Drakeo The Ruler & Shy Glizzy Creep Through On “Stop Cappin”

In a matter of months, Drakeo The Ruler went from sitting behind bars on unjust charges to securing a feature with Drake and flooding the streets with bodies of work every few weeks. It’s certainly a 180 but we’re glad that Drakeo is back home and on the grind. The rapper had tons of music in the stash during his absence but without his physical presence turned , it didn’t hit the way it needed to.

The rapper returned with his fourth official project of the year this week with Ain’t That The Truth. Boasting 17 songs, the rapper connects with Shy Glizzy for one of the many highlights on the album for “Stop Cappin.” The two are backed by eerie West Coast production as they detail their authenticity and the frauds in both the streets and the rap game.

Quotable Lyrics
Who this n***a drive in a SRT? Look suspicious
The devil told me but his brains up on the windshield
N***as always cappin’, I’mma buy a hat for ’em
Killas in the field, they gon’ go to bat for me

Soulja Boy Unveils “Rick N Morty” Remix Ft. Tory Lanez & Rich The Kid

It was only a few weeks back when Soulja Boy dropped a freestyle during a live stream that transformed into a viral smash. Similar to the release of “She Make It Clap,” Soulja Boy dropped some impromptu bars on a live stream of Fortnite when he was playing Rick Sanchez’s character. It didn’t take long for Soulja Boy to bank off of its organic success and follow it up with a studio version of the track. Ultimately, it caught the attention of Adult Swim who chose to include the song in the promotion of the show’s fifth season.

Soulja Boy’s keeping the momentum going with a brand new remix. Just days after unveiling Rich The Kid’s verse on the record, he’s now released the song’s official remix with another new verse from Tory Lanez who opens his verse with a reference to last summer’s shooting.

Check it out below.

Quotable Lyrics

SSGKobe Stuns In “MIA” Visuals Directed By Cole Bennet

SSGKobe may have just delivered one of the best music videos of the year. The young artist teamed up with director Cole Bennett to deliver “MIA” in visual form. The single is a catchy jam that finds SSGKobe vibing in autotune over a synth-heavy beat. It’s easy to see why the rookie is picking up steam.

The music video places SSGKobe in many abstract and unique scenes, including one where a spider sits on his face while he raps, and another where he’s in a tub of fish and red-tinged water. The music video really draws you in, as it whirls around and spins SSGKobe and his crew around. Check out the single “MIA” and let us know what you think below.

Quotable Lyrics
I sacrificed myself, like Jesus sacrifices for sins
I just got a Benz and I’ma push it through the wind
I just got a check and I’ma spend it on my friends
I’m lying, finna spend it on my Benz

Kevin George Drops New Track “All In My Head”

Kevin George brings the heat with his own eclectic sound. His new track, “All In My Head,” continues to deliver that unique vibe that George has come to be known for.  His new release is the latest single released ahead of George’s upcoming EP, Everybody’s In My Ear.

The song consists of an upbeat, guitar-driven production that sonically blends modern hip hop along with an early 2000s pop-rock sound. Over the bright composition, Kevin George rap-sings lines about falling out with a romantic interest. “I put you on…Singing these songs, how I met you, I’m wrong…Singing these songs, girl you know gave me a home,” George croons rhythmically.

Johan Lenox drops in for an assist on “All In My Head.” In the second verse, he sings the lines “I worry too much…Am I wastin’ my time? I’m gonna be sad for the rest of my life…But, it’s okay, okay.”

Take a listen and sound off about Kevin George’s latest release.

Quotable Lyrics:

It’s all in my head
Put you to bed
You won’t forgive me for the things I said
Let’s put it to rest
I know you’re upset

Blxst & Bino Rideaux Stick To The “Program”

Blxst and Bino Rideaux have formed incredible chemistry on wax over the years. Blxst’s smooth R&B-stylings and Rideaux’s auto-tuned flow have proven to be an exceptional match together. Fans of the West Coast artists were elated by their first collaborative project, Sixtape. The 2019 project was a quick 6-song effort that had the two rappers finding a solid groove between their differing styles.

On Friday, the two artists released the sequel to their 2019 project. Without any features, Blxst and Bino Rideaux prove just how effortless they can make a hit, such as on “Program.” Smooth guitar melodies, funky basslines and bouncy drums make up the song’s production as the two rappers detail love and their chase for the bag.

Peep the highlight off of Sixtape 2 below. What’s your favorite track on the project?

Quotable Lyrics
Got a bougie bitch, we be fuckin’ in a Rolls-Royce
I got big racks, where I left ’em isn’t no choice
I got what you need, you got’ give me what I want for it
All you gotta do is be here and this shit’s all yours, no, for real

Shenseaa Has The Summer On Lock With Her New Single “Run Run”

As Jamaica continues to reign supreme in the world of music, Shenseaa has been asserting her dominance with each and every release. Though her sound is truly rooted in the sound of dancehall and reggae, her pop sensibilities have proven to be a success in the American market. In fact, she was recently spotted in the studio with Moneybagg Yo which could mean a collaboration is on the way.

While we wait for that, Shenseaa made sure to keep the summer hot with a brand new single. This week, she unveiled her new single, “Run Run.” There’s a trap-esque feel to the production that creates a heavier feel to the dancehall record while Shenseaa tackles the beat with a performance that’s reminiscent of Rihanna’s early work.

Peep the song below.

Quotable Lyrics
Look at  what you do to me
Take over my energy
Should’ve know you neva good fi me
And now you make me haffi
Run, run, run, run, run

Tay Money Wants You To Make It “Shake”

Tay Money wants to see you “Shake.” Her latest single is a summer single dedicated to booty shaking. Everything about this track seems trite, yet we can’t help but see people getting down to this track. The instrumental sounds a little confusing and is mainly comprised of rattling percussions. The turn up track may be exactly what college campuses need during this scorching Summer.

Tay Money lays down verses about dancing and haters, dropping bars about how she’s the baddest in the place. Her tone sounds excited yet her lyrics fall flat. Although we’re sure there’s a group of kids going crazy to this track, we hope Tay Money has some better single coming down the pipeline soon.

Quotable Lyrics
Know these bitches bad, they don’t wanna see me up
Ice Tay the gang, he gon’ wanna beat it up
All that hard work and it still ain’t keepin’ up
These bitches mad ‘cause they don’t do enough

Eric Bellinger Wants To Be His Lady’s “Only Fan”

Only Fans has exploded as a top service for sex workers. Especially during the pandemic, beautiful gals and guys took their talents to social media, stunting their bodies for subscriptions. Now, Only Fans has become one of the best places to establish a business based on views, but Eric Bellinger doesn’t want anybody’s eyes on his lady except his.

Bellinger is back with a new single called “Only Fan.” As the name suggests, the talented singer wants to be his lady’s only fan. That means no social media body stunting, just private worship from her man. The intimate and soft new single is a pleasure to listen to, and can definitely be used as baby-making music.

Quotable Lyrics
They can’t subscribe to you
I gotta be the only one to put my eyes on you
The only thing I want is time, don’t need a dime from you
Just let me be your only fan
Girl, you don’t need a million views, I see the best in you
But it’s your body, you could show it off, if you choose to
The only thing I want is time, don’t need a dime from you
Just let me be your only fan

Lil Gnar Doesn’t Want “No Regular”

Lil Gnar has laced fans up with a new single called “No Regular.” The poppy single finds Gnar auto-tune crooning about his exceptional life. Braggadious and boastful, “No Regular” suffers from a monotonous concept but provides a fun Summer track to bop to.

The beat for “No Regular” is the best part of the track. Produced by Evertime, LostKidSamy, and KP Beatz, “No Regular” is packed with a mutating synth and reverberating percussions. The electronic spiraling of the instrumental can be dizzying at times, but is still fun to turn up to. Lil Gnar drops one verse about his lavish life, opting to keep the single short.

Quotable Lyrics
Cactus plant all on my Forces (Cactus)
These ain’t no regular kicks (Nah)
V12, you hearin’ the horses (Skrrt)
This ain’t no regular whip (Dig)
Exotic, my weed is imported (Za)
This ain’t no regular spliff
