It’s officially scary hours in Boston as the Golden State Warriors relied on Andrew Wiggins, who stepped up for an ice-cold Stephen Curry and win Game 5. The Warriors will return to Boston for a Game 6 against the Celtics, which can clinch their fourth championship in eight years.
In the 104-94 victory, Wiggins scored 26 points and added 13 rebounds, two steals, and two assists. Although Wiggins led the team, the win placed the trio of Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson in rare air as they have the most Finals game wins of any trio in decades.
After the game, Green reflected on the trade that landed Wiggins, noting fans and analysts looked at Wiggins as just a “piece.”
“A lot of people looked at that trade like, oh, that’s another piece they can move,” Green said to ESPN. “We looked at the trade from the very beginning like that is a guy who can fit next to a healthy group absolutely well. … He’s continued to show that. He’s continued to get better. He’s taken on every challenge that we have thrown in front of him. And that’s been huge. And we need him to do that for one more win.”
Wiggins, coming over after being a key in the Minnesota Timberwolves, spoke about the adjustment and stated he loves the winning culture.
“They have won before, and they have dominated the NBA,” Wiggins said. “When I got here, they put you in position to succeed. They always bring out the best in you. They want the best for you. You know, supportive.”
Game 6 of the NBA Finals will be this Thursday at 9 EST.
A heroic game four performance from Stephen Curry is why the NBA Finals is now tied 2-2. The Dubs won 107-97 last night in the TD Garden. In game 4, Curry dominated. He dropped 43 points and grabbed ten rebounds, including seven 3-pointers.
Fourth-three points is the third-highest scoring total in the postseason and the second-most points scored in the NBA Finals for the two-time league MVP. This game comes just one after Curry seemingly injured his foot in the game three loss.
“The heart on that man is incredible,” Warriors guard Klay Thompson said. “The things he does, we kind of take for granted at times, to go out there and put us on his back. We’ve got to help him out on Monday.”
At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Warriors went on a 10-0 run, erasing a four-point Boston lead into a 100-94 Golden State advantage.
His splash brother Klay Thompson pitched in with 18 points with four 3-pointers, and Andrew Wiggins added 17 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.
The Warriors have won at least one road game for an NBA-record 27 consecutive playoff series since 2013. They will host Game 5 on Monday night, with Game 6 in Boston on Thursday; Golden State would hold the home-court advantage in a seventh game, if necessary.
For Boston, three different players scored at least 20 points. Jayson Tatum led the way with 23, and Robert Williams and Jaylen Brown scored 21 a piece.
During the NBA Finals Game 4 tunnel walk, MVP Stephen Curry and his purpose-driven firm, SC30 Inc., introduced surprise gear that would be available only to Curry’s 2974 Collection NFT holders. This project also connects collection holders with Curry through unique and one-of-a-kind experiences.
This special gear was inspired by some of Curry’s most valued assets – his tattoos – with the support of his 2974 Discord channel. Curry’s wrist tattoos, in particular, tell a tale about his desire to improve in basketball and in life, which is represented in the hoodie and cap artwork.
On Monday, June 13th at 11:59 p.m. EST, the 2974 Collection will take a snapshot to lock in all holders at that moment. On June 15, these holders will have access to a password-protected retail store on FTX US’s NFT platform, which will close ten days later on June 24.
Customers must deposit their 2974 Collection NFTs in an FTX digital wallet and will receive personalized codes prior to the store opening. Holders in New York will be alerted via the 2974 Collection NFT Discord channel of precise instructions. Collection holders with numerous NFTs will also receive merch discounts based on the amount of NFTs they own. Customers will be able to purchase the hoodie and cap pair with distinctive packaging and a personalized greeting from Curry himself when the store opens.
Curry released a surprise NFT collection in December 2021 to commemorate breaking the all-time NBA three-point record during a game between the Golden State Warriors and the New York Knicks. Curry’s NFT was released in a limited edition of 2,974 to commemorate the record-breaking number of three-pointers he made in his career, with 100% of Curry’s profits going to Eat. Learn. Play., Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Oakland-based non-profit that benefits community members throughout the Bay Area. Since then, the 2974 Collection NFT has generated over $4.4 million in trading volume on the FTX.US NFT platform, given away over 100 pieces of NFT memorabilia, and is gearing up for an IRL birthday celebration with holders this summer.
After exploding in the third quarter of Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Steph Curry had a scary fourth quarter. While attempting to secure a loose ball, Boston Celtics big man Al Horford landed on Curry’s leg, leaving the superstar guard screaming in pain.
The injury was similar to the one he sustained in the same building in the regular season when Marcus Smart dived for a ball in the regular season. The difference between the two, the Smart-involved injury sidelined Curry for a while. The Horford-related injury will not keep Curry out of the next game.
“[I got] about 10½ hours of sleep, a couple dunks in the ice bucket and that’s about it for now,” Curry said to ESPN. “Then take advantage of today and tomorrow to get completely ready for the game. Get as much recovery and healing as possible and understand how important Game 4 is. I’m excited about the opportunity.”
Curry stated the previous injury let him and the Golden State Warriors coaching staff knows how to plan for this recovery.
“Because I went through what I went through in the regular season and coming back, I know exactly what it is and what I’ve got to deal with and the soreness, pain level and all that,” Curry said. “So once I got checked out last night, I knew I wouldn’t have to go get any extra tests just because we’ve been through this before.”
The Warriors will need every member of their roster heading into Game 4 to avoid a 3-1 hole and the possibility of losing the NBA Finals in their home building for Game 5.
Game 4 tips off Friday night (June 10) at 8 p.m. on ABC.
E-40 was in Chase Center when the Boston Celtics went up 1-0 in the NBA Finals. Was he worried? No! He still told TMZ the Dubs would take home the series in 6 games.
“This gonna be a good series, but I got us in 6. And if it goes 7, we’ll win,” 40 said. “We had them. 4th quarter come, them boys would not stop hitting 3s.”
He added another reason to his Warriors’ support, “As long as they shooting like that throughout the whole series we gonna be straight. That was very rare. They was hitting and we was bricking.”
The Warriors would pop out in Game 2 and run the Celtics out of the building. In the early parts of the fourth quarter, the Warriors were up 29 points.
The Warriors would win 107-88 after a dominant 35-14 third quarter and Stephen Curry scored 29 points.
It’s just something about when the state of California aligns. Reddit user unanimous30 noticed an interesting trend. Whenever Kendrick Lamar drops an album, the Golden State Warriors win another ring.
When Lamar dropped To Pimp a Butterfly, Stephen Curry and his warriors won their first ring in 2015. In 2017, Lamar dropped DAMN. and the Warriors won again. In 2018, when King Kendrick and TDE were in control fo the Black Panther soundtrack, the Warriors added another banner. Now with Mr. Mroale & The Big Steppers out, the Warriors have made their way back to the Finals, will the trend continue?
The Western Conference Finals are over as the Golden State Warriors beat the Dallas Mavericks 120-110. The Warriors were up as many as 25 points and didn’t trail during a game in the series.
“Tonight was different because we’ve done it before,” Kerr said. “But in a different way, it was incredibly meaningful given everything that we’ve been through organizationally over the last couple of years.”
Stephen Curry won the Western Conference Finals MVP award. The first to be honored with the trophy.
“It was more just a message for us,” Curry said to ESPN. “It wasn’t for anybody else. It was a message for us to stay locked on the opportunity that was coming our way because we had built such a good momentum finishing the years, reestablishing what Warriors basketball was.”
King Kendrick is back on top of the Billboard charts. Kendrick Lamar’s new album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, has landed on top of the Billboard 200 with 295,000 equivalent album units sold in the first week.
According to Billboard, this is the third week in a row that the previous opening week’s debut has been surpassed. Un Verano Sin Ti by Bad Bunny did the task with a No. 1 debut of 274,000, whereas Future’s I Never Liked You debuted at No. 1 with 222,000 the week before.

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is the inaugural winner of the Magic Johnson Western Conference finals MVP award. Curry was acknowledged for his stellar series efforts after the Warriors eliminated the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 on Thursday night.
“The new trophy is pretty cool,” said Curry to ESPN. “Especially with who it’s named after, the standard that Magic set in terms of being a champion and playing the point guard position, whatever other position he played. Just the excellence that he demonstrated throughout his entire career.”
In game 5, Curry finished with 15 points and nine assists, providing plenty of support to Klay Thompson, who exploded to seal the series for the Warriors. In the WCF, Curry averaged 23.8 points, 7.4 assists, and 6.6 rebounds.
“Everything revolves around him,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said. “We got a lot of great players around him and guys who fit well together. It all starts with Steph. He just creates so much havoc for the defense, that even on a night like tonight where he doesn’t shoot the ball that well, he forces rotations and frees up other players.”
The Warriors now await the winner of the Boston Celtics and Miami HEAT.
Season three of Stephen Curry’s UNDERRATED Tour Powered by Rakuten makes its final stop at Oakland’s Soldiertown indoor basketball court on April 1-3. The three-day, invite-only event is the culmination of a nationwide search for underrepresented and overlooked high school basketball talent, bringing together tour finalists to compete in tournament-style games where one boy and one girl will be crowned the country’s most UNDERRATED athlete representing their region. Student-athletes participate in tournament-style games and receive specialized training, bespoke experiences, and best-in-class resources such as exercises, off-court education, personal skills development, expert panels, and more during the UNDERRATED Tour Championship Stop.
“I created the UNDERRATED brand to inspire anyone who feels overlooked in their craft, to keep pushing,” said Stephen Curry to exclusively to The SOURCE. “I am committed to providing opportunities for players who find themselves in the very same position I was a few years ago. Before my college and NBA days, I was labeled by many in the industry as a 3-star athlete. The UNDERRATED Championships Tournament is for all the athletes out there who can relate to being put in a box and playing in the shadows on the court. For me, it is inspiring to watch these players who love to hoop, just like I did at their age, compete in Oakland and have the opportunity to break the stereotypes of the sport.”
The UNDERRATED Tour gives young athletes a significant platform to be seen by college recruiters, sports agents, and other critical industry experts. This exposure allows three-star high school players who are generally overlooked a better chance to develop into college-level scholarship athletes and embody the UNDERRATED mindset.
The UNDERRATED Tour visited four cities in the summer of 2021 (Washington, D.C., Dallas, Chicago, and Los Angeles), where 75 boys and girls were allowed to study and break through the noise. For the Championship, the top 64 competitors (16 from each location) were flown to the Bay Area.
Of those young athletes is Jacobi Sebock, a resident of Oklahoma who has overcome numerous health issues that displaced him from the basketball court. Jacobi was born without sweat glands and had severe asthma, a grade one heart blockage, and Crohn’s disease. Jacobi overcame those hurdles, securing playing time on his AAU team and exhibiting his skills. Kudos to his coach, who decided Jacobi’s issues should not hinder what he can do on the court. Jacobi will now compete at the UNDERRATED Championship.
An additional story includes Tiana, who moved past verbally abusive coaches and staff at her high school that often belittled her on-court performance. The criticism led Tiana to transfer to Victory Christian Academy, despite leading every statistical category. Tiana exhibited selflessness as she missed out on recruiting opportunities. Ineligible to play her senior year, Tiana played as a scout player and kept her teammates ready for the forthcoming season.
Rakuten introduced two $20,000 scholarships to the program this year for Championship-bound athletes, which can be put toward any college, institution, or trade school. Players can submit essays outlining their underappreciated narrative and its impact on their lives, which will be judged by a jury of sports and industry experts. Scholarships will be awarded to two lucky candidates, one boy, and one girl, who will be announced at the UNDERRATED Tour Championship Stop in Oakland.
“We are inspired by the optimism and spirit of The UNDERRATED Tour athletes, and we are incredibly proud to partner with Stephen Curry on this program,” said Amit Patel, CEO of Rakuten Americas and Rakuten Rewards. “We are honored to support a program that aims to empower underrated and underrepresented communities. Congratulations to all the athletes competing at this year’s Championship Stop.”
The UNDERRATED Tour is the culmination of Stephen’s inspirational journey to the top. He defies the odds and shatters basketball stereotypes by reminding people that being the best is about being grounded in your potential, committed to your trade, and, ultimately, undeterred. The objective of helping undervalued and underrepresented people around the world remains unwavering.
