Sada Baby Releases New Track “Remember”

It’s been an interesting come-up for Sada Baby. The Detroit rapper has been one of the most promising rappers out of Michigan in the past few years but his rise has also been littered with various controversies. However, he still secured a verse from Nicki Minaj, Big Sean and more. Fans have been hoping that a new album will be released at some point this year, but he continues to keep flooding new music in the form of loose singles.

Sada Baby’s streaming pages aren’t an accurate representation of his catalog. The Detroit rapper came through with another new track that solely emerged on YouTube. The rapper mixes the fast-paced production of Detroit with chipmunk vocal samples with his usual zany flow.

Peep the latest from Sada Baby below.

Quotable Lyrics
Every bitch I get, break they heart, ’cause I can’t love
Keep gettin’ high, I ain’t stuck but I can’t budge
Ain’t no n***a in the squad that don’t take drugs
Bitch, I’m talkin’ ’bout Percs, talkin’ ’bout weed, talkin’ bout drank mud

Eli Fross Shares New Single “Laced”

Brooklyn is still carrying the flag strong for the drill scene. Though it blew up into mainstream consciousness in the past year, the underground artists that are bubbling from Brooklyn and beyond are delivering some of the rawest rap music out right now. Among those is Winners Circle Entertainment artist Eli Fross whose 2020 album Cesar put his name on the map.

Today, the rapper came through with his first single of the year titled, “Laced,” and what a statement he made. Taking on the sinister production of Great John, Fross offers menacing bars with braggadocious flexes over the course of two minutes. “Ride around town with the bid body double R, shooters turn into a tank/ ‘Cause I got the power, and I’m unstoppable, aye,” he raps on the track.

Hopefully, the latest single from Eli Fross is a sign that he’s preparing to drops his follow-up to Cesar soon.

Quotable Lyrics
He want the work, then we stretch him
Ride with two dogs on my side like the number eleven, you will get added to heaven
Talking real tough out your mouth, then we using subtraction
Multiple shots coming at him

Kevin Gates & Renni Rucci Team Up On “Boat To Virginia”

Kevin Gates and Renni Rucci have formed solid chemistry on wax. It’s been shown on records like “At” and the “Hands On Your Knees” in the past but today, they’ve returned with another new collaboration with “Boat To Virginia.” Taking on a softer approach in comparison to their previous collabs, Kevin and Renni details love, romance, and the streets over dulcet guitar strings.

Renni Rucci recently chopped it up with HNHH for Rise & Grind where she detailed the relationship she’s formed with Kevin Gates. She said they initially met through playing the same concert line-ups before Gates took notice of her talents.

“He reached out to me, maybe a year ago, and was like, he wanted to put a female on it and he asked me to get on it,” she said of “Hands On Your Knees.” “I was still going through my learning phases of my sound and just forming songs. Sh**, I was intimidated, still! This Kevin Gates! If you get on a song with somebody like him, you got to bring it. Luckily, he was so supportive and he’s always been very supportive of my career just trying to help me succeed, he held the record for me.”

Have you ever been criticized for nothin’?
Have you ever been penalized for assumptions?

IDK Puts In Work In New LA Leakers Freestyle

Though IDK can definitely spit bars, having proven as much time and again, the rapper tends to operate as a visionary first. Sometimes, the song simply doesn’t call for spazzing out, and IDK will prioritize whatever will most benefit the album as a whole. Still, the rapper can hold his own, and today he hit up the LA Leakers (who have been on a murderous tear these days) to issue a reminder of how he gets down behind the mic.

Over Brent Faiyaz and Drake’s “Wasting Time,” IDK wastes little time in catching a stride. “Look at my past, and look at all of the people that I passed,” he begins. “Reminiscing about days they used to laugh / these days I hit 105 and do the dash / on accident, didn’t know this car was that fast / my biggest fear is reaching my limits to go and crash / that’s figuratively, who’s the best new rapper, I figured it’s me.”

He proceeds to make a compelling case, bringing a subtle intensity to the laid-back instrumental as he strings together a relentless verse. Check it out for yourself, and if you like what you hear, show IDK some love by checking out his new album USEE4YOURSELF right here.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

That’s figuratively, who’s the best new rapper, I figured it’s me
Think about it, most these n***as focused on writtens and beats
That’s cute, I do the same shit while running the streets
Running my label, running my staff, and still can compete

Soulja Boy Doesn’t Hold Back On “Knock Down Everything”

Soulja Boy is as active as ever these days. The rapper who notably flooded online services like YouTube with a plethora of music 10 years ago is keeping that same energy in the lead up to the release of DRACO. He officially dropped the pre-save link in the past few days, along with several new singles and two new remixes.

Most recently, the rapper returned with his latest single, “Knock You Down.” On his latest effort, he comes through with smooth, West Coast influenced production and a laidback flow, largely detailing his affinity for his Ruger 57.

With Soulja Boy preparing to drop off his new album, he recently shared the remix to “She Make It Clap” ft. French Montana and “Rick N Morty” alongside Rich The Kid and Tory Lanez.

Khalid Announces Upcoming Album & Releases “New Normal”

The world is rapidly changing before our very eyes. Many of us have lived through our very first (and hopefully last) pandemic and the possibility of space travel has opened up with the ultra-wealthy starting to take trips to the galaxy. As things continue to change, world-renowned singer Khalid is also undergoing personal alterations, expanding on his sound and releasing his new single “New Normal,” which is the first track to arrive from his forthcoming third studio album, titled Everything Is Changing.

The new song was released today, accompanied by a music video. The Andy Hines-directed video marks the beginning of a new era for Khalid, who has been a teenage heartthrob ever since breaking onto the scene. Adopting a more mature persona, Khalid has returned and he’s taking on a new approach to his music.

“‘New Normal’ was inspired by how I was feeling during the pandemic and the emotional toll that quarantine took on me and my friends,” said Khalid about the new record. “Everything is Changing as an album really takes that a step further with all of the songs centering around trying to find a purpose and a sense of self in a world where everything is digitally connected but emotionally disconnected. As we all come out of quarantine and venture more into the world and try to reconnect with people we haven’t seen in over a year, I hope the messages explored within the album open up conversations and allow people to access their feelings in a new way.”

Listen to the new song below and stay tuned because Everything Is Changing will be releasing this fall.

Quotable Lyrics:

You found your way but it’s never enough
Though it’s been tough for you
Losing touch
But I, summer has its end sometimes
Although I can’t promise you much
You’ll be fine, you’ll be fine

Tyler, The Creator Is Still Rocking, Rolling, Blooming, And Growing

Four years ago today, Tyler, the Creator returned with his highly anticipated fourth studio album. Originally titled Scum F*ck Flower Boy, the final product arrived in a slightly more commercially friendly package as Flower Boy, and it featured artists such as Frank Ocean, A$AP Rocky, Lil Wayne, Rex Orange County, Estelle, and Jaden Smith, among others. The album was widely praised for its growth from Tyler’s original Bastard/Goblin/Wolf trilogy, and it also saw the Odd Future founder exploring his sexuality on wax for the first time.

Since its release, the album has easily become one of Tyler, the Creator’s most beloved projects, and in our interview with Wayno, the Amazon Music Connected host went as far as to call Flower Boy a certified classic.

Many would agree with Wayno, and skeptics who aren’t quite ready to deem it a “classic” per se would likely still admit that it’s a great album. With so many incredible moments spread throughout its 14 tracks, it’s hard to pick one highlight from Flower Boy, but the post-chorus on “Where This Flower Blooms” perfectly conveys the sentiment that has guided Tyler’s incredible development in the latter half of his career.

Following up a catchy (and rare) Frank Ocean hook, Tyler raps, “I rock, I roll, I bloom, I grow (I glow),” and while simple, the CALL ME WHEN YOU GET LOST artist has in fact been rocking, rolling, blooming, growing, and glowing for four years straight.

Quotable Lyrics

Ain’t nobody f*cking with T, but that just may be my ego
But don’t be too cool, you might freeze
Because n*ggas get stuck in the cold (Man, look at this ice)
Sh*t weighs a ton
Water your garden, my n*gga (Stunt on these n*ggas!)
Tell these black kids they could be who they are
Dye your hair blue, sh*t, I’ll do it too (What the f*ck?)

Abstract Mindstate Readies Their Kanye West-Produced Reunion Album With “A Wise Tale.”

Kanye West may be reenergizing the entire rap game by teasing the imminent release of his tenth studio album Donda, but it looks like his long-delayed project isn’t the only year-long promise that he’s following through on. As a bit of a refresher, Kanye previously tweeted a “YEEZY SOUND ROSTER PROPOSAL” on July 11, 2020, and the artists mentioned in his cryptic YZY SND endeavor were himself, CyHi da Prynce, Clipse, Tony Williams, North West, KC, and a veteran underground Chicago rap duo Abstract Mindstate — who actually gave Kanye one of the first major features in his career.

A full year later, Abstract Mindstate’s YZY SND debut, like the long-awaited Donda, is finally set to release. On August 6, the duo will come out of retirement to share Dreams Still Inspire, its first studio album in decades. To make matters even more exciting, it has been confirmed that Kanye West will fully produce Abstract Mindstate’s reunion album.

Those looking forward to hearing what Abstract Mindstate and Kanye West have cooked up for Dreams Still Inspire will definitely enjoy the album’s first single, titled “A Wise Tale.” As soulful as Common and Kanye’s mid-2000s collaborative efforts, Abstract Mindstate’s latest release is a two-and-a-half-minute track that places expert lyricism over an infectious soul sample.

Listen to “A Wise Tale” below and let us know if you’re looking forward to Abstract Mindstates’s Kanye West-produced YZY SND debut.

Quotable Lyrics

She got a secret, don’t know if she keep it
Don’t know why she hide it, guess it’s convenient
She like a zebra, two things at one time
It ain’t black and white when you’ve lived it a lifetime
She got a story, might be a fable
No categories, she don’t like labels
She like a loner, maybe she’s selfish
Something is fishy, but she don’t like shellfish

Lupe Fiasco Puts On A Rap Clinic With “Jean Grey”

Lupe Fiasco has had his hands full of late, having found himself embroiled in a heated disagreement with podcast co-host Royce Da 5’9″. And while it’s unclear as to whether or not the two lyricists will settle their differences in the battle rap arena, Lupe has opted to keep things moving with the release of a new Instagram freestyle titled “Jean Grey.”

“Eid Mubarak Gift To The Fans,” he captions, as he takes to Kali Uchis’ “Telepatía” and casually puts on a lyrical clinic. “I’m back to bass like he Derrick Hodge, say my prayers like I’m scared of God,” he raps. “In my backyard doing samurai moves, wearing pods / he’s kinda square and odd.” At this stage, it’s safe to say that rapping has become second nature to the martial-arts aficionado, and it’s always interesting to hear the new ways he approaches an instrumental.

Check out “Jean Grey” now, as shared on Lupe Fiasco’s Instagram page, and sound off if you’re down for a new album from the lyricist.
