Rod Wave & Lil Durk Celebrate The Victories On “Already Won”

There are few rappers in the game that can tug at heart strings the way that Rod Wave can. His ability to take his pain and turn it into anthemic records is part of the reason why he’s one of the hottest in the game right now. SoulFly became a massive commercial success that catapulted to the top of the Billboard 200, thanks to his loyal and dedicated fanbase.

On Friday, the rapper returned with the deluxe edition of the project including another eight songs. The rapper connects with Lil Durk on the song “Already Won” where they take a moment to flex on their exes and reflect on balancing fame and their personal relationships.

Lil Durk and Rod Wave previously worked alongside each other on The Voice Of The Heroes track, “Rich Off Pain.”

Quotable Lyrics
I’m on the road for a minute, some cities ain’t got no service
You know you already won, deep talks, you ain’t gotta be nervous
I text you late on the e-way, I found myself keep swervin’
I found myself off Perkys, I found myself keep purgin’

Tae Bae & Dreezy Connect On “B.B”

The Birkin Bag has been at the center of conversation over the past year and some change. While it has always been a status symbol, it’s certainly gained widespread popularity within the hip-hop community. Migos recently released a song called “Birkin” while Quavo partnered with Winners Circle Genetics to create a strain of weed named after the luxurious Hermes bag. Needless to say, Birkin Bags have been inspiring the masses over the years.

This week, rapper Tae Bae slid through with a brand new banger alongside Dreezy paying homage to Birkin Bags titled, “B.B.” The strip club friendly-anthem centers thumping bass as Tae Bae expresses his desire to spoil his woman with a Birkin Bag. Dreezy offers a much-needed perspective of a woman on the record.

Flee Lord And Roc Marciano Cook Up A Grimey New Track With “This What Ya Want?”

Flee Lord has been cooking up some dope music over the last few years and with Griselda behind him, there is no doubt he will continue to succeed in the immediate future. As of right now, Flee Lord is gearing up to release a brand new collaborative project with Roc Marciano called DELGADO. Roc is doing all of the production on the tape, and fans can expect it to come out on August 27th. To help promote the project, Flee Lord has just released a new single called “This What Ya Want?” and it is certainly what you would hope for from him and Roc Marciano.

The beat has a grimey feel that suits Flee Lord’s voice perfectly. The MC drops braggadocios bars and makes every syllable count as the instrumental progresses. Halfway through the song, we get a nice little beat change that drops the grimey aesthetics for something more soft and calm. Overall, this is the perfect teaser for Flee Lord’s new project, and we can’t wait to hear more on release day.

Quotable Lyrics:

Cuz my music reality, I don’t make music for clubs

I’m triple my 80, I’m blessed with the gift and the gat
Finna go have me a baby

Offset Jim Drops Off New Banger “Regular”

The West Coast has been thriving over the past few years but it hasn’t solely depended on the success of Los Angeles. While L.A. has been having a renaissance of sorts, places like Oakland continue to carve their own unique sound in hip-hop. Offset Jim has been a pivotal force in Oakland’s underground rap scene and he’s slowly been gaining national attention with each release. Though it’s been two years since he released his joint project with ALLBLACK, 22nd Ways, his profile has continued to boost with each single that he’s dropped since.

This week, Offset Jim slid through with a smooth new banger titled, “Regular.” Serving as the follow-up to “Face Card” with Kenny Beats, the latest single from the Oakland rapper finds him confidently popping his shit over smooth yet bouncy West Coast production.

Quotable Lyrics
I’m somewhere cooler, slow dancin’ in a mansion
Money long, trying to see how to expand it
Too much money, I’m thinkin’ how to get more
Count the hundreds on the table, let the 20s on the floor

Ever since dropping her very first single in 2016, Jamaican artist Shenseea has become a huge sensation in the reggae and dancehall world. Cautious Clay Shares New Single “Butterflies In August”

Cautious Clay has easily been one of the most promising new artist in R&B in the past few years. While he’s been putting out music since 2015, things began picking up for him in 2018. He’s collaborated alongside everyone from Khalid to Taylor Swift as a co-writer and co-producer on records but his true talents shined on their own with the release of his debut album, Deadpan Love which dropped last month.

Deadpan Love did provide more than enough records to soundtrack this summer but before the month closes out, he returned with an Amazon Original titled, “Butterflies In August.” The breezy new record finds Cautious Clay hitting an excellent falsetto over pretty guitar chords and hollow percussion.

Drakeo The Ruler Gets Disrespectful With New Diss Track “IngleWEIRD”

Drakeo the Ruler is one of the more unique voices coming out of Los Angeles right now and with each new release, fans rush to their phones to tap in. For months now, Drakeo has been beefing with artists like AzChike, as well as Rucci. In fact, Drakeo recently called out Boosie for doing a song with AzChike, which prompted a public response from the latter. Now, Drakeo is escalating the beef with a brand new diss track called “IngleWEIRD.”

With this new effort, Drakeo raps over some smooth production that features bouncy L.A. drums and some catchy piano melodies. From there, he unleashes a flurry of disrespectful bars that are addressed directly at AzChike and Rucci. The artist never puts his foot on the gas, and it makes for an unrelenting diss record that will most likely prompt some sort of response.

Megan Thee Stallion Is On Her Hot Girl Sh*t On “Tuned In Freestyle”

It looks like the return of Tina Snow is imminent. Following 2020’s Suga and the release of Megan Thee Stallion’s debut album, Good News, fans have been hoping that she’d come through with more bars. We know that she can effortlessly create a hit but she can also rap her ass off when she tries. “Southside Freestyle” and most recently, “Outta Town Freestyle” showed promising signs that we’d be hearing Meg showcase her bars more than her pop sensibilities in the near future.

On Sunday, Megan Thee Stallion came through to pop her shit on “Tuned In Freestyle.” Meg tackles an upbeat, electro-hop-inspired beat with braggadocious bars. “I ain’t nothin’ like none of these average hoes/ ‘Cause I f*ckin’ want to if they ask me why/ I’m from the Southside, n***as can’t make me cry,” she raps on the track.

SZA Drops Her Third Song Of The Day With “Nightbird”

Despite not releasing an album in over four years, SZA has been incredibly active today as she started the morning off with a new song on her secret SoundCloud called “Joni.” SZA then followed this up with a song called “I Hate You,” and now, she is back again with a third effort called “Nightbird.” For now, it seems like these songs are simply unused tracks from an upcoming album, although the mixes suggest that these are fully fleshed-out efforts.

As for the track “Nightbird,” SZA offers up some bouncy bass lines that contain your typical r&b vibes. From there, the singer laments about a failed relationship and the man that continues to do her wrong. With “Joni” and “I Hate You,” SZA is grappling with the breakup but on “Nightbird,” she seems completely fed up with it.

There is no telling whether or not these drops will lead to a new album, however, there is no doubt that she has her fans talking.

Stay the night
Even if it’s not for real
Stay the night
Only got you for a short time

SZA Unleashes Yet Another Song On SoundCloud In “I Hate You”

SZA is one of the most beloved r&b singers out right now although it has been a very long time since she gave fans an album. Back in 2017, she came through with CTRL which was easily one of the best projects of that year. Since then, fans have been patiently waiting, and now, all of that patience has paid off as SZA has begun releasing new tracks on her secret SoundCloud. This morning, we reported on her new track “Joni,” and now, she is back with another song called “I Hate You.”

In this song, we get some dark production that complements the singer’s voice perfectly. Throughout the track, she sings about a recent breakup and how she wishes things had played out differently. The song feels like a natural progression from her CTRL era and if you’re already a fan of the singer, then you are probably going to enjoy this new single.
