Atlanta Rapper Lil Bike Shows Off His Lifestyle On “Professional”

Think It’s A Game Records has grown into one of the most successful record labels operating out of Atlanta, developing artists like YFN Lucci into superstardom. The rap label has an impressive track record, so anybody coming out of TIAG is worth checking out. Lil Bike is one of the latest rappers to emerge out of the city and, with his new single and video for “Professional”, it isn’t a surprise to see him buzzing.

Releasing the video for “Professional” last week, Lil Bike has watched his numbers continually rise as more eyes are exposed to his content. He starts off racing in a yellow Corvette, delivering catchy melodies with plenty of replay value.

If you’re not familiar with Lil Bike, it might be time to start paying attention. Listen to his new release below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Buy all my b*tches Rollies
My b*tches don’t cheat
I got a problem, call my shooter, his name Lil Ginobili
Say he already off a Addy, he ain’t get no sleep
So he gon’ wipe your nose like you got a nose bleed

Cory Gunz Unleashes Bars On “Different”

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Cory Gunz. He was once regarded as Lil Wayne’s next biggest star to follow Drake and Nicki. His appearance on “6 Foot 7 Foot” would end many of Wayne’s concerts during the I Am Music II Tour in support of Tha Carter IV. Unfortunately, not all went as planned and it feels like his presence has been lacking in the game but thankfully, he’s readying to come through with a brand new project tomorrow titled Tims and Hoodies.

Ahead of its release, the Bronx rapper unveiled his new single, “Different” which was accompanied by a Busta Rhymes-inspired visual. “I was inspired by Busta Rhymes’ ‘Put Your Hands Where Your Eyes Could See.’ When you start to add in visual effects and stop motion, it can be cool or creepy. I like that,” he told Hip-Hop-N-More.

Check his latest offering below and keep your eyes peeled for his new project dropping tomorrow.

Quotable Lyrics
20 percent of me hates rap
20 percent of me loves rappin’
10 percent of me likes bad bitches
Who hate rap but love when I’m rappin’
20 percent of me does drugs
And 20 percent of me eats fruit
One percent of me eats veggies
And my other nine percent will eat you

Emotional Oranges Return With New Single “Body & Soul”

Emotional Oranges have officially returned with a new single, with Complex premiering the Biig Piig-assisted “Body & Soul.” Though the track itself is relatively on the brief side, there’s still plenty to enjoy on this one, especially for longtime fans of the band. Immediately capturing an up-tempo vibe fueled by a steady drum and a dancing bassline, “Body & Soul” is confirmed to be appearing on their upcoming album JUICEBOX

Speaking on the track’s creation to Complex, Emotional Oranges revealed a little bit about the backstory. “It was actually the bridge for the first track we did and we decided to build around that for an entirely new song,” explain the band. “The feel-good, carefree energy reminds me of ‘Motion’ and ‘Personal’ and we’re glad we were able to bring that back for JUICEBOX.” Feel-good and carefree indeed, as the two vocalists’ effortless chemistry blends nicely over the lush groove.

With the track set to release on streaming platforms this Wednesday, be sure to check out the latest from the band right now.

Patrick Paige II Of The Internet Drops Solo Single “Whisper (Want My Luv)”

The Internet’s Patrick Paige II has officially come through to announce his upcoming solo album If I Fail Are We Still Cool?, due out for release on May 21. And though the project is a few months away, Paige has come through to unveil the project’s lead single “Whisper (Want My Love), which arrives complete with some new visuals.

As expected given his Internet affiliation, the instrumentation is lush and dynamic — particularly where the bass and percussion are concerned. Vocally, Paige isn’t afraid to take risks, conjuring up some strange and unconventional harmonies throughout the ballad. There’s a vintage sensibility throughout, particularly drawn from the classic funk sound, realized deftly by a live band arrangement. With an assist from Steve Lacy, Allen Love, and Durand Bernarr, “Whisper” certainly bodes well for the remainder of If I Fail Are We Still Cool?, a seventeen-track effort with features from Westside McFly, Bowie, Syd, Paco, and more.

Check it out now, and sound off if you’ll be tuning in when the project drops on May 21st.

Method Man Blessed Scott Storch’s Keys On “Is It Me”

Today marks a major milestone occasion for one of hip-hop’s legendary lyricists, with Method Man officially celebrating his 50th birthday. Though the Wu-Tang bar-spitter needs no introduction, it certainly feels appropriate to highlight one of his many timeless tracks in honor of the big day. This one harkens back to 2006, when Method Man delivered his fourth studio album 4:21…The Day After on Def Jam Records. Though the project as a whole was slightly divisive, many agreed that the Scott Storch-produced “Is It Me” was an easy highlight from the project.

Blessed by some melancholic keys laced by the Piano Man in the midst of a triumphant run, Meth’s calm and collected demeanor shines throughout as he whips up some effortless flow-schemes. “Ask Def Jam what’s hot, three letters, M-E-F Man,” he spits. “Been stopped, that’s off-top, young, fresh to death / And you’re not, no matter what the job, I’m the best man / Rap C.E.O. minus the yes-man.”

Though some might have been put off by Meth’s deviation from RZA’s grimy production into something more pristine, others welcomed his foray into different territory. Years removed from the release of 4:21…The Day After, how do you feel this one has withstood the test of time? Check it out now, and be sure to show some love to the birthday man of the hour. Happy 50th Meth!

QUOTABLE LYRICS

As I brush off my shoulder, that’s right
My ni*ga Scott Storch keep bringing it back like
Oh boy, dig it, I talk about it and I live it
Been there, did it, shitted and wiped my ass with it
These critics saw the train for brains and must have missed it
If they ain’t got the shit, they’ll never get it

Sammie Thinks It’s Time That Men Stop Calling Women “Crazy”

He’s spent most of his life under the warm spotlight of fame after entering the music industry as a pre-teen with a voice that young girls couldn’t get enough of. His feature on Showtime at the Apollo would be a catalyst that launched him into stardom, spawning hits like “I Like It” and his feature on Soulja Boy’s “Kiss Me Through the Phone.” In recent years, Sammie has continued to push forward with new releases, and the latest comes in the form of his single, “Crazy.”

On the track, Sammie admits that he hasn’t been the best partner in his relationship. The singer states that men need to stop cheating on their women and doing them wrong, only to call their significant others “crazy” after being called out. This single follows Sammie’s Such is Life album that he released last summer. Check out “Crazy” and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

How dare I lie right to you
Damn, the nerve, girl, I ain’t sh*t
Then get mad when you pull up
Unannounced, you ’bout to flip
I flipped the switch, I made you mad
I changed the tide, girl, we were smooth
I cheated many times
You took me back and played the fool

Pooh Shiesty Assists Crudchapo On “Shiesty”

We just entered the month of March but it appears that Crudchapo is already claiming the title of “Trapper Of The Year.” Over the weekend, the Detroit rapper released his very first project titled, Trapper Of The Year Vol. 1. It’s a solid introduction to the masses that effectively uses some star features without taking too much attention away from Crudchapo. Artists like Icewear Vezzo and Payroll Giovanni make appearances on the project but it’s Pooh Shiesty’s feature that’s making the rounds. Crudchapo and Pooh Shiesty team up to deliver a sleek street banger with “Shiesty.” Tax Free handles the production which gives some early traps vibes while Crudchapo and Pooh Shiesty swap bars.

Pooh Shiesty recently appeared on HNHH’s weekly series Rise & Grind which you can check out here.

Quotable Lyrics
Ain’t doin’ features with these rappers
‘Cause my hood, they can’t come
I ain’t beefin’ with no rappers ’cause my hood really dumb
Book you for a feature, book the session, get you stung

Page Kennedy & Xzibit Go Back And Forth On “Setup”

Page Kennedy is a man of many talents, ranging from the art of comedy to the art of rapping. Following the release of his brand new album Page, the latter was certainly in full effect, especially on the highlight Xzibit duet “Setup,” which finds the pair trading some back-and-forth bars.

Picking up where his recent Serial Killers project left off, X takes to the percussive instrumental with a focused teardown of the current societal state, embracing his violent urges. “Shot up n***as on some John Wick, stuck on some wild shit,” he raps. “Little blonde bitch say she got a line on a live lick, put a gun to his face and make him reach for outer space.” Kennedy tags in effortlessly, weaving a complex scheme as he paints a hilariously vivid picture. “Bout to race to the hood to get that good head that she promised,” he raps, setting up the outlandish punchline. “She said that she honest, body is sick, make my dick projectile vomit.”

For more where that came from, be sure to check out Page Kennedy’s brand new project Page right here.

K Hus Pays Homage To A Classic With “Superbad Freestyle”

Long Island rapper K Hus has officially returned to the fold with a new single “Superbad Freestyle,” a tribute to the beloved Jonah Hill and Michael Cera-led 2007 comedy. And while the film centers around the blundering misadventures of several young high schoolers coming of age, K Hus appears far more focused and disciplined than the likes of McLovin. Taking to a distorted guitar riff, Hus wastes little time in diving straight into the bars.

“Put VVs on my fingers, look good when I smoke an opp down to stinger,” he spits, whipping his flow into a quicker pace. “I met her on clubhouse she told me to ping her, told her I rap but she thinks I’m a singer / She got a friend told her to bring her, they fight for the dick like they on Jerry Springer.” For the most part, “Superbad Freestyle” is a solid showcase for K Hus, a young rapper who might not be on everyone’s radar quite yet. Perhaps we’ll see more from him in the coming months, especially if he continues to fire off loosies like this one.

Check it out for yourself now, and sound off if you’re interested in whatever K Hus has cooking up.

RA Enlists Abra Cadabra, Backroad Gee & More For “The Convo 5”

Rap has often had a cinematic touch and rappers have often used this to their favor to tell their own stories. The art of storytelling remains integral to the art of rapping, as well. When you merge both of these together, rappers become the directors of their own films.

UK rapper RA is known for his series of songs called “The Convo,” each arriving with a slew of rappers to serve as the co-stars. This week, RA released “The Convo 5” which includes Abra Cadabra, M24, Ard Adz, BackRoad Gee, STINX & Shanny4rmdaBrixx who all assist in bringing this crime-thriller to life.

Along with the song, they also released a solid visual to accompany the single’s rleease.
