Bankroll Freddie Grabs 2 Chainz & Young Scooter For “Dope Talk”

Bankroll Freddie dropped off a new album this past week entitled Big BankThe project has gotten a lukewarm response from fans and critics, however, there are definitely some bangers on there. Case in point: “Dope Talk” featuring 2 Chainz and Young Scooter. This anthemic banger is sure to get your head nodding in satisfaction.

The instrumental is simple. It is made of a haunting piano note, repeated over trap percussions. It gives the beat an almost dirty feel, like some street-cut grimey hip-hop. Bankroll Freddie opens the track with a dope verse before 2 Chainz comes brings his comedic and lively energy to the second verse. Young Scooter comes to finish the track out, leaving fans wanting for more.

Quotable Lyrics
I’m a two-time felon
Don’t get ahead of yourself
You might get beheaded

The Weeknd’s NFT Single “The Source” Is Haunting

The world of crypto can be confusing. NFTs are digital assets that are unique. Think of them like video game skins that kids buy: they only exist in the digital realm and you buy them for clout. And they’re unique and cool. The world of NFTs is more complicated than that, and musicians have started to make a bunch of profit off them.

The Weeknd auctioned off his first NFT collection today, and of course, it has hit the internet. For those who understand NFTs, this means we can listen to a copy of the song, although we don’t own the artwork or the NFT. The lucky person who got the 1 of 1 NFT song and artwork is sitting pretty right now though.

The single is called “The Source” and is part of a collection called “Acephalous.” The collection highlights eight pieces: the 1 of 1 “The Source” full song and accompanying digital artwork, along with several other edits and cuts of the song that also have their own artwork. The digital art was made in collaboration with Strangeloop Studios.

Lakeyah Isn’t Taking Any Disrespect On “Easy”

On “Easy,” Lakeyah breaks down how she sets the example for other women in the industry through her success. It took the Milwaukee artist a lot of hard work to get to where she is today, and becoming a recording artist came at the expense of dropping out of the Art Institute of Atlanta and quitting jobs like McDonald’s and Target. It was all worth it, though, because now she can talk over everyone who didn’t believe in her. “Well, tell that bitch to shut her mouth if she ain’t poppin’ shit / Bitch, I want the Dolce & Gabbana, I don’t politic,” she raps.

Lakeyah calls being signed to Quality Control her biggest accomplishment, and her 2020 label debut Time’s Up featured standout tracks like “Female Goat” with City Girls and “Big FlexHer” with 42 Dugg. Her next tape, In Due Time, is sure to be a hit, and according to a recent interview with HNHH, it’s not too far away. “Another tape, more videos,” Lakeyah said when asked about what’s up next. “I just hope to show my face more, too. I know we are in a pandemic but like, [I want to] be outside more. I really just been working. Like studio time, phone interviews have been my thing right now.”

Listen to Lakeyah’s new single and watch the accompanying music video below, and be sure to listen to In Due Time when it drops on April 9th.
