2024 has been pretty quiet for Khloe Kardashian so far, at least by Kardashian standards. Earlier this month she hugged it out with Kanye West while they were both in attendance for his son Saint’s basketball game. But with the recent news that her baby daddy Tristan Thompson was suspended for 25 games for violating the NBA’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs, Khloe is back in the public eye. The two share a long history together and two children True and Tatum. Their co-parenting formula was in the subject of quite a bit of public intrigue last year.
Now Khloe is getting some attention of her own, starting with a new photoshoot she shared to Instagram. The pictures feature her sporting just a bikini underneath a big fur coat and hat while standing outside in the snow. “It’s giving mob wife vibes …. faux mob wife of course” she captioned the pictures. There was plenty for fans to discuss between the caption and the concept for the photo shoot alone. “Why everybody wanna be in they drawls in the wilderness?” one of the top comments under a repost of the pictures reads. Others questioned Khloe herself in the picture. “It’s giving ozempic” one comment reads which sparked massive debate in the replies. Other commentors tried to connect Khloe’s newest pictures to the Tristan Thompson situation. “Khloe! Your Baby Daddy is on drugs, Jesus christ!! Not now!!” the most upvoted comment on the post reads. “Hmmmmmmm why everytime Tristan get in trouble she pops out??” another commentor agrees.
Part of Khloe’s recent silence may have something to do with a scandal that took place last year. She was accused of blackfishing after her Bratz doll Halloween costume made the rounds online. Awe-inspiring feats are often achieved in sports, and records are set or broken every other year. However, sometimes, these feats are not always accomplished purely off of skill, dedication, and training. The allure of surpassing limits and standing on the podium of victory has led many an athlete down a perilous path. As a result, many athletes have been suspended or even banned from competing professionally.
When the line between fair play and unethical enhancement became blurred, these individuals ultimately forsook the sportsman’s integrity. Throughout the history of elite sports, many athletes have unfortunately given up on boosting their natural state. One of the most famous athletes in the history of the sport, track and field star Marion Jones specialized in the 100-meter, 200-meter, and long jump events. She represented the US in several international competitions and is a three-time 100-meter world champion. Additionally, at the 2000 Summer Olympics, Jones won three gold medals and two bronze medals. However, in what is now regarded as one of the biggest cases of drug violation in athletics (the BALCO scandal), it was revealed that she used steroids. Following her confession in 2007, she was stripped of her Olympic medals. She was also stripped of every other medal, point, or result she received after September 1, 2000.

Wilson Chandler declared for the NBA draft in 2007 and was subsequently selected by the New York Knicks. Afterward, he played with the Knicks until 2011 when he joined the Denver Nuggets. Since then, he has also played with the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and Los Angeles Clippers. However, in 2020, he received a 25-game suspension from the NBA. After testing positive for Ipamorelin, Chandler is now among the list of athletes who have used performance-enhancing drugs.

Former triple jumper Kenta Bell is known for his achievements in track and field. From the early 2000s, he was winning medals, frequently finishing within the top three at events. In 2003 and 2004, Bell finished in third place at the IAAF World Athletics Finals. Additionally, he represented the US at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, as well as in the 2003 and 2005 World Championships. Bell was having a good run and was recognized as a rising star in the triple jump.
However, that was first tampered with in 2007 when he received a three-month doping ban after testing positive for methylprednisolone. After his ban elapsed, Bell managed to qualify for the 2008 Olympics, representing the US a second time. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it past the qualifying stage. Almost a decade later, on November 7, 2017, he received a lifetime ban from USADA for engaging in and orchestrating prohibited doping conduct.
Gwen Berry (Hammer Throw)

World Record-holder and three-time national champion, Gwen Berry is a superstar in the sport of hammer throw. Unfortunately, the 34-year-old is also one of many athletes who have indulged in performance-enhancing drugs. Throughout her career, she has achieved many impressive feats, wining multiple Gold medals, and representing the US at the Olympics. However, at this time, Berry has received two doping violation suspensions. The first was issued in 2016 when she tested positive for vilanterol trifenatate, and lasted for three months. Subsequently, in 2023, she was issued a 16-month suspension after she tested positive for a banned substance.
Damu Cherry (Hurdling)

While she is now retired, Damu Cherry specialized in the 100-meter hurdles when she competed. During her hurdling career, Cherry achieved success. At the 2006 World Athletics Final, she came in second place. Additionally, although she didn’t earn a medal at the 2006 World Indoor Championships, she came close,placing sixth. Subsequently, Cherry qualified for the 2008 Olympic team, and almost took home a medal. Unfortunately, she finished in fourth place at the 100-meter hurdles final. Before these notable successes, the athlete received a two-year suspension in 2003. She tested positive for Norandrosterone, was issued a suspension, and made a strong comeback in 2006.

Nigerian-American athlete Mary Akor Basley started running long distances at a young age. In 1989, at the age of 13, she ran her first marathon. Afterward, at 15, she managed to qualify for the 1992 Olympics but wasn’t sent by the Nigerian Olympic Committee. However, that didn’t cut her athletic dreams short as she grew up to become a prominent long-distance runner. After moving to the US, Basley improved and eventually got into her stride as she got older. She competed in many races, and was ranked the sixth fastest US woman marathoner in 2007. Unfortunately, in 2012, Basley received a two-year ban for using performance-enhancing drugs when she tested positive for Clenbuterol.
Tristan Thompson got real on the latest episode of The Kardashians, discussing how he fears his past might lead his kids to be embarrassed to have him as a dad. “True’s understanding stuff. Prince understands things. They go to school and they have classmates. The last thing I want them to do is ever feel embarrassed that I’m their father,” Thompson told Khloé Kardashian, who is the mother of two of his children. It appears that a lot of Thompson’s fear stems from his long history of infidelity, as well as the fact that he has four children with three women.
However, Kardashian had some pearls of wisdom for her suffering ex. “Just remember, you’re not your past. Your past doesn’t define you. Moving forward, hold yourself in a way that you will be proud of. Or if your kids read something about you, you’re going to be proud of that. Your legacy, what you want to leave behind, is way greater than what the world has been exposed to,” she told Thompson. While Kardashian and Thompson are no longer together, they did welcome a second child via surrogate last year.

However, Khloé isn’t the only one being blindsided in the Kardashian family. In the same episode of The Kardashians, Kim and Kourtney’s discontentment over Kim’s conduct at Kourtney’s wedding finally boiled over. During a phone argument, Kim revealed that Kourtney’s friends often call Kim and other family members to complain about her behavior and attitude. She went as far as to say there is even a group chat simply named “Not Kourtney”. Meanwhile, Kourtney hit back with claims that Kim was an “egotistical, selfish, fucking witch” and that she “didn’t need you [the family].” While Kim tried to deflect the blame as much as she could, Kourtney really sunk her claws in. “You are a narcissist,” she told her sister. “Anything you do, it’s about you and about how it looks to the world about you.”
However, Kourtney later called cap on the claims on Instagram. According to Kourtney, the group purely consists of the Kardashian-Jenner siblings other than Kourtney and does not include any of her friends. “No. The members of that chat are namely Kim, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie. Case closed,” Kourtney told a follower who asked whether the friends she had just posted a picture of where part of the group chat.
Tristan Thompson has filed a legal request to become the guardian of his 17-year-old brother, Amari. The move comes after their mother, Andrea, died suddenly in January. Thompson has informally cared for his brother even since, even briefly living with him in the home of Khloé Kardashian. Amari is unable to care for himself due to several severe medical conditions. Furthermore, Tristan would also safeguard the $103,000 inheritance that Amari received from their mother.
Thompson’s responsibilities would involve general day-to-day care of his brother, including attending to his medical needs. This means that Thompson’s NBA career is all but over as he officially pivots towards full-time care work. While Thompson was at the tail-end of his career anyway, he did join the Lakers for their 2023 playoff run. The timeline of formalizing Thompson as Amari’s guardian is unclear.

Dishawn gained some notoriety during the death of their mother as he appeared to take shots at Khloé Kardashian. People immediately took this as a jab at Kardashian for exploiting their mother’s death. After this supposed beef emerged, Dishawn has taken to Instagram to clarify his comments.
“Y’all chill out that wasn’t towards Khloe or her family,” Dishawn began his response. “Khloe has been a real one toward myself and my bros from day1. I wouldn’t try to bash a female down ever and especially on social media. Please don’t speak for me #BigCoach.” If one had to guess, it’s likely that Dishawn was actually defending Kardashian in response to the social media speculation. His comments were like a reaction to what other people were saying about Kardashian after the storyline was made public in the episode.
