Tan DaGod Bragged About Killing Alleged Abusive Ex Before Death

Up and coming Oakland rapper Tan DaGod was shot outside of a beauty supply store on the evening of July 15. Glamor Beauty Supply celebrated its grand opening, and she agreed to attend the event. Tragically, a gunman arrived, and after a brief altercation, he fired shots. Soon after, she died at the hospital, aged 27. The police are searching for the gunman, who ran off after shooting Tan, real name Alliauna Green.

Green’s shooting may have been retaliatory, though nothing is clear yet. In an interview with Off The Porch, she bragged about killing her ex, whom she described as abusive. She had a custom headstone made that had the beginning and end dates of their relationship. She also mentioned that it was the same day she had to go to court. Additionally, the headstone included lyrics to her song “Ex Wood Pack.” “Ex Wood Pack” is a diss towards her ex that she promoted in her interview. The track has inflammatory lyrics and equally inflammatory cover art. “Oh well, they’re not gonna do sh*t” about it,” she said in the clip.

The rapper’s family denies that “Ex Wood Pack,” a track that implies she killed her ex-boyfriend, was a song with any truth in it. They referred to it as a “diss track for clout.” Ernest Holloway was a friend of Green’s who spoke with Fox affiliate KTVU shortly after her death. He said that rumors floating around online about a possible motive are incorrect. He emphasized that Green was a caring individual who looked out for the community. The owners of Glamor Beauty Supply invited Green to the store’s grand opening because she was known as a supporter of Black-owned businesses in the area.

Mistah F.A.B. a prominent Oakland rapper and activist, said she was like a little sister to him. He posted on Instagram that he will “always remember her as a hustling go-getter with a world of ambition, drive and courage and a heart big as Texas!!!” Oakland residents placed flowers outside of Glamor Beauty Supply in memoriam.

Casino Jizzle Shot & Killed; Hip-Hop Artist Dead At 27

When it comes to the Tennessee rap game, there was one new up-and-comer that was primed to make waves. Sadly, the artist known as Casino Jizzle will never get his chance to make it big. The hip-hop singer, born Robert Tunstall, was shot and killed in northeast Memphis on the Fourth of July. Casino Jizzle was pronounced dead at the scene and was 27 years old. His manager confirmed this on Tuesday. This occurred just days before Jizzle’s July 7th album drop. DUH is his debut album, and he was getting ready to become a big deal in hip-hop.

Casino Jizzle had the numbers to gain some serious traction. With 10 million Apple Music streams and 46 million YouTube views, the man was ready to make a splash in the rap game. Unfortunately, he passed away at the same deadly age as other famous musical artists. (Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, and Amy Winehouse are a few members of the “27 Club.”)

The Aftermath of Casino Jizzle’s Shooting

The mother of Casino Jizzle’s child, Brianna Hollins, took to Facebook to showcase her grief. “I’m LOSTED WITHOUT U SWEAR TO GOD,” she writes, clearly devastated to lose a man she loved way too soon. She shared pictures of them hanging out in Nevada on what looks like a vacation from 2022. Jizzle had dealt with gun violence in the past. Back in 2019, he was in critical condition following a shooting in front of a Tennessee Chuck E. Cheese.

As for who pulled the trigger in this fatal incident, Memphis police are not yet sure of an official identity. However, there is a warrant out for 27-year-old Michael Clayton for murder in the first degree (according to WREG, the local CBS affiliate). Casino Jizzle’s most popular song on Spotify, “Message,” has almost 330k listens. So far as we know, his debut album DUH is still releasing tomorrow, albeit to somber circumstances. The HotNewHipHop family offers condolences to the family and friends left behind. Rest In Peace, Casino Jizzle.

Robert De Niro’s Grandson Has Passed Away At 19

Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, grandson of the great Robert De Niro, has died, according to a TMZ report. He was 19 years old. His mother, Drena De Niro, confirmed his passing on her Instagram on Sunday night. “My beautiful sweet angel,” she said in her post, “I don’t know how to live without you, but I’ll try to go on and spread the love and light that you so made me feel in getting to be your mama. You were so deeply loved and appreciated, and I wish that love alone could have saved you.”

Law enforcement told TMZ reporters Rodriguez was in his NYC apartment Sunday afternoon. He was sitting in a chair, not responding. A friend found him after a few days of zero contact from Rodriguez. The most recent update from law enforcement is that they are investigating this as a possible drug overdose. They discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia alongside the body.

“I’m deeply distressed by the passing of my beloved grandson Leo,” De Niro said on Monday. “We’re greatly appreciative of the condolences from everyone. We ask that we please be given privacy to grieve our loss of Leo.” The 79-year-old actor was most recently filming in January of this year for The Wise Guys. However, he is at the moment not filming anything, giving him proper time and space to grieve this tragic situation. De Niro also let slip in May that he’d welcomed his seventh child into the world, which, at 79, makes for an interesting challenge.

As for Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, his acting career was just beginning at the time of his passing. He starred in A Star Is Born and Cabaret Maxime, both in 2018. He played the son of Bradley Cooper’s character’s best friend in A Star Is Born. Dave Chappelle played his father in the movie. At just 19 years old, Rodriguez’s death is devastating for the De Niro family.
