Jasiah Grabs Travis Barker For “Right Now”

Jasiah is immaculate when it comes to bending genres. “Right Now” is no different. The young artist teams up with Travis Barker for this pop/punk/hip-hop mash-up that is ready-made for the radio. “Right Now” is a fun and energetic single that finds Jasiah singing about love and sex. The instrumental finds strength in the elated synths and, of course, Barker’s crisp percussions.

“[Lil Wayne] is the reason I even at 10 picked up a pen and tried to make raps, even if I was shitty at it,” stated Jashiah to XXL. This song definitely sounds like something on Wayne’s Rebirth project. Stream “Right Now” and let us know what you think below.

Quotable Lyrics
Bitch, it’s always ’bout the money, what the fuck? (What the fuck?)
You were always tryna run me out my love (Out my love)
I was downin’ all my problems out this cup (Out this cup)
That’s enough (That’s enough), that’s enough (That’s enough)

Kanye West Releases “Hurricane” In Its Final Form Ft. The Weeknd & Lil Baby

It’s been a long time coming but at the wee hours of the morning, Kanye West finally delivered his highly anticipated 10th studio, DONDA. Following three listening parties held in Atlanta and Chicago, the rapper’s made tweaks and adjusted the tracklist as fans continuously demand the album’s release. This morning, Kanye West finally unveiled the album in its final form including the highly anticipated single, “Hurricane” ft. The Weeknd and Lil Baby. The song includes production credits from BoogzDaBeast, DJ Khalil, Mike Dean, Ronny J, Ojivolta, and of course, Kanye West.

“Hurricane” became one of the most anticipated records on the album ever since Kanye and Lil Baby were spotted in the studio together. While it was Kaycyy Pluto who handled hook duties initially with the help of auto-tune, ‘Ye ultimately nabbed The Weeknd whose heavenly touch turned the demo into what could possibly be one of the biggest records of the year.

Check out “Hurricane” below.

Quotable Lyrics
Genius gone clueless, it’s a whole lot to risk
Alcohol anonymous, who’s the busiest loser?
Heated by the rumors, read into it too much
Fiendin’ for some true love, ask Kim, “What did you love?”
Hard to find what the truth is but the truth was that the truth suck
Always seem to do stuff, but this time it was too much

Kranium Taps Young T & Bugsey For “Life Of The Party”

Jamaican dancehall star Kranium has continued to deliver hit records every year and it feels like in the past few years, he’s made sure to bless the world with at least one summer smash. Last year, it was nearly impossible to go to any function (not that there were many to go to) without hearing “Gal Policy” which he later released with an additional verse from Tiwa Savage. Even after dropping 2019’s Midnight Sparks, he’s made sure to deliver a consistent stream of music.

On Friday, Kranium returned with a smash that’s bound to soundtrack the last bit of summer we have. He teamed up with “Don’t Rush” group Young T and Bugsey for his latest single, “Life Of The Party.”

Quotable Lyrics
Villa out in Cuba and it’s private that we flyin’ in
Rollie always on me, couldn’t tell you what the time is
Slow down for me, yeah she grindin’, she grindin’
Only pree mine, the Scrilla rise and rise

Project Youngin Drops Off “Love Don’t Love Nobody”

Florida’s Project Youngin has kept a steady stream of music on deck throughout the pandemic. Though things have fully opened up, the rapper’s delivered a slew of new music over the past few years and he continued to gain momentum. This week, he returned with another track titled, “Love Don’t Love Nobody.” His melodic delivery strikes pain over chilling piano keys as he details death and heartbreak. “Married to the street but even she ain’t treat me right/ Get real in that field, everyday you risk your life,” he raps on the track.

Project Youngin is still riding high off of the release of January’s Bigger Blessings featuring Pooh Shiesty, Hotboii, and more.

Check out his latest single, “Love Don’t Love Nobody” and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Quotable Lyrics
So much pain in my body, man the shit cuts deep
All these tears from my body, people lost in the streets
If I wasn’t who I was, would they be true to me?
‘Cause I do shit for people, I know they wouldn’t do for me

Kodak Black & Lil Baby Team Up For “Nobody”

Who hasn’t Kodak Black had friction with in recent times? Ever since Donald Trump got him out of prison, Kodak Black has been acting kind of frantic. He’s started feuds with several people and is currently in the midst of a back-and-forth with his day one, Jackboy. Earlier this year, he called out Lil Baby who he believed was jacking his style to a certain degree. Specifically, Kodak took issue with the fact that Lil Baby said that he invented the money spread.

Thankfully, the two have moved past their petty issues and connected for some new heat. On Kodak’s new project, Before The Album, he and Lil Baby connect for a certified banger called “Nobody.”

Quotable Lyrics
We been ridin’ round with all them sticks cause I don’t wanna die
You suppose to bе on top of shit, but you don’t wanna try

I was sacrificed for y’all to win, it damn near crucified me

Spinabenz Returns With Exciting New Banger “First Week Out”

Back in April, Spinabenz was able to attract the attention of fans with his now-viral diss song “Who I Smoke?” which featured a sample from Vanessa Carlton’s smash hit from the early 2000s. The song also featured Yungeen Ace and it prompted quite the reaction from those in the Jacksonville area. Since the release of that song, Spinabenz has been working on his craft, and now, he has arrived with a brand new single called “First Week Out.”

With this new effort, we get an upbeat track that sees Spinabenz rapping over piano melodies and rattling hi-hats. The artist speaks on the struggles that come with getting out of jail and having a monitor on your ankle. He also has some braggadocios bars that speak to his status amongst his peers. Overall, it’s a solid effort from the rapper and you can check it out, below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Mini, mini, micro Draco, match my shirt, it’s a designer stick
I think, my weakest ho badder than your finest bitch
I smoke expensive weed, I smoke all kinda shit
I just, I just, I just, left out the bank, I’m finna go buy shit

Grip & Royce Da 5’9″ Keep Their Swords Sharp On “Placebo”

The Eminem co-sign still holds weight. While Shady’s revamped the label in recent years with a few solid signings, this month, they announced the addition of Grip. The Shady Records artist has shown promising signs of his trajectory ahead, especially after hearing him swap bars with a few legends and hold his own while he’s at it.

On Friday, Grip unveiled his Shady Debut, I Died For This?! The project has received tons of praise after its release and Eminem even makes a rare cameo on the single, “Walkthrough!”

“Placebo” with Royce Da 5’9″ is another excellent showcasing of Grip’s lyrical prowess alongside the rap legend. With production handled by Beat Butcha and TU!, “Placebo” is split in two halves with Grip tackling the trap-tinged beat before it switches up into a grungy, 70s rock-inspired sample that Royce snaps over.

Quotable Lyrics
Melanin vibration indebted to God, gracious
They scared of Sanaa Lathan, genetic annihilation, uh
This ain’t what B.I.G. meant when he came and kicked in your door
New whip for n***s that walk, look rich for n***as that’s poor

Lil Tecca & Lil Yachty Team Up For Catchy New Track “BANK TELLER”

Lil Tecca has a knack for creating catchy songs. When he came out with “Ransom,” Tecca was quick to climb up the charts and with his first few projects, he was able to show off his songwriting ability, as well his penchant for picking strong beats that create a nice vibe. After a short break, Tecca is now back with We Love You Tecca 2, and there are some dope songs to choose from, including “BANK TELLER” with Lil Yachty.

With this track, we get some nice synths that create a nice summer vibe that fits Tecca’s voice perfectly. As for Lil Yachty, the two artists show a ton of chemistry, and they are a duo that could realistically put out a project together. Overall, it’s a solid effort from two artists who are at the top of their game.

Quotable Lyrics:

Paid a thousand for this cut, I need it even all around
I seen this shit go up for you, baby, now it’s fallin’ down (On God)
Told that bitch I be runnin’ my check up
Makin’ money, investin’ in Tesla (Tesla)
