Blueface & DDG Continue Hot Streak With New Song “BGC”

Blueface and DDG have a successful track record so far, working together on the fan-favorite “Moonwalking In Calabasas” a few months ago. As DDG continues to rise in the rap game, he’s back with another feature, lending his vocals to Blueface’s “BGC” single, attempting to recreate their viral success a second time.

The record is all about Blueface’s infamous “Blue Girl’s Club” on OnlyFans. The subscription-based show is hosted on the platform, showcasing all of the antics that go down at Blue’s Los Angeles mansion. He has a gaggle of bikini-clad models staying at his house who regularly get into fights, stage insane shenanigans, and more, which is partly captured in the new music video from the rapper with DDG.

Produced by Bankroll Got It, “BGC” is the latest single from Blueface and DDG. Check it out below and let us know your thoughts.

King Los Slides Through With “Mines Still x Track Star x Lucid Dreams”

King Los doesn’t necessarily receive the credit he deserves for his penmanship. Over the years, he’s proven to be a lyrical heavyweight with the release of freestyles, mixtapes, and singles. His pen game is mean which is why it’s always nice hearing from him. Last month, he wasted no time tackling the latest from Drake and Rick Ross as well as a classic record from Busta Rhymes.

Even though it’s only been a few weeks, he surprised fans this week with a special mash-up of singles. Los came through with a remix that incorporated Juice WRLD’s hit record “Lucid Dreams,” Yung Bleu’s “You’re Mine Still,” and Mooski’s viral hit, “Trackstar.” It’s an interesting blend of melody and bars, though Los does make sure to distinguish the two.

Quotable Lyrics
How n***as clickbaitin’
But couldn’t move a mouse
When a Mac put ’em to sleep
Ain’t no screensaver pop up
They claim they wanna pass words
And I go give a L out
But when I log in, they don’t say back words

Soulja Boy Is Back With “Came From The Bottom”

Despite the numerous setbacks in the past year or two, it seems that Soulja Boy is finally back on the right track. The SODMG leader has been unveiling new singles regularly since the top of the year including “Make It Clap” which is now a TikTok-certified anthem. It seems like Soulja Boy has spoken his recent success into existence since he also penned a brand new deal with Virgin.

The signing wasn’t going to slow down the output, though. Fresh off of the announcement, the rapper returned with a brand new single this weekend titled, “Came From The Bottom.” Soulja runs through a grungy beat with major flexes that only he can pull off.

JOEY TRAP Keeps The Momentum High With “Professional”

We’re only four months into 2021 and Joey Trap has made it absolutely clear that he plans on having the game in a headlock. Following his prolific run in 2020 that included numerous singles and five projects, he kept the momentum high by the time 2021 came around. He’s already one project deep and it seems like that’s just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what the rapper has in store for the remainder of the year.

This week, the rapper dropped off another new banger titled, “Professional.” The production sounds like something JetsonMade would’ve produced while Trap leans more towards the melodies this time around.

The new single from Joey Trap arrives less than a month after the release of his latest project, LOYALTY.

KenTheMan Provides An Undeniable Banger On “Might Not Like It”

KenTheMan has been repping Houston for quite some time now and despite the masculine sounding name, KenTheMan is a woman rapper who has all of the confidence in the world, and she is doing her best to rep some of the finest MCs out there. People have already made not of her bass-heavy tracks that immediately grab your attention and on her latest effort “Might Not Like It,” that is exactly what she provides, and then some.

With this song, we immediately hear some banging 808s that set us up for some energy that only KenTheMan can provide. Her bars are braggadocios and she doesn’t seem to care who she offends. If you’re not messing with her, she’s going to have some words for you and that attitude is on full display with this new track. For those who are uninitiated to her music, this is a great entry point and you can stream it, below.

Quotable Lyrics:

I ain’t with all that talking
I can get a bitch slapped down
Hoes screaming they don’t like me
See ’em running in a pack now

Brockhampton Explores The Pain Of Suicide On “THE LIGHT”

Brockhampton fans had been waiting for a brand new project to sink their teeth into and on Friday, they received it as the group came through with a new album called ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE. The project has some impressive features and there are a ton of great tracks, including “THE LIGHT” which mostly features Kevin Abstract and Joba.

Joba is the true star of the song and throughout the first verse, he speaks on some devastating subject matter. While speaking on the death of his father, he recalls the gruesome scene and the pain his mother went through. Joba notes that he is looking to find the light in the situation, and it makes for an emotional moment. The guitars throughout the song are powerful as well and Abstract’s final verse acts as a nice little bow on a fantastic effort.

Quotable Lyrics:

I know you care, felt numb since September
When I heard the news, what I’d do to speak one last time
Think I always will be haunted by the image
Of a bloody backdrop, skull fragments in the ceilin’
Felt your presence in the room, heard my mother squealin’

Anders & FRVRFRIDAY Form A Canadian Tag Team On “What I Like”

Over the past year or so, the Canadian r&b space has been blossoming into something special as numerous new artists have entered the fray and are delivering top-tier tracks. Anders from Toronto is one of those artists and over the last few months, Edmonton’s own FRVRFRIDAY has also been bringing the hits. With this in mind, it should be no surprise that they decided to link up for a brand new song, called “What I Like.”

This track certainly brings the vibes as we have a hypnotic beat all while Anders delivers a smooth first verse and chorus. His voice truly shines here and FRVRFRIDAY is just as solid as he comes through with a more high-pitched effort. Both artists are unique but it makes for some fun chemistry and if you’re a Canadian, you can’t help but be proud of these two.

Quotable Lyrics:

I came up with keys, off of cheese, off of three
I have a good week, she get C’s, I get G’s
Said I wouldn’t tweak, I got shrooms in the tea
I’ve been drinking too much lean, that shit got me losing sleep, uh
