Kacy Hill Offers Poetic And Melancholic New Single “Seasons Bloom”

Kacy Hill has been doing her thing for quite some time now and if you’re familiar with her work, then you know just how great of a singer she is. After appearing on Travis Scott’s “90210” all the way back in 2015, she has continued to release new music, and fans are always eager to hear what she’s been working on. This past week, Hill dropped her new song “Seasons Bloom” and it is yet another demonstration of her immense talent.

With this track, we get a melancholic intro that allows Hill to offer some poetic lyrics. Eventually, the song opens up into the chorus, which is where the production starts to get a bit brighter. These two contrasting vibes work in contrast with one another, and it makes for a nice song that has us yearning for more music from the singer.

You can stream the new track, below.

Quotable Lyrics:

It’s all the world that I could want
You make me feel like I’m alive
It’s all the world that I could want
Seasons bloomin’ in your arms

Kanye West Flips A Classic Lauryn Hill Sample For “Believe What I Say”

After a very hectic rollout, Kanye West finally blessed fans with DondaAlthough there are endless amazing tracks on this project, “Believe What I Say” is one of the few solo Ye tracks. Packed with features, Donda doesn’t give Kanye much room for solo music. “Believe What I Say” takes Lauryn Hill’s “That Thing” and flips it into a feel-good single for 2021.

“Believe What I Say” mixes the concepts of spirituality, relationships, and inner truth. A peaceful bass gives the core of this single some soul while the jumpy percussions make this track easy to dance to. We’re very curious how many hurdles Kanye had to jump through to clear this sample, or how much he paid for it. Stream “Believe What I Say” and let us know what you think below.

Quotable Lyrics
Celebrity drama that only Brad’ll know
Too many family secrets, somebody passin’ notes
Things I cried about, I found laughable
Lil’ baby Jesus, ain’t laughing, no
Don’t involve yourself in things they ain’t have to know
The big man upstairs ain’t laughin’, no

Westside Gunn Recruits Sauce Walka, Boldy James & Stove God Cooks On “Westheimer”

Hip-hop was blessed this week with a brand new album from Westside Gunn. Though known for his typical prolific output on a yearly basis, Gunn’s laid low throughout 2021 while Conway and Benny The Butcher have been relentlessly dropping heat over the past few months. On Friday, he unveiled Hitler Wears Hermes 8: Sincerely Adolf, largely showcasing Gunn’s stellar ear for curation.

HWH8 might put a spotlight on the budding talent within the Griselda camp but Gunn pairs them up with a few unexpected collaborators. On “Westheimer,” Gunn takes a backseat to allow Stove God Cooks and Boldy James to shine alongside Sauce Walka. The jazzy production fits the song’s celebratory theme surrounding money and Rolls Royce.

Stove God handles the first verse and hook duties while Boldy James sneaks in on the second verse. However, it’s Sauce Walka who came through with a glorious 16 to close out the record.

Check the record below.

Quotable Lyrics
When JAY-Z dropped “Ghetto Gospel”, I was chillin’ at the jeweler
Thank you, Hov, I could’ve signed to JAY-Z and been Roc-a-Fella
But I had four bitches clockin’ millions from steady rockin’ fellas
For lots of cheddar, all types of cheese, swiss, mozzarella

J Balvin & Tokischa Drop Off “Perra”

J Balvin is preparing the world for the release of his latest album. The Colombian artist comes through with “Perra” featuring Tokischa. The single is a dance/pop reggaeton banger that is sure to get your hips moving. The single is very different from “Que Locura,” which showcased the opposite side of Balvin’s creativity. Fans will surely be excited to get back to the booty-shaking bangers they are used to with “Perra.”

Along with the new single, J Balvin also announced his character skin return in Fortnite. The skin, with blue hair and his distinguishing tattoos, debuted last week with two variants: Skeleton Balvin, and Energia Balvin. Stream “Perra” below and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics
Yo soy una perra en calor
‘Toy buscando un perro pa’ quedarno’ pegao’
Ey, еres una perra en calor

Lil Zay Osama Returns With Menacing New Single “Danny Block”

Chicago artist Lil Zay Osama has been exciting fans with his new releases as of late and his menacing songs are always something to look forward to. He brings a lot of energy to each track and while his flows are sometimes lowkey, you can tell he means the words he’s spitting. On Friday, Lil Zay Osama got right back to it with a new track called “Danny Block” that will surely get his fanbase energized for more.

This new song is filled with some skeletal production that will impress you from the jump. As for Lil Zay Osama, he offers a menacing, cold, and nonchalant flow that details the life he leads. It’s the perfect single to give fans right now, and you can check it out, below.

Quotable Lyrics:

I just popped one of my opps
I’m finna go do another hit (I’m finna go do another hit)
I don’t givе a fuck ’bout this money
I just bought foe nem somе sticks (Bought foe nem some sticks)

Lil Tecca & NAV Create An Autotuned Odyssey On “ABOUT YOU”

Despite his young age, Lil Tecca has already proven to be a solid hitmaker in the industry, and with each new album, he impresses his fans with his summer vibes, catchy melodies, and solid hooks. On Friday, he dropped a brand new album in We Love You Tecca 2 and while most of the album is handled alone, he also has some features. One of those tracks is “ABOUT YOU” which contains the talents of Canadian artist NAV.

As you would come to expect from Tecca, this track has some upbeat production that contains trap drums and some nice melodies in the background. In the meantime, Tecca and NAV share autotuned verses that are both catchy and on topic. These two have collaborated in the past, and their chemistry remains strong.

Quotable Lyrics:

I could text them, yeah, I won’t text send
And I won’t love a thot, yeah, that’s what Tec said
All these dollar bills, turn ’em to my best friend
If I send ’em shooters, let ’em know who sent them, yeah

Kanye West & Jay-Z Reunite As The Throne On “Jail”

Finally, DONDA has arrived. Though it’s only been a matter of g since its release, the last month of anticipation and listening parties have indicated that it could possibly be one of Kanye’s best albums in a few years. The memes have largely summed up the fact that he’s brought out the Avengers of hip-hop, tapping a long list of collaborators to bring his 10th studio album to life.

The biggest shock from the album’s debut in late July was the reunion of The Throne on “Jail” — a song that has a similar drunken anthemic feel as “Runaway” (hot take, I know). Mike Dean’s warm guitar loop and analog feel bring the stadium-size presence of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy while Jay-Z declares the “return of The Throne.” Jay-Z also tells Kanye to “stop all that red cap” on his own song.

While Jay-Z apparently rushed to get the verse to ‘Ye on the afternoon of the first Atlanta listening party, fans were justifiably confused and frustrated that Kanye replaced him with DaBaby. On Thursday, Kanye appeared on stage with DaBaby and Marilyn Manson where he debuted “Jail Pt. 2.” The song, produced by 88 Keys, Dem Jointz, Ojivolta, Sean Solymar, and Kanye West, also includes writing credits from Marilyn Manson. There was reluctance within DaBaby’s camp to clear the verse but it seems to finally be popping up on the DONDA tracklist on Spotify and TIDAL.

Check out the OG version with Jay-Z below.

Quotable Lyrics
Hol’ up, Donda, I’m with your baby when I touch back road
Told him, “Stop all of that red cap, we goin’ home”
Not me with all of these sins, casting stones
This might be the return of The Throne
Hova and Yeezus, like Moses and Jesus
