Ime Udoka Reportedly Made “Crude” Remarks About Celtics Subordinate

Ime Udoka was suspended for one full year by the Boston Celtics last week as it was revealed that he had a sexual relationship with a subordinate who worked for the team. This is completely against the rules of the organization, even if the relationship was consensual. It’s a story that has left the Celtics in disarray and it has also led to speculation that perhaps Udoka did something much worse.

On top of all of this, Udoka has been ridiculed online as he ultimately cheated on Nia Long. Long is beloved by fans, and the fact that Udoka ruined his marriage is a huge topic of conversation right now.

Now, a new report from Adrian Wojnarowski is claiming that things aren’t looking so good for Udoka right now. An independent law firm investigating Udoka reportedly found evidence that he used “crude” language toward the woman that he ended up having a relationship with.

This largely impacted the length of his suspension, and Woj is writing that Udoka might not be able to find a place with the team next year, all things considered.

This is yet another vague update on this story that doesn’t provide a full picture of events. While that might be on the way, this is still a frustrating time for Celtics fans, who just want answers.

Kevin Durant Is Sick Of Talking About His Trade Request

Kevin Durant’s trade request from the offseason was a complete and utter failure. He tried to big-time the Nets and it did not work the way he thought it would. The team reminded him that he is under contract for four more years, and it ultimately made him rescind his request. Now, KD is in for a difficult season in Brooklyn, where he will have to get this team back to the top of the East standings.

Durant is trying to leave this trade request behind him, however, the media isn’t letting him do that. In fact, earlier today, Nick Friedell of ESPN asked KD if there were any inaccuracies surrounding the reporting of his trade request. That’s when KD clapped back at the media, saying that it’s time to let it go.

“Can we move on past that at some point? I know it’s an interesting story,” Durant said. “I know that it took up most of the offseason and drama sells, I get that, but I didn’t miss any games, I didn’t miss any practices, I’m still here. There’s a lot of sh** that was inaccurate but it’s like I don’t want to go through it right now. We don’t got that much time right now.”

The Nets have been soaked in drama over the last couple of years, so it makes sense that KD would want to move past it. With that being said, he still wanted to get his GM and coach fired, which is something that needs to be answered for.

Rachel Nichols Gets New NBA Media Gig

Rachel Nichols found herself in the midst of a huge controversy at ESPN last year. The long-time NBA journalist ended up losing her job after recordings of her leaked online. In these recordings, Nichols could be heard criticizing Maria Taylor, with Nichols referring to her as a diversity hire of sorts.

Following this leak, Nichols was removed from her post on NBA Countdown, and The Jump was ultimately canceled in favor of NBA Today which is now hosted by Malika Andrews. Needless to say, it was a horrible time for Nichols’ career as she was left without a role in the dog-eat-dog world of NBA media.

Now, however, it is being reported that Nichols will be back on TV in the not-so-distant future. She is going to be added to the team over at Showtime Sports, where she will get to create monthly basketball programming. It remains to be seen what her exact role will be over there, although it is certainly going to be huge given the fact that she has a wealth of experience from working with ESPN.

This is a hiring that could be polarizing as some are still mad at Nichols for her comments about Andrews. Either way, Showtime Sports is expanding, and they believe this hire gives them the best chance to compete in the NBA landscape.

Post Malone Demanded An NBA Contract While Beating Marcus Smart At Beer Pong Backstage In Boston

On September 23, Post Malone took to Boston’s TD Garden, where the NBA’s Celtics play their home games, for a concert. He also paid tribute to the city by wearing a jersey of Celtics guard Marcus Smart, the reigning NBA Defensive Player Of The Year. It turns out the two Dallas natives got to enjoy some time together backstage and Smart spoke about a fun moment they shared.

During an interview with NBC Sports Boston at the Celtics’ media day on September 26, Smart was asked if he got to play Malone at beer pong and he said, “Yeah, I played him. I won one game, but I went five in a row the last game! […] He’s really good. He kept telling me to call [Celtics President Of Basketball Operations] Brad [Stevens] for him, though. Every shot he made, he was like, ‘Call Brad, sign me up, give me the 10-day [contract]!’”

After the concert, Smart shared photos of himself and Malone backstage and wrote on Instagram, “That was a [fire] show @postmalone thanks for the love Friday night. Fans were crazy live. Felt their love as well. Place was crazy. Boston fans never fail.”

Malone’s second Boston concert of the tour, set for September 24, was postponed as Malone noted, “I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.” This came not long after he fell in an on-stage hole and injured his ribs.

Myles Garrett Breaks His Silence Following Car Crash

Myles Garrett got into an incredibly scary car crash earlier this week as he was driving home from Browns practice. Garrett was driving his Porsche with a passenger when he eventually flipped multiple times. He and the passenger were able to escape with just minor injuries and now, Garrett is looking to play on Sunday.

On Friday, Garrett got to speak to reporters for the first time since the incident, and for the most part, he appeared to be in good spirits. Garrett reiterated his intentions to play although he was told that he will be a game-time decision as he still has some lingering issues from the crash.

“Grateful that, not only that I’m alive, but I was able to have so much of my family and the support system that was around me,” Garrett said to the reporters.

Getting into a car crash can be scary for anyone, and there is no doubt that Garrett is thankful to be okay right now. Hopefully, he is able to get back on the field healthy, and in proper shape to play.

LeBron James Roasted After Co-Signing Tory Lanez Album

Tory Lanez came through with a 20-track new album for his fans on Friday, called Sorry 4 What. The album has been getting praise from his supporters on social media, although there are plenty of people swearing off the album due to his ongoing shooting case against Megan Thee Stallion.

One person who is looking past that and enjoying the music is none other than LeBron James. LeBron has always been an avid rap listener, and on Friday, he replied to CuffsTheLegend on Twitter with some praise for the album. As you can see, he wrote “He never misses. That boy talented as hell man! Bangers for days!!”

Twitter was not happy with LeBron’s response, as they felt like it was a betrayal of some of the things he has said in the past regarding the need to protect black women. While Tory’s case against Meg has yet to be settled or resolved, there are a lot of people who see Tory as guilty, which has many calling LeBron a hypocrite.

In the tweets down below, you can see that Bron has been the subject of relentless criticism that doesn’t seem to be dying down. “What a thing to wake up and see. What a betrayal to all the Black Women who have had Lebron’s back. Wow. I’m actually speechless,” one person wrote. “This tweet is a DECISION OF SUPPORT for a man who shot Megan multiple times. The lack of value we are shown as Black Women has no depths.”

Other fans have stood up for LeBron, claiming that Twitter is not real life and that outside of the app, no one actually cares about him listening to Tory Lanez. Either way, people are upset right now, and Twitter is giving everyone a platform to voice that displeasure.

Blake Griffin Finds A New NBA Home

Blake Griffin’s career has been an interesting journey. Of course, Griffin made a name for himself playing with the Los Angeles Clippers during the Lob City era. He was teammates with Chris Paul, and while the team did not enjoy the success they were supposed to, there is no doubt that Griffin was able to come through with amazing highlights that fans will always remember.

Since that time, Griffin has made pit stops in Detroit and Brooklyn. His time in both of these cities were filled with uncertainty, and there is no doubt that he was upset with how little he was being played on the Nets.

Over the course of the offseason, Griffin has been looking for a new team, although he had yet to find one, until today. Now, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, Griffin will be signing a one-year deal with the Boston Celtics. This is huge news for Griffin, who is getting a fully guaranteed contract to play for one of the most historic teams in the league.

His role with the Celtics won’t be a massive one, but he will still be needed on defense. The team recently lost some players to injury, and Griffin will be able to step in an take a veteran’s approach to the game.

Stephen A. Smith Goes Off On Dolphins Over Tua Tagovailo Injury

Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins went down with a concussion last night, and it was a scary one, to say the least. Tagovailoa couldn’t get up after the hit and his fingers were frozen in a fencing position, which is typically a neurological response to trauma. It was frightening to watch, and fans are looking for answers.

Just last Sunday, Tua suffered what appeared to be a head injury, although the team cleared him to play. Many believe the Dolphins failed Tua and that this latest injury could lead to a significant issue later on down the road. With CTE and long-term concussion symptoms becoming a larger topic of conversation, the Dolphins’ malpractice is seen as unacceptable.

Many analysts throughout the media have been weighing in on this situation, including none other than Stephen A. Smith. As you can see in the tweet down below, Smith claimed that people need to be held accountable here, and that it should have been up to Tua’s teammates to pull him aside and tell him he is in no shape to play.

“Somebody needs to be fired! Now I don’t know who, but somebody got to go,” Smith said matter-of-factly.

This is easily the biggest story in the NFL right now, and if a deeper investigation is done, heads could roll.

Let us know who you think is at fault, in the comments down below.

Tua Tagovailoa Injury: NFLPA To Explore Legal Options

Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins suffered a bad head injury last night and if you were watching the game on TV, then you would know that the aftermath was scary. He ended up going into a fencing position and was unable to get up on his own. Team doctors took him off on a stretcher where he was then brought to a nearby hospital.

Eventually, Tua was allowed out of the hospital and he had to wear a neckbrace while traveling home with his team. Of course, this injury is made worse by the face that he injured his head last week. The team insisted he was fine, but it is clear that he wasn’t.

Now, the NFLPA is looking into legal action, as this could be malpractice on the part of the Dolphins. The NFLPA is there to protect the players, and sometimes, these players need to be protected by their teams, who only operate within their best interests. Most of the time, that means compromising the health of players, which you never want to see.

It remains to be seen what the NFLPA’s options will be, especially since an investigation claims that Tua was placed through the proper protocols.

Trae Young Reveals How NBA Can Hold Refs Accountable

NBA officiating has been catching a lot of flack as of late. The calls being made around the NBA have been incredibly inconsistent and it is hard to tell what is truly considered a foul at times. With that being said, the players are looking for some kind of accountability that is very hard to find. The refs are rarely held to the fire, and the players want this to stop.

In fact, Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks recently took to Twitter where he delivered an interesting suggestion. As he explains, refs should be forced to do post-game interviews, just like the players are. Young thinks this will keep refs accountable for years to come.

Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images

“A lot of different, new rules to the game that are kinda “judgemental” calls, why can’t the media interview them postgame too?.?” Young asked. “Maybe discuss some of there biggest calls that may or may have not changed the outcome of that game. Instead of just making a call & moving on, now the call will mean something to THEM as well.”

It is an incredible suggestion, but it is unlikely the league actually goes through with it. Refs have been protected for years, and that is not about to change.

Tell us what you think of Young’s suggestion, in the comments down below.
