In only 30 days, New York took in $2 billion in wagers — more than any other state in the U.S.– via new legalized online sports gambling. Super Bowl weekend alone, New York sports bettors wagered $472.1 million.
New York collects 51% of the state’s sports betting revenue in taxes, and New Yo Kathy Hochul’s budget plan reportedly expects $357 million in FY2023 from the additional source. By 2026, it estimates $509 million.
“Sports betting has level the playing field for the average sports fan to make a nice living on the side.” Said Jeff Johnson of MSG Networks’ The Betting Exchange, a dynamic roundtable style show featuring co host Katie Mox and former New York Jets safety Erik Coleman.
Johnson explains some ways on how the average newbie can try his or her luck on this chance to come up in a hot new industry.
“Start with what you can afford to lose.” Said Johnson” Even if your’e not a sports fan, there are plenty of ways to get in on the action. Think betting sports props, and or do you research and learn trends and remember Las Vegas isn’t aways right.”
You can check Johnson and The Betting Exchange weeknights on the MSG Network.

According to the New York Post, The Undertaker is the inaugural inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2022. During the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which will take place during WrestleMania Week, The Deadman will be inducted into the sacred hall.
The Undertaker hovered over the WWE landscape like a terrifying shadow, foreshadowing disaster for those who dared to cross him during his three-decade reign. The famous Phenom operated on his own level, possessing supposedly magical skills and uncanny in-ring skill.
In his career, The Undertaker won numerous championships including the WWE and World Heavyweight Championship and tag team titles. He also won the 2007 Royal Rumble. Undertaker also ushered in matches like the Casket Match, Buried Alive Match, and Hell in a Cell. He also ran off an impressive streak of 21 straight Wrestlemania wins.
The Undertaker’s legendary career came to an end at Survivor Series on Nov. 22, 2020, when The Deadman announced his retirement, ironically 30 years after he first stepped into a WWE ring.
The WWE Hall of Fame at a ceremony will take place Friday, April 1 at American Airlines Center in Dallas as part of WrestleMania Week.

The NBA released a new vaccine-related PSA featuring NBA All-Star and Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns ahead of NBA All-Star 2022. The PSA debuted during the Bucks’ game against the 76ers on February 17 and will continue to broadcast during All-Star weekend. Towns, whose mother died of COVID-19 in 2020, has a powerful message to share:
“Early in the COVID pandemic, many lives were lost and there wasn’t much we could do. Now, there’s effective vaccines and boosters. But some people choose not to take the shot. Some say they don’t know what the vaccine will do. But we all know what COVID has already done. Now we all have a choice to make. Let’s make a choice we can live with. For information on how to find a COVID-19 vaccine or booster near you, visit Vaccines.gov.”
The NBA family is continuing to work with public health experts and groups to figure out how we can share public health messaging to inform the NBA family and the wider public about the vaccinations’ safety and efficacy.
As part of NBA All-Star, the Cavs have partnered with the NBA to support Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb’s citywide vaccination, booster, and health education efforts by offering incentives to those who receive a COVID-19 vaccine or booster shot at vaccine sites throughout the city, including tickets to All-Star events and Cavaliers games, merchandise, special autographed items, and more. The league also donated 10,000 fast antigen tests and 110,000 face masks to the COVID-19 Taskforce for distribution to schools and community-based organizations, in addition to supporting 11 city-wide vaccination clinics and testing initiatives through additional vaccination venues.

A Super Bowl championship ring won’t likely be the only ring that Aaron Rodgers won’t be getting in 2022 as the Green Bay quarterback recently ended his engagement to actress Shallene Woodley.
The news comes just a year after Rodgers, 38, and the Divergent actress, 30, announced their engagement, much to the surprise of many.
Neither Rodgers nor Woodley provided any official information about the split, although it appears to be fairly amicable. (The couple has no children.) A source told People that “it just wasn’t working” between the two, stating that Rodgers and Woodley very different people with busy careers and there were obstacles that they couldn’t surmount. They will remain friendly; there’s no bad blood and no drama. It just didn’t work out for them.”
Some have speculated that the split might have been caused by their drastically different political and social views. Whereas Woodley is an outspoken activist about many causes, Rodgers has been a prominent figure in the fight against mandated Covid-19 vaccinations.
Neither has posted anything on Instagram since the breakup announcement.
Jaylen Brown will not be an NBA All-Star for the second season in a row. officially missed out on his second straight All-Star nod Monday when NBA commissioner Adam Silver selected Cleveland Cavaliers big man Jarrett Allen as the injury replacement for Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden, who is sidelined with a sore hamstring.
Brown is averaging 23.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game this season for a streaking Celtics team that is currently 6th in the competitive Eastern Conference. After the Celtics lost to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night, Brown talked about his latest All-STAR snub.
“I’m not really disappointed. Like I said before, I’m not losing sleep,” Brown told reporters, as seen in the video above. “I think that my ability on both sides of the ball speaks for itself. I’m not going to knock any of those other guys. Congratulations to them. But, I think it’s situational, to be honest. I think maybe some other things go into it that maybe we don’t know about right now.
Afterwards, Brown took to social media and posted an image of Kanye West holding a notepad saying how much he should have been an All-Star.
All Brown can do is continue to ball and let his game speak for itself.
