atake 2 for years. Lil Uzi Vert confirmed the sequel’s existence in 2021. There have been several starts and stops in the intervening period, however. The rapper put a halt to Eternal Atake 2 to focus on the aforementioned PINK TAPE. They also confirmed that Luv Is Rage 3 is in the works, with various leaks from both sequels making their way online. Lil Uzi Vert confused fans in the summer of 2023, as well. The rapper claimed both albums would be shelved so they could prioritize Barter 16, a Young Thug tribute album.

Leaks once again reared their ugly head, and Lil Uzi Vert decided to shelve Barter 16. The rapper has decided to shift their focus back to Eternal Atake 2 in 2024, however. They teased the album as recently as August. This timeline makes sense with what the Discord user claimed regarding its completion. Uzi is seemingly more serious about the album than ever. Hopefully the album teaser means that fans will get a single and a release date sooner than later.
