GRIP & Eminem Flex Shady Loyalty On “Walkthrough!”

Atlanta rapper GRIP recently joined Eminem’s Shady Records roster, and he wasted little time in making an impression with his new album I Died For This!? Though likely most effective when streamed from start to finish, given GRIP’s keen mind for building concepts and all, many fans probably queued up the Eminem-assisted “Walkthrough!” as a warm-up.

By now, it’s no secret that an Eminem feature encourages collaborators to bring their A-game, as the legendary Detroit emcee tends to go above and beyond when it comes to the bars. Luckily, GRIP is no slouch in that regard, and while his dexterous verse might not be as lengthy as Em’s closing statement, there’s enough impressive lyricism throughout to hold his own. By the time Eminem wraps up his own gargantuan contribution — ding-dong ditching Death’s Door and putting on for the Shady Records team in the process — it’s hard not to be excited about the boutique labels’ future.

Check out “Walkthrough!” now, and be sure to support GRIP’s I Died For This!? by checking it out right here.

Quotable Lyrics

That lyrical phenom misfit
Since I was a bleach blonde who hear the beat on
This bitch makes me only think of demonic shit
I was knockin’ on death’s door, I fucking ding-dong ditched it
don’t do that sing-song bitch shit
And I don’t use autotune, all I do is spit, and this shit just bothers you

Belly, The Weeknd, & Nas Roam Through Post-Apocalyptic “Die” Visual

It has only been a few hours since Belly released his John Landis-inspired project and fans are already buzzing about its features. The Canadian-bred rapper has returned with his third studio album See You Next Wednesday, a record that features Young Thug, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Uzi Vert, Big Sean, Nav, Benny The Butcher, and more. A stand-out that also received its own visual is Belly’s “Die,” a collaborative effort with The Weeknd that features memorable bars from none other than Nas.

The King’s Disease icon has been riding several career highs throughout 2020 and 2021, additions to his comfortably-sitting Rap legend status. The post-apocalyptic visual for “Die” is heavy on the subliminal imagery and fans of The Crow will certainly appreciate the nod.

Quotable Lyrics

I never tell, but you heard the stories
I can never tell, is this Heaven, Hell or purgatory? (What?)
Early mornin’ ain’t early for me, I’m losin’ sleep
Whole lot of sheep, I’ma count them each
But f*ck it, I been up late
I been gettin’ twisted, I been mixing up the love, hate
Swear this sh*t is glitchin’, I’ve been missin’ for a month straight

Babyface Ray, Big Sean, & Hit-Boy Team Up On “It Ain’t My Fault”

Detroit has collided this New Music Friday (August 27) and fans can’t get enough of it. Hit-Boy has been annihilating the charts with his collaborations, including his recent stellar work with Nas. As one of the most sought-after producers in the Hip Hop industry and beyond, it only makes sense that the 313’s Babyface Ray called on him for his new single, “It Ain’t My Fault.”

Adding Hit-Boy to a track would be strength in itself, but Ray asked Big Sean to do a little lyrical lightwork, as well. Ray was excited for the opportunity to work with the two artists and expressed his gratitude in a tweet. “Big Sean Detroit Legend and Hit Boy fresh off his 2nd Nas album I had a chance to work forever grateful god is good [wave emoji],” he said.

They delivered an accompanying music video as well to complement the track, so stream “It Ain’t My Fault” and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

It ain’t my fault you got your sh*t snatched
It ain’t my fault you ain’t have your money, go get your sh*t back
It ain’t my fault I drew the blueprint and I’m living that
Naomi Osaka, Serena, we serving and playing with big racks
Got the baddest face down, ass up

Young Thug Adds His Voice To Rich Gang’s “Blue Emerald”

A week after delivering his “Tick Tock” single in anticipation of his forthcoming Punk album, Young Thug is back with Rich Gang. This isn’t the first Rich Gang collaboration we’ve seen Thugger adhere himself to over the years and fans are happy to see the surprise reunion. This has also caused fans to plead for Thug and Rich Homie Quan to link up for another Rich Gang appearance, but we’ll have to wait and see if those YMCMB gods will answer the call.

On Friday (August 27), Rich Gang and Young Thug dropped off “Blue Emerald,” a track that arrived with a music video that showed the Young Stoner Life Records label head cruising around with Birdman. Of course, there are a few sexy video vixens who also make appearances, but fans were more excited to see Chris Brown show face in the clip.

20 years in the cage
20 years as a slave

Ecstasy liquor chase
Pay him or get the ease
Watching him plead his case
Spray em or get the cheese

Megan Thee Stallion Joins BTS On “Butter (Remix)”

After engaging in a little legal drama with her label, Megan Thee Stallion’s addition to BTS’s “Butter” single has arrived. The Houston rapper has been at odds with 1501 Entertainment for some time and the two entities have appeared in court over her music more than once. The label attempted to thwart the release of her debut studio album Good News but failed, and the same happened with this “Butter (Remix).”

This week, Megan and 1501 were back in court but thankfully for the rapper, she reigned victoriously and her Pop collaboration has reached the masses. Megan has solidified herself as a commanding force in the Rap game, but her collaborations with Pop artists like BTS and Maroon 5 have expanded to her brand, allowing her to not only reach new audiences but new heights.

Quotable Lyrics

Houston’s finest, in the room with bosses
Make ’em all get ratchet in they suits and blouses
I remember writing flows in my room in college
Now I need global entry to the shows I’m rocking (Yeah)
Smooth like cocoa butter
My drip more than a puddle

Meek Mill, Lil Durk, & Lil Baby Turn Up On “Sharing Locations”

Fans have been anticipating their trifecta collaboration for months, and after putting the finishing touches on what is poised to be a fan favorite, Meek Mill, Lil Durk, and Lil Baby’s single “Sharing Locations” has arrived. On the track, we find Philly, ATL, and Chi-Town uniting as the rappers trade bars about their bank accounts and street reputations, and it is clear that they wanted to draft an anthem-like single for their peers in the trenches.

Meek teased the track over on his Instagram page with a clip of the visual that shows the three artists flippantly dishing out cash as they pose with their stacks in front of a private jet. Their crews also make appearances as they all give their “money ain’t a thang” approach to living a life of luxury.

Stream “Sharing Locations” and let us know which artist you think came with the hardest bars.

I know for a fact I’m blastin’, man, I never get too worried
Hunnid racks and hunnids, they like curses, I been sellin’ verses
