Did Kanye West And Ty Dolla Sign’s ‘Vultures’ Album Get Delayed?

There’s been a flurry of activity surrounding Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign in recent days, as the pair are gearing up to release Vultures, a new collaborative album. As of now, the project is set to be released this week, on December 15. However, some believe the project might get delayed.

Did Kanye West And Ty Dolla Sign’s ‘Vultures’ Album Get Delayed?

Some have noticed that Vultures used to have a page on Apple Music (previously viewable here), but now, it no longer does; The page currently comes up in Google search results, but leads to an error page when you click on the link. Some have interpreted this to mean that the album will be not released on schedule and pushed back.

That said, neither West nor Ty have publicly said anything about delaying the album. Furthermore, West fans know that he often makes last-minute changes to his albums (even continuing to tweak after the project has been released already), so the missing Apple Music listing could perhaps be a symptom of something related to that.

Whatever the case may be, West and Ty are planning a listening event for the album in Las Vegas tonight (December 14), and here’s how to watch that.

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s joint album Vultures inches closer to release but in true Kanye West fashion, they’ll be once again playing the album at a live event (which they choose to somewhat inaccurately call a “rave”) after first previewing the album in Miami. This time, they’re headed to Las Vegas — which makes a certain kind of sense, when you consider that venues in traditional media centers like LA and New York probably wouldn’t want Kanye running around dressed as a Klansman or suddenly spouting antisemitic conspiracy theories during the show (things he is unfortunately prone to doing).

If you’re not in Vegas and you just really want to see what Ye and Ty have in store for their album (which is already drawing both controversy for uncleared samples and praise for verses from Nicki Minaj and Kanye’s daughter North West), it looks like they’ll be streaming this one, as well. A flyer which has emerged online gives a crytptic trickle of information that fans have interpreted as meaning 11pm — although the other inferences seem… wrong, in hindsight, since no listening event happened last night.

Of course, it’s Kanye, so there could be any number of explanations, up to and including that there was never a listening party planned in the first place, he tried to throw something together at the last minute, and naturally, ran into the complication that venues have to be alerted, insurance and permits have to be secured, and all kinds of people have to get paid. Some folks now believe the listening event will be tonight instead. If it does go down, Yeezy.com appears to be the best bet for streaming it.

When Does Vultures Come Out?

The UK’s Independent relayed that the album is due out this Friday, December 15, citing that West confirmed the date during his Miami rave. If and when Vultures is released, it will mark Ye’s first traditional album release since Donda in August 2021. (Although, I guess it is presumptuous to assume anything about Vultures will be traditionally executed.) He dropped Donda 2 in February 2022, but it was a clunky rollout, to say the least. The 16-song album was only available in its full form via his Stem Player platform.

Freddie Gibbs and Young Thug are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Is Kanye West Going On A World Tour In 2024?

With Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign hosting a listing for their upcoming joint album Vultures, fans have begun speculating about whether or not the album will be accompanied by a tour. Ever since Kanye’s antisemitism scandal, he hasn’t exactly had potential sponsors leaping at the chance to work with him (especially with the contemporary political climate). But that hasn’t stopped a variety of profiles on Twitter (which still says “Twitter” in the URL so shoo with all that “X” talk) from posting screenshots of a purported “merch site” listing concert tickets for a Vultures World Tour.

The site has supposedly been deactivated, but at this point, premature announcements and half-baked ideas are par for the course for Kanye, who gave a quarter-hearted attempt at running for president in 2020, slapped together the last few rus of his YZY Supply fashion line, was apparently a terrible business partner at Adidas, rarely showing up for meetings and playing porn for other attendees if he ever did show up, and announcing a “worldwide listening event” for Vultures, only to scale it down to a “rave” in Miami when he finally realized that no venues at the scale he envisioned want to work with him anymore. Because, again, he’s said some truly wild stuff — like “praising Hitler” wild — in his efforts to be an “edgy” artiste. Welcome to the edge, I guess.

If you’re one of those people who is only too happy to get scammed by Ye — again — in the interest of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy nostalgia, keep an eye out. I’m sure there are still some backyards or skinhead rallies or something he can book.

The Tracklist For Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s Joint Album Has Been Revealed, And Fans Believe Nicki Minaj Will Make An Appearance

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s joint album is progressing quickly. Although their previously announced listening events have been postponed, that hasn’t stopped them from promoting the forthcoming release.

On Friday, December 8, Ty Dolla Sign took to his official Instagram page to share the tracklist of the album’s 18 songs. One of them caught the attention of Nicki Minaj fans: Near the middle of the document, “New Body” was listed, a Minaj collaboration that was originally expected to appear on West’s 2021 album, Donda.

The Barbz were thrilled at the possibility.

Snippets of the unreleased track between the trio gained traction across social media when it became a trending sound on TikTok. Weeks ago, teaser clips from the rumored music video hit social media, which led fans to flood Minaj’s mentions, begging for the entire track.

West and Minaj have collaborated in the past. Their most notable song is the 2010 single “Monster,” which appeared on West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album. According to West’s ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, the collaboration resulted from her relationship with Minaj. Minaj’s bars on the record have been dubbed one of the greatest verses of her career. Even West acknowledges her stellar performance.

Ty Dolla Sign Gives Update on Collab Album with Ye: ‘Coming Real Soon’

Ty Dolla Sign Says His New Single "Motion" is Created to 'Make You Move'

We are in the midst of a new album from Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, as the two eye a joint effort. We are currently in the dark on details, but Ty is letting fans know the project is underway.

During a performance, Ty Dolla revealed that he just came back from Saudi Arabia and the project is on the way.

“I just landed on a flight from Saudi Arabia,” he said. “I’ve been out there recording a part of my album with my brother Ye, and that’s coming real soon.”

On October 1st, Ye hosted a private listening event for his new album inside a recording studio overseas in Italy. Via The Sun, it seems Kanye was being Kanye, stating he “yelled and appeared out-of-sorts” during the preview of his new project.

This is the first we hear of new music since his public anti-semitic comments, which drew much backlash from the Jewish community and beyond. While this would seemingly be an exciting moment to share what’s in the vault, sources say Kanye looked a bit crazy during the playback.

Ty Dolla $ign was in attendance for the festivities, with a possible feature on the new album. The two have previously collaborated multiple times, including on Ty$’s song “Ego Death,” released in 2020.

One thing that did not go unnoticed was the absence of Ye’s wife, Bianca Sensori. The two have been attached to the hip, it seems, being photographed left and right whenever they appear in public.

Regardless, day one Kanye fans can only hope that new music is on the horizon!

Kanye West And Ty Dolla Sign’s Planned ‘Multi-Stadium Listening Event’ Has Reportedly (And Unsurprisingly) Been Postponed

The proposed “multi-stadium listening event” for Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s purported joint album has been postponed. According to Billboard, both the listening event and the album itself have been pushed back from their original date, November 3. Billboard notes that this isn’t the first time they’ve been rescheduled, with the original release aimed at October 27. A report from earlier that month said they were planning on holding it at RCF Arena (formerly known as Campovolo) in Reggio Emilia; however, the date came and went without confirmation, and on October 23, Ty shared an Instagram post teasing the new date in November.

Before that, it was reported that the duo was looking for a distributor for their joint album, fielding five offers from different labels. Per Billboard, though, their grandiose plans are contingent on a lot of factors outside their control. They’d need weeks — not just one or two — to secure a location and insurance, plus enough time to promote the show — at least, much more time than they allotted with the October 23 announcement. Plus, arenas in Europe are currently engaged in football season — no, not the one with helmets and pads — so teams would likely be unwilling to rent out their arenas and risk damage to the fields, even if they were playing away games on the requested dates.

Truthfully, all this is less than surprising and at this point, I’m not sure who Kanye thinks he’s fooling. He doesn’t have an agent — and probably isn’t going to find another one after being dropped by CAA over his prior antisemitic statements — and he probably isn’t anywhere near liquid enough to assume the risk of putting all this on himself — again, because his bank accounts were closed in the wake of the above-mentioned bigotry, while the IRS simultaneously put a hold on him for unpaid taxes. Most importantly, his past erratic behaviors appear to have finally caught up with him, making him more of a liability in the eyes of business partners than a potential cash cow. You can only cry “wolf” so many times before the villagers turn on you, and Kanye’s been shouting wolves, lions, tigers, and bears for the past year. The jig might finally, well, and truly be up.
