Yung Joc Pledged To Shave Head If Tory Lanez Found Guilty

Tory Lanez’s guilty verdict spread all over social media for the last couple of hours, with reactions and comments galore. However, some of those came from Internet sleuths who, for whatever reason, can’t let someone live a bet down. Clips resurfaced of an interview between DJ Vlad and Yung Joc, where the 40-year-old rapper said he’d shave his head if Tory was guilty. Well, the time has come, and many went back to the interview to show Joc those receipts.

Despite jokes around the foretold shave, the Atlanta MC will go through with it. In the Shade Room post that contained the interview clip in question, DJ Vlad commented with that confirmation. “Just confirmed he’s going to shave his head,” he wrote in the comments.

“If Tory is found guilty,” Joc said, “I’ll shave my head. I’ll shave my whole head bald.”

“Are you serious?” the media host inquired, to which Joc responded with a decisive “Yes.”

Interestingly enough, this isn’t Yung Joc’s first strange encounter with a new hairstyle. Moreover, he got a spray-on beard and people clowned him for it last year. Still, that time around, he took it quite well, using Boosie’s famous line of “Put your face on Live for $1,000.” However, back in 2019, he had some crazier things going on. The TV personality shaved a 3D portrait of Tupac Shakur on his head, which got stranger but less mocking responses.

However, this time, people bombarded him with requests, comments, dares, and more and more people online asking him about the bet. Joc is having fun with it, though, as he’s posted a few funny memes and references to the shave on his IG story. Some are reposts of other people, others are the clips of his bet themselves, and a few are just random memes he made or liked. Even if the bet didn’t go his way, at least he’s making light of his controversial support.

Tory Lanez Guilty Verdict Breaks The Internet As Celebs React

After news spread of Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion’s court case, people reacted with shock, satisfaction, and everything in between. Moreover, the court found Lanez guilty of assault, gross negligence, and carrying an unregistered firearm in a vehicle. Afterwards, Tory Lanez’s guilty verdict lit a fire on social media, prompting reactions on all corners of Twitter.

Meanwhile, one of the most notable celebrity responses came thanks to Iggy Azalea. After fans attacked her online, since Tory was meant to executive produce her new album, she set the record straight. Moreover, she responded to a user who pointed out the hypothetical nature of that criticism.

“Thank you,” the “Fancy” rapper wrote. “This is all I ask. Now isn’t the time to talk about a hypothetical album I’m yet to create or who will E.P it. Give me a min, y’all can fell however you want about whoever you want – that’s all good. But this isn’t the forum to discuss it. Happy holidays.”

However, others like Carl Crawford criticized Tory’s incarceration just a couple of days before Christmas. Additionally, he said that every Black man likely has the same reaction to Lanez getting a maximum of 22 years in jail.

“That’s cold-blooded…” the 1501 CEO said. “Two days before Christmas… 20 plus years… now, if a Black man don’t feel that, that’s cold.”

Many have also brought up the following tweet from the Canadian rapper in light of his verdict.

“I’m going to leave this here one more time… and watch how it ages… NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER… AND EVERY TONGUE THAT RISES AGAINST ME IN JUDGEMENT SHALL BE CONDEMNED u sit and watch now… And don’t ever question the GOD I serve again. This is my last tweet,” he said back on December 7th.

Furthermore, many other celebrities reacted including Melii, Baby Tate, Jonathan Wright, Anthony Fantano, Lil Ju, and more. Still, reactions have been relatively mixed, with some outraged at the verdict. However, it seems many are grateful for justice for Meg.

Joe Budden Reacts To EJ King’s Trial Recap

Apart from all of the pleas leading up to the YSL Rico trial in Atlanta in January, the Tory Lanez trial in Los Angeles has been one of the most-talked legal battles in Hip-Hop this month. Megan Thee Stallion, Kelsey Harris, and plenty of other witnesses have taken the stand so far. Megan’s former bodyguard, Justin Edison, has still yet to testify, but earlier this week, EJ King took the stand.

EJ King was Megan Thee Stallion’s stylist around the time of the shooting, and he attended Kylie Jenner’s party on July 12, 2020. In his testimony, he said Megan was “past the faded point,” so he had urged her to leave the party. When questioned if Megan or Kelsey had a firearm in their possession that night, EJ King replied, “Possibly… but it’s not my business.”

Following EJ King’s testimony in court on Monday (Dec. 19), he hit Instagram to share photos of his outfit. As reporters previously described, King sported long, wavy hair and a bright pink blazer during his court appearance. King also shared video clips of him talking to the press and walking away from the courthouse. In fact, King took his IG dump a step further by soundtracking the video clips with the theme music from Law & Order.

“My day in court was exhausting but it’s over and done with!!!” EJ King wrote in his Instagram post. “Speak your truth and leave it there.”

Naturally, several people found King’s Law & Order clips hilarious, which led fans and celebrities alike to react to his post. Supermodel Winnie Harlow, actress Jessie Woo, Joie Chavis, and plenty of others roasted King for using the Law & Order music.

Surprisingly, Joe Budden also joined in on the fun. Budden recently admitted to not liking Megan Thee Stallion, but his reaction to King’s post appeared to be more focused on his video-editing antics than his actual testimony in court.

“Fam,” he wrote in EJ King’s comments with a flurry of crying laughing emojis. See Joe Budden’s reaction, as well as more celebrity reactions, below.
