Bankrol Hayden & Lil Tecca Link For Smooth New Single “Come Through”

Bankrol Hayden has been making waves on the internet recently, flicking up with the ever-popular Adin Ross and dropping the “Cabo” remix with DDG three weeks ago. And after enlisting the likes of Lil Baby and Polo G for his 2020 single, “Pain Is Temporary,” the 19-year-old rapper has made some headway in rap game as well.

On his new single, “Come Through” with “Ransom” rapper Lil Tecca, Bankrol Hayden flexes his ability to mix bars and melody in an attempt to get someone special to slide to wherever he’s at.

Over a flute-inspired instrumental, Hayden and Tecca trade verses about driving in the Wraith, popping designer tags and sipping on 1942, the rap game’s current most popular tequila. (Thank you, Don Julio.) Hayden spits a catchy hook that bounces over the beat and ends each rendition with one simple statement: “Baby, come through.”

Despite the simplicity of the record, this is one that’s fun enough to keep it spinning for a while and short enough to get all the lyrics memorized in no time.

Quotable Lyrics
You a boss b*tch so put your winning over losses
33 and Larry Bird got green like I’m Boston
Beat it up, beat it she told me beat it like it’s boxing
I got gang ties from Modesto out to Stockton

Run The Jewels Adds Lil Wayne To “RTJ4” Standout Track “Ooh La La”

Run The Jewels just unleashed the 24-track deluxe edition of their acclaimed 2020 album RTJ4, and of all of the new tracks added to the project, the one that stands out the most is the Lil Wayne-assisted remix of “ooh la la.” Wayne’s appearance on RTJ4 (Deluxe Edition) marks the Young Money rapper’s latest offering in his scorching feature run this year, following impressive verses on DaBaby’s “Lonely,” Logic’s “No Pressure,” Drake’s “You Only Live Twice,” Moneybagg Yo’s “Wokesha (Remix),” and more.

For the “ooh la la” remix, Wayne kicks things off with a sing-songy approach that almost feels reminiscent of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and once his verse is fully underway, Weezy does his thing with effortless, tongue-twisting bars and cheeky bars that reference his esteemed collaborators.

Listen to the Lil Wayne-assisted remix of Run The Jewels’ RTJ4 standout track “ooh la la” below, and listen to the newly released RTJ4 (Deluxe Edition) here.

Quotable Lyrics

Kill a mic like El-P and Killer Mike, feeling like
DJ Premier, it’s my world premiere tonight, feeling right
Hair trigger softer than a pillow fight
No computer but this MAC got more shots than gigabytes
Bigger teeth, bigger bite, bigger holes in the wall
Money tall, ego small, blunt is long as a log
Mask is off, nothin’ to lose, classy God, Sunday school
Run up a check and run your mouth
We run you down
Run The Jewеls

Krizz Kaliko & T-Pain Get It Popping With BB (Birthday B*tch)

Krizz Kaliko and T-Pain are not new to the rap game. At 47 and 36, the pair has been around the block.

But on their new single, “BB (Birthday B*tch),” Kaliko and Pain turn back the clocks with a club banger meant to celebrate a legendary 21st birthday.

Over an instrumental sure to bring listeners right back to T-Pain’s mid-2000s club records, Kaliko gets things started with a verse setting the scene for what is sure to be somebody’s crazy 21st birthday. And after an electronic and echo-y hook, T-Pain does exactly what T-Pain does: the Florida rapper spits a verse that paints a picture so vivid you can practically see exactly where he’s at in the club or, in this case, where he’s at (and who he’s with) after the club.

At a combined 83-years-old, this type of record isn’t exactly what fans expected from Kaliko and Pain, but “BB” is a pleasant surprise that provides more nostalgia than anything. T-Pain and club bangers go hand-in-hand and, after a stretch that included Pain’s revelation that Usher said he “f**ked up music,” it’s nice to hear the autotuned crooner back in his bag.

Quotable Lyrics
My shawty made it 20 laps around the sun
At 12 o’clock it’s ’bout to be 21
At 1 o’clock everybody gon’ have to come off that
And she’ll be coming ’round the corner when she come to my bed

G-Eazy Links With YG For “Instructions”

The one they call Young Gerald has returned with a brand new album, These Things Happen Tooarriving in full nineteen-song glory. And while longtime fans of G-Eazy have probably already taken the plunge, what better way to convince the hesitant than a full-fledged banger between two West Coast vets. Enter “Instructions,” a duet that brings YG into the mix over production by Romano, OG Parker & Hitmaka.

With a song like this, lyrical content isn’t quite the main objective. Pure swagger, however, is the name of the game. Luckily, both parties are well covered in that department, as G makes it known he’s a “real life fly-ass gringo” with a slick Bay Area flow. As for YG, he makes sure to offer a few life lessons ranging from the romantic (“When you in some good pussy, it feel like you in a oven”) to the combative (“4Hunnid don’t play, you should know that”). It’s all about duality, is it not?

Check out G-Eazy and YG’s “Instructions” now, and sound off if you’ve been bumping These Things Happen Too.

Quotable Lyrics

Tapped in with my bro Hit, I seen him, I said, “What up?”
Late nights, I’m a vampire, I’m staying up ’til sun up
Heard the beat, my first thought is, “I’m bout to beat this the fuck up”

Lupe Fiasco Pays Homage To Dick Gregory With “Big Energy”

With his upcoming album set to be released whenever he sees fit, Lupe Fiasco has kept the streak of new music going with the arrival of “Big Energy,” a song from The One And Only Dick Gregory soundtrack. For this one, Lupe draws directly from the source, paying homage to the late comedian and civil rights activist Dick Gregory in his opening lines. “Portrait of Dick Gregory, the myth allegedly,” he raps. “Mister, you gotta listen to this shit carefully.”

From there, he brings listeners into his interpretation of Gregory’s world, vividly capturing the electricity of a stand-up comedy performance before getting truly biographical. “Bout to get heavy, hope you’re ready, go get your neck brace,” he warns. “I’ll try to fit his entire life inside your headspace.” And that he does, deftly tackling the weight of the subject matter with a historian’s attention to detail.

Be sure to check out “Big Energy,” an ode to Dick Gregory’s legacy, right now.

Blueface Spits In Spanish On Eladio Carrión & Jon Z Assisted “B!TCH#S”

Blueface is no stranger to brash lyrics and disrespectful sentiments.

Known for his wild raps and even more wild social media antics, the LA rapper, recently faced with assault charges after allegedly beating up a club bouncer, has made a name for himself seemingly saying, and doing, anything he pleases.

On his new single, “B!TCH#S,” the 24-year-old enlisted Latin Grammy Award-winning trap artist Eladio Carrión and Puerto Rican rapper, singer and producer to express his affinity for “b!tch#s.”

Rapping the word “b*tches” what feels like a thousand times in just under four minutes, the “Thotiana” rapper finds himself iced out in Puerto Rico, surrounded by women, eating wings and rapping about Jada Pinkett-Smith. Between the Carrión provided hooks and Jon Z closing verse, Blueface switches gears and spits a verse in Spanish, a nod to both featured artists.

“B!TCH#S” comes with full visuals as well, depicting Blueface, Carrión and Jon Z doing their thing in front of the bar, on the beach and, in the final scene, in a psychedelic hottub situation.

Quotable Lyrics
Blueface, made me fly a b*tch and her baby
Her baby daddy hatin’ we just landed in Haiti
And a group full of groupies
Salute me or shoot me

Westside Gunn & Jay Electroncia Spit Bars On “Free Kutter”

Westside Gunn has officially ushered in the end of an era, bringing his expansive Hitler Wears Hermes to an official close with Side B of Hitler Wears Hermes 8. Like its counterpart Side Athis latest project features a stacked roster of guest appearances, a testament to Gunn’s mastery of curation. Though there are plenty of gems throughout, it’s hard not to be excited about a new verse from Jay Electronica, given how rare they are in this day and age.

On “Free Kutter,” the production from Jay Versace is at one low-key and soothingly jazzy. Gunn continues to prove that he’s capable of going toe-to-toe with the elites, his stream-of-consciousness flow always calculated even when seemingly sloppy. There are plenty of vividly rendered violent bars throughout, and the sheer glee he exhibits spitting them makes him an engaging emcee.

Playing his wingman here is Electronica, whose reputation as a top-tier lyricist is well documented. Contrasting nicely with Gunn’s frantic cadence, Jay’s self-assured and laid-back approach allows his blows to land with full impact; he even takes a moment to try out the iconic Griselda ad-libs for himself, making this one feel like a genuine collaboration fueled by mutual respect.

Check out “Free Kutter” now, and be sure to give Hitler Wears Hermes: Side B a listen right here.

Quotable Lyrics

If Allah shine, Kutter gon’ shine, it’s mathematical
Peace God, keep your head up on your sabbatical
Jay Elect, Griselda, done finally entered the chat
With that “skrrt, do-do-do-do” all over the tracks
Spitting actual facts soon as the originator was black
From Buffalo to Tupelo we tryna break from the trap

YoungBoy Never Broke Again Slides On “Smoke Strong”

YoungBoy Never Broke Again is very likely about to go platinum with zero features. The Baton Rouge-raised rapper is one of the most popular artists in the country, and with Birdman and Master P continually calling him the next face of rap, the 21-year-old has steadily continued his takeover, albeit from behind bars. He’s been locked up for the last six months, but YoungBoy managed to put together his latest studio album from jail, dropping Sincerely, Kentrell on Thursday night to much fanfare.

Already, the album has been performing well on digital streaming platforms, and it looks like it will become the latest massive success in YoungBoy’s growing catalog. One of the early highlights from the album is “Smoke Strong,” which appears fourth on the tracklist.

The song follows a similar formula to some of YoungBoy’s most popular songs, focusing on the rapper’s love for cannabis, claiming that he smokes all day long, and only the best.

Quotable Lyrics:

Back up in that Nawfside, city known as Jigga City
My people see me outside, four-deep in that Honda Civic
Try to speak, don’t even waste time ’cause they know right now I’m on business
Bought that stolo right from Mr. Ratchet
Broke with nothin’ ’cause ain’t catch nothin’ up in it

50 Cent, Moneybagg Yo, & Snoop Dogg Unite For “BMF” Theme “Wish Me Luck”

It’s rare to see new music from 50 Cent, but you can bet that he’ll be playing a role in the theme song of whatever new series he’s been working on. This time, it’s BMF, which premieres this coming Sunday on Starz. Kicking off each episode will be “Wish Me Luck,” the new theme song featuring Fif, Snoop Dogg, Moneybagg Yo, and Charlie Wilson — officially available now.

It’s no surprise that the song carries plenty of gravitas, given the subject matter on which the series is based. Moneybagg Yo opens things up with some reflective bars, transitioning into a smooth chorus from Charlie Wilson. 50 holds it down with the second verse, immersing himself in the story he’s determined to tell. “I’m riding with the top down, trunk full of Yola, ghetto pharmaceuticals I move that Coca-Cola,” he raps. Snoop — who is also set to star in the upcoming series — closes the track with a spirited performance, effectively capturing the BMF spirit with a slick flow.

Get used to “Wish Me Luck,” as it’s set to be the theme song to BMF for the duration of its run. Check it out now, and look for the series to premiere this Sunday on Starz.

Quotable Lyrics

I’m riding with the top down, trunk full of Yola,
Ghetto pharmaceuticals I move that Coca-Cola
Thousand-grams of puritol, I fuck with the weirdos
They snort away the pain, bang the dope in they veins

Remble & Lil Yachty Team Up On “Rocc Climbing”

Since Remble dropped his “Gordon R Freestyle” earlier in 2021, his unique combination of super aggressive bars spit in a spoken-word flow has taken rap fans by storm. Following “Gordon R Freestyle” with “Touchable,” the first track of his July release IT’S REMBLE, the rising L.A. rapper has carved out a niche for himself and has been gaining popularity by the day.

Coming back last night to drop “Rocc Climbing” with Atlanta rapper Lil Yachty, Remble gives us an effortlessly confident and catchy new single with both lighthearted flexes and menacing roasts.

Remble and Yachty tip-toe over a gentle piano and thumping 808s, dropping quotables left and right. Both rappers come with nonchalant flows with lyrics that make you listen to every word. Predominantly talking about girls, guns and their lavish lifestyle, the pair perfectly mesh hard raps with humor and, in the record’s visuals, Remble and Yachty ensure listeners know all they need to flex like this and rap like that is a studio and their homies around them.

Quotable Lyrics
Messed around and got richer than my
Putting safes in sleeper holds like I’m Roddy Piper
Cashed my money in the bank, then won all my titles
Yeah I’m happy with my girl but I want Blac Chyna
