Bhad Bhabie Takes Shots At Her Haters On “Miss Understood”

Bhad Bhabie is a controversial figure in the hip-hop world and that’s something that probably won’t ever change. From her days as a meme on Dr. Phil to a social media star, and now, to a rapper, Bhad Bhabie has always found ways to dominate the public discourse. When it comes to her music, Bhabie took a brief hiatus although now, she is back with a brand new song called “Miss Understood.”

This song sees Bhabie rapping over some smooth 808-heavy production that allows for her voice to take much of the shine. The artist can be heard spitting bars about her rise to fame, the haters she has amassed, and just how confident she is with her own being. In the future, the rapper will be coming through with a new EP, and “Miss Understood” serves as a solid lead single for the project.

You can stream it, down below.

Quotable Lyrics:

From the jet to the coupe, from the coupe to the booth
From the booth, to the shoot, to the show, I’m the truth
Paid a lot for the chain, kinda hard, knot the chains
That’s the parts of the fame, when they all know your name

DDG Spits Braggadocios Bars On His Smooth New Single “Rucci”

DDG has been upping his profile substantially as of late and his fans are taking notice. The artist made a name for himself on YouTube but at this point, it’s safe to say that most fans know him more from his music than his video output. He has had a consistent string of releases as of late, including his latest song which was released today, called “Rucci.”

On this new track, DDG opts to go with some stripped-back production as it’s his voice that commands the vast majority of the attention. Throughout the song, DDG goes with some fun word play and braggadocios bars that speak to his status, as well as his affinity for designer clothes. It’s yet another dope effort from the artist, and it can be streamed, below.

Karlae Celebrates Her Birthday With New Single “Sheesh”

Young Stoner Life Records has been having an incredible year, developing more of their artists and ensuring that they remain one of Atlanta’s premier hip-hop labels. Known for unity and family values, Young Thug’s group has ushered in the new generation of SlimeStars this year, with FN DaDealer, Yung Kayo, YTB Trench, Bslime, and others coming up. Other artists, like Karlae, have been with Thug for years, and she’s just now experiencing her blessings with one of the hottest records on the #1 album Slime Language 2, “I Like.”

During her latest interview with HNHH for our long-form piece about YSL Records, Karlae teased new music and new videos coming soon, and she’s just delivered on her promise, celebrating her birthday with the release of “Sheesh.”

The new single comes with a video, which shows the First Lady of Young Stoner Life dripping in diamonds, showing off her lyrical skills, and bringing the vibes.

“Sheesh is the reaction everyone gives after they’ve doubted you and you come back stronger,” said Karlae about the new single. “In the studio, I was in a bag and I wanted everyone in their bag. They think I’m the underdog, but I always end up on top.”

Quotable Lyrics:

Got it out the mud, I’m a beast
New Dior Jordan’s, I be steppin’, no crease
Whole gang with me, I ain’t worried ’bout beef
I just throw this ass back and they be like, “Sheesh”

Mozzy Puts In Work On “Tycoon”

Today, Cali rapper Mozzy came through and delivered his brand new album Untreated Trauma, itself a powerful statement in itself. With the entire project available to stream right here — featuring guest appearances from EST Gee, Babyface Ray, E. Mozzy, Kalan.FrFr, Celly Ru, and YFN Lucci — it feels appropriate to single out one of the solo highlights, “Tycoon.”

Over a vibey West coast instrumental, Mozzy lets fly a steady stream of rhymes. “Cussin out my bitch hardly ever sober,” he raps, over the off-kilter synthesizers. “I be cussin out my n***a he done sold the blower / Theodork, suckaz out her loafin’ we gon’ blow his motor / old-ass trey five-seven you got deserve a holster.”

It’s a simple and effective dose of hard-hitting bars from one of the West’s most consistent, so be sure to check out “Tycoon” right here and now.

Zombie Juice & Smoke DZA Hit The “VMA’s”

It’s been a minute since the Flatbush Zombies put in work as a united front, but that doesn’t mean they’ve been inactive on the musical tip. Today, Zombie Juice has come through with a new single — produced by fellow group-mate Erick The Architect — enlisting Smoke DZA for “VMA’s.”

Speaking on the track in a press release, Zombie Juice explained his motivation behind his latest single, maintaining that it was high time he received due credit. “MTV has nothing to do with it,” he states. “There’s no awards being giving out, but we deserve our flowers for our years of contributions in the cannabis and music industries.”

Be sure to give the man his props accordingly, and should you need a little nudge, look no further than the delightfully trippy duet from two solid and well-rounded emcees. Check out “VMA’s” now, and sound off with your appreciation for the Flatbush Zombies movement below.

It can get worse, enemies wreckin’ revenge
They’re comin’ next for your kind

Drakeo The Ruler 24kGoldn Team Up On “Spaceship”

It’s always interesting when two artists with contrasting styles link up on a track but when those styles come together right, it creates the perfect vibe and provides listeners with a little something for everyone. On “Spaceship” Los Angeles rapper Drakeo The Ruler and San Francisco native 24kGoldn teamed up to do just that, giving us a track combining vibes from Northern and Southern California.

Drakeo The Ruler, who was recently arrested in LA after his Uber driver was pulled over for having tinted windows, came through with a subdued, almost-sleepy flow and tough bars about what he had to do to make it while on the come up.

24kGoldn handled the hook, giving us a faster-paced melodic chorus with multiple mentions of 1942, continuing Don Julio’s run of being namedropped in what seems like every new hip-hop record the game has to offer.

“Spaceship” is a perfect end-of-summer/beginning-of-fall record and the only glaring issue is its play time, clocking in at just two minutes.

Stream “Spaceship” below and let us know what you think of the record in the comments.

Russ Drops Another One With “When This Was All New”

Love him or hate him, Russ has built himself up into a genuine success story. No stranger to performing his vast catalog to thousands upon thousands of adoring fans, Russ has once again delivered a new addition to his repertoire. This time, he’s tapping into his melancholic eighties bag with “When This Was New,” a vibey new drop that paints a bittersweet picture of fading passion.

Though it’s not quite so heavy on the bars as some of his material, Russ makes sure to keep himself sharp with a slick verse — though in reality, it’s the melodic sections that steal the show, effectively capturing his inner conflict. Fans of the once-declared Soundcloud King will likely vibe with “When This Was New,” and who knows — perhaps it might even signal a new style for the versatile artist.

Quotable Lyrics

Here I go, tryna do the most
Emotional damage, the bandaid’s a boat or a Ghost
Yeah, I know that our problems are deeper than that
But you fucked up too though, I ease to the back
Just to peep where you at, let me see how you act

Lakeyah & Tee Grizzley Snap On “313-414”

Quality Control’s Lakeyah has come through with some new music, teaming up with Tee Grizzley and DJ Drama for “313-414.” The track is exactly what you might expect given the talent involved, and that’s far from a negative. The moment the Reuel-laced piano beat hits, DJ Drama promises a voyage from “Milwaulkee to the D,” though Lakeyah and Grizzley’s stylistic chemistry seems to go beyond regionalism.

Lyrically, both parties are sitting comfortably in “talk your shit” territory, as Lakeyah pledges to spend “100k on ice for the hell of it.” Tagging in effortlessly, Grizzley warns those looking to test him that he’s got “n***as that been killing since the ’90s right here by me.” From there, the pair continue letting fly aggressive rhymes, all while DJ Drama keeps the hype rolling like only he can.

Check out “313-414” now, and sound off if you want to see some more music from Lakeyah.

Quotable Lyrics

You can do anything in life ‘cept for try me
I got ni**as that been killing since the ’90s right here by me
See the police and fly by ’em
Y’all can’t catch us, don’t even try it

D Smoke & SiR Rep Family Ties On “Common Sense”

D Smoke and SiR, two brothers with immense musical talent, are no strangers to collaboration. Today, the pair have come through with another one for the books in “Common Sense,” a single presumably designed for D Smoke’s upcoming album. The song clocks in at over five minutes, ample space for Smoke and SiR to stretch their legs and make their respective presence felt.

For the most part, the instrumental remains consistent throughout, a steady drum-beat enhanced by a lush, jazzy arrangement. D Smoke opens things up with a verse at the onset, transitioning into a soulful melodic display from SiR. For the most part, however, the bulk of the song’s runtime consists of an atmospheric horn section — one that somehow manages to be both soothing and frantic at once.

It’s the exact sort of bold musicality that makes D Smoke such a refreshing presence in the game, and we’re eagerly awaiting to see what he cooks up on his next album. Check out “Common Sense” now.

Quotable Lyrics

What if what you believe don’t agree with what you perceive
On a beach with bikinis, butt shots and lust
Havin’ trust is a reach like Abdul Kareem
Life on your heels, a pair of Louboutins
Louboutins make good fuel for things
