Carmen Bryan the infamous ex of Nas who also had an affair with Jay-Z, took to Instagram to criticize Jay-Z in the face of allegations accusing the star of raping a 13-year-old girl.

She posted: “These days people don’t defend what is right, they defend who they like! And that’s why we call you “groupie”.

Screen Shot 2024 12 11 at 11.36.28 AM

The author and entrepreneur fell pregnant during a nine-year affair with the rapper that took place between 1995-2004.

She pointed out the rapper’s lyrics in his feature on Kanye West’s song ‘Monster’ – threatening to “rape and pillage your village, women and children”.

Bryan previously worked in the music industry, referring to herself in her autobiography as the ‘hip hop Helen of Troy’.

Yesterday, Jay-Z asked for the identity of a woman who accused him of raping her when she was just 13 to be revealed – or for the case against him to be dismissed.

Lawyer Tony Buzbee, representing the anonymous rape accuser, has alleged Jay-Z ‘harassed’ his family – and said the rapper’s claims of ‘blackmail’ are ‘bogus and laughable’.

Legal papers refiled on Sunday claim Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, alongside Sean Combs, AKA ‘P Diddy’ drugged and raped the complainant, named only as Jane Doe, at an afterparty following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.

Mr Carter has described the case as a “blackmail attempt” by the claimant’s lawyer, saying his “only heartbreak” was for his family.

The lawyer said: “Let me be clear: We will not be bullied or intimidated by these shenanigans. And our clients won’t be silenced.”

The federal civil lawsuit was originally filed in October in the Southern District of New York, listing Combs as a defendant, but was refiled on Sunday to add Mr Carter.
Thoughts?

Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg Preview New Song “Thank You” Ahead Of “Missionary” Collab Album

As if Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre’s upcoming new collab album Missionary didn’t need more bangers (from what the singles indicate), they have even more in the vault. Moreover, the duo recently stopped by Complex Con for a live taping of the Drink Champs show with N.O.R.E., DJ EFN, and the rest of the crew. They played an unreleased and unfinished collab titled “Thank You,” which apparently will not make the new project’s final tracklist. It’s an awesome West Coast-flavored jam with a killer sample (or interpolation, maybe?) of Sly and the Family Stone’s “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin).”

During this sit-down, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg spoke on Missionary as a whole, with the former praising it among his finest craft to date. “Snoop came in and allowed me to get down the way I get down,” he remarked. “You know, I feel like this is some of my best work. Because my mentality for the musicianship and everything that goes into doing this s**t within those 12 notes has just advanced so much. So, yeah, I feel like right now, today, this is some of my best work.”

Snoop Dogg & Dr Dre Preview “Thank You”

While we’re sad that “Thank You” will apparently not make Missionary‘s tracklist, it seems like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have a lot of fire on the project to make up for it. For example, the duo and Alus released the single “Outta Da Blue” recently, which is a hard-hitting trunk-knocker with an engaging bounce and some compelling back-and-forths between Dre and Snoop. Sure, the tracks so far depend quite strongly on samples, but that’s part of the creativity and impressive fusions that they do so well.

Meanwhile, during their Drink Champs conversation, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg nearly broke out in tears when discussing the evolution of their legacies and craft. There’s a lot of excitement for Missionary to be much more than just a solid comeback album, and if “Thank You” is leading us the right way, then that’s exactly what we will get. Hopefully the cut lands on a deluxe version down the road or as a stand-alone single.

50 Cent Finally Weighs In On Jay-Z & Diddy Rape Allegations

50 Cent reacts to the new lawsuit accusing Jay-Z and Diddy of sexual assault with an Instagram post that questions the Super Bowl. After the news broke, 50 posted, “Ok, I don’t know what’s going on, but are we gonna still have the Super Bowl? 😟I’m just asking for a friend!” The post arrives after 50 has been frequently asking about Jay-Z’s whereabouts during Diddy’s legal drama in interviews. Jay-Z and 50 Cent have been rivals since 50 dropped “How To Rob” in 1999. Over the summer, 50 revealed that he and Diddy have never been friends and he has never attended a Diddy party. 50 has been trolling Diddy since the mogul’s legal drama began in 2023.

During his interview with Cam’ron, 50 shared that Jay-Z is the reason he wasn’t originally a part of the promotions for his 2022 Super Bowl performance. “The NFL has no issues with me,” 50 told Cam. “This is why I was saying I knew what ol’ boy [Jay-Z] was doing with the Super Bowl. He was doing some wild sh–, Cam, because he was saying to Em and them that the NFL had the issue with me. And I’m like, ‘Well, what’s the issue? Why don’t they have an issue when I’m becoming a partner with the actual teams? But they have an issue with my performance? It makes no sense.’”

50 Cent Reacts To Jay-Z & Diddy’s Rape Lawsuit

According to a re-filed lawsuit, Jay-Z and Diddy are accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000. Jay-Z immediately denied the claims and called the lawsuit an “extortion” attempt in a statement. “My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a “lawyer” named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!! These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!”

50 Cent was accused of sexual assault by Daphne Joy, his ex-girlfriend and mother of his son, in May. 50 would respond with a defamation lawsuit that would eventually be dropped in September after Joy dropped her allegations in July.

Casanova’s Evolution Shines in New Album ‘I Get It Now’

Brooklyn’s own Casanova strips back his gritty exterior in his latest release, I Get It Now, a 12-track exploration of growth, reflection, and redemption. The album dives into the rapper’s personal transformation, showcasing his journey through shadow work to emerge as a better man.

A Journey of Reflection

The album’s lead single, “Forgive Me Father,” captures the essence of Casanova’s self-awareness and serves as an entry point into his evolution. Directed by Nimi Hendrix, the song’s visual juxtaposes the emcee’s 2006 past with his present self. Scenes of Casanova preparing for robberies are contrasted with moments of family happiness, revealing the toll his past life took on his loved ones.

As the video progresses, the weight of his actions becomes clear, culminating in a poignant scene where the past Casanova meets his present self at a church tabernacle. The visual closes with a stark reminder of his real-life arrest and mugshot, ending with the words:
“People with nothing will help you lose everything. I hope that don’t go over your head.”

The song’s hook, “So fuck family and fuck friends,” reflects the pain and betrayal that shaped his life, while lines like “Who let the Devil in?” illustrate his growing self-awareness and efforts to confront the forces that influenced his decisions.

The Themes of I Get It Now

The album balances vulnerability with variety, exploring topics like:

  • Lust in the sultry track “Please.”
  • Luxury and wealth in the upbeat “Miami,” featuring Kevin Ross.
  • Resentment and perseverance in “Hate Me,” which opens with lyrics printed on the album’s cover art.

Despite the struggles chronicled in tracks like “Hate Me” and “Ride For Nothing,” Casanova showcases resilience, focusing on providing for his family and rising above the negativity surrounding him.

Khalid’s Ex Who Outed Singer Apologizes Then Deletes Tweet

Screen Shot 2024 12 02 at 12.04.42 PM

Some call this a mea culpa. We’ll let you be the judge … Khalid’s ex-boyfriend, Hugo D. Almonte, found himself in hot water last week after outing the singer in a now-deleted post. On Friday (Nov. 29), Almonte issued a public apology and explanation, also deleted, admitting his actions were wrong.

“I’ve been reflecting deeply on everything that’s happened, and it’s time I speak up,” Almonte wrote. “I’ve seen the comments, the backlash, and the disappointment. I understand why people are upset, and I take full responsibility for my actions. I made a mistake—a serious one. I outed someone, and that was wrong. No matter the circumstances, it wasn’t my place to reveal something so personal. For that, I am truly sorry.”

Too little, too late? What ya’ll think?

Get this, in his statement, Almonte explained that he acted out of frustration, claiming that “years of emotional abuse, manipulation, and relentless lies” from Khalid had deeply affected his mental health. He described meeting Khalid at a party in Los Angeles through a mutual friend and alleged that two months later, Khalid initiated contact. Almonte accused the singer of “lovebombing” and spreading falsehoods about him over the years, which he claimed led to his decision to out Khalid.

Anyway, fans weren’t buying his apology. One Twitter user wrote, “This isn’t an apology, this is you trying to justify being a bad person and also trying to drag him here and there in the process. Nobody knew about any of this before you made it a thing. If this was serious you could have just gone the legal route.”

Another user added, “Nobody knew about these ‘rumours’ you speaking of. You tried to use this as a way to further your non-existent music career and it backfired on you BAD now you backtracking and tryna play victim. Your apology isn’t genuine, you’re just a loser.”

Khalid addressed the situation after being outed, sharing that his ex’s accusations were “triggering,” but did not elaborate further.
