Lil Durk’s Concert Was Allegedly Ended After A False Active Shooter Report Was Made, Causing Mass Panic For Concertgoers

Lil Durk’s Sorry For The Drought Tour hasn’t been the triumph he intended it to be. Due to health concerns, the rapper reportedly decided to scale back his massive performance schedule in July, which resulted in several canceled stops across the country. But he was sure to keep his hometown of Chicago, Illinois, on the roster for a ceremonious homecoming show ahead of the release of Almost Healed Deluxe. Alas, his return to the Windy City on Saturday, August 12, ended in mayhem.

According to TMZ, Lil Durk’s concert, held at the United Center, was allegedly cut short due to a false report of an active shooter. The outlet claims that local authorities urged immediate evacuation. But as fans began to flee from the ground level of the arena, panic began to spread throughout the entire facility.

In video clips captured by concertgoers, concertgoers ran out in fear of the situation. Others, though, began to loot the merchandise stands before making their way to the nearest exit.

After the concert, Lil Durk took to Instagram to share a message about the show. Although he did not address the active shooter allegations, he let fans know he wasn’t upset with the looters. “Don’t believe the hype. We are bigger than big. Thank you, Chicago. Till next time. And who all stole the merchandise, tag me so I can repost y’all crazy ass,” wrote Durk.

Lil Durk Canceled Multiple Dates On His ‘Sorry For The Drought Tour’ After A Health Scare

It’s a bad week for tour news. Just a day after Lil Baby unceremoniously dumped several dates from his upcoming It’s Only Us Tour — and saw tour opener The Kid Laroi jump ship in turn — Baby’s frequent collaborator Lil Durk has also canceled a slew of upcoming dates, per XXL. While Baby’s cancellations are being blamed on poor ticket sales, though, Durk’s Sorry For The Drought Tour dates were 86ed after the Chicago rapper was hospitalized with “severe dehydration,” according to TMZ. After a week-long stay, he was told not to travel, prompting the cancellations.

In a statement, he said, “My fans mean everything to me, you’re the reason why I do this. I was looking forward to touching all of my European fans, performing this week(end), attending the ESPYs and more but after performing and traveling daily I’ve become severely dehydrated and advised by my doctors not to travel due to exhaustion. Once I get my full energy back, it’s back to business which I’m looking forward to.”

Durk’s tour now consists of just five dates, including Tampa, a pair of Chicago dates, Indiana, and Houston. It’s unclear whether his opening acts DD Osama, Kodak Black, and NLE Choppa will join him.

Lil Durk fans might have some bad news on their hands, as the rapper reportedly canceled multiple dates for his upcoming “Sorry For The Drought” tour. Moreover, if you go to Ticketmaster as of writing this article, you will see that many of the scheduled shows apparently got axed. However, it’s unclear whether this move is purely temporary, if there will be rescheduled dates, or if this is a complete cut. Either way, it’s an incredibly unfortunate development during what must be a trying time for the Chicago native. Recently, he revealed that he went to the hospital, but in recovery, for dehydration and exhaustion.

Furthermore, Smurk shared a statement concerning his week-long stay under medical care, stressing his dedication to fans. ““My fans mean everything to me,” Lil Durk expressed. “You’re the reason why I do this. Lil Durk Cuts Tour Dates: Report

Hopefully The Voice gets back on his feet soon and has the time to recover and heal properly, which is the most important thing at the end of the day. It’s hard enough for huge artists to tour, and downright impossible when it’s affecting their health. Fans’ disappointment and concern for this news is understandable, as concerts can be a big investment. Still, hopefully they focus on prioritizing Lil Durk’s well-being and not their inability to go to a show.

Meanwhile, Durk recently reflected on how he thought that cutting his hair would end his career. While it may sound ridiculous, image can actually be very important to an artist’s opportunities and appeal. Lil Durk Announces “Sorry For The Drought” Tour

Lil Durk will be performing 27 concerts across North America, later this year, for the Sorry For The Drought Tour. Durk announced the schedule for the tour on Tuesday, with stops in Atlanta, Brooklyn, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and many more cities.

For the tour, Durk will be bringing alongside Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, and DD Osama for most of the dates. Presale tickets will be going available through Live Nation on Wednesday, May 17 at 10:00 AM, local time. A general sale will follow on Thursday, May 18 at 10:00 AM, local time.

The tour announcement comes ahead of the release of Durk’s new studio album, Almost Healed. The project was originally slated to drop last Friday; however, Durk has since pushed it back to May 26. He previously released the first single from the effort, “All My Life,” featuring J. Cole. It will be his first full-length album since 2022’s 7220.
