Kali Uchis Joins Mura Masa On “blessing me (Remix)” Ft. Skillibeng & Pa Salieu

Mura Masa is revving up for the release of his forthcoming album, demon time. Over the past few months, Mura Masa’s unloaded a handful of singles that have built up anticipation. He teamed up with Lil Uzi Vert for “bbycakes” before calling on Shygirl and Channel Tres for “hollaback bitch.” The one song that’s really had steady rotation in recent times is Mura Masa’s collab with British-Gambian star Pa Salieu and dancehall’s next-up Skillibeng on “Blessing Me.” However, before the project’s release, Mura Masa came through with a brand new remix of the record with an additional verse from Kali Uchis. The Virginia-born singer dazzles the record with a verse that splits between English and Spanish lyrics.

Check out the remix below and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

The LOX Bodies Classic Public Enemy Production On “Terminator LOX”

The LOX reminded fans in 2021 that they aren’t the ones to mess with on the mic. Their iconic performance at Verzuz with Dipset put the spotlight back on The LOX as a whole. Jadakiss and Styles P has continued to share new solo music since then but this week, they came through with a new freestyle. Sheek, Jada, and Styles delivered “Terminator LOX” over the weekend. The hard-hitting freestyle finds the three rappers tackling Public Enemy’s “Terminator X To The Edge Of Panic” with ease. The record kicks off with Sheek Louch warming up the track before passing the mic to Jadakiss and Styles P, who closes out the record.

YG Brings New “Toxic” Single To “A COLORS SHOW”: Watch

One of the many new arrivals to hit streamers this weekend was YG’s Mary J. Blige-sampling single, “Toxic,” on which the California rapper appears to be sharing a message for any of the side-chicks out there.

Along with the single’s arrival, the 32-year-old dropped off an accompanying music video with controversial model Brittany Renner, whom he emulates a happy, loving relationship with (not without his fill of something on the side, though).

“I know what she want, she want what’s inside my jeans / She want my heart with the lock, she wanna throw away the key,” he begins on the first verse. “She make love, she will get f*cked, gang, gang, got her throwin’ up Bs / She like, ‘Boy, don’t do me wrong, just Birc’ and Prada me.’”

Stream Nipsey Hussle’s “Love” To Commemorate What Would’ve Been His 37th Birthday

Today (August 15), would’ve been Nipsey Hussle’s 37th birthday, and though the rapper is no longer with us, his friends, fans, and family continue to carry his legacy on.

Before his untimely death, Nipsey delivered projects like Bullets Ain’t Got No Name Vol. 1 2Mailbox Money, and No Pressure, but today, we’ve selected a song from one of his earlier works – The Marathon – to spotlight in honour of what was meant to be a special day for the late father of two.

“Pioneered the transition from this Crippin’ wasn’t easy n*gga, but I mastered it / That’s why I still deliver raps so passionate,” the California native brags over the beat. “Built my own lane, ain’t no n*gga ever hand me shit / Slauson Avenue, do you understand the averages? / The fact I’m still standing speaks volumes to my savages.”

Earlier today, Nipsey’s partner, Lauren London, paid tribute to her man while he was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – read more about that here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more hip-hop news updates.

RIP Nipsey Hussle.

Chief Keef Drops High-Intensity “Chief So”

Chief Keef remains a huge figure in hip-hop. A couple months ago, his name trended on Twitter as fans debated the most influential rapper of all time. After the accolades, Keef went on to launch his own record label, 43B, and brought on Lil Gnar as its first signee.

Now Sosa released a new single, his first on the label, and it doesn’t disappoint. The nearly five-minute “Chief So” finds Keef in fine form, as he addresses all the haters who “wish Chief So was dead.” The beat has all the intensity of his subject matter: arpeggiating strings repeat over and over, pulsating over a massive 808. Near the end of the single, Keef’s delivery become more urgent. He begins to growl his bars, which are put through an echo to create a cacophony that meld into the instrumental.

Check out “Chief So” below, and let us know what you think of it in the comments.

Quotable Lyrics

Chief So pulled up in a beast when that b***h go growl

Megan Thee Stallion Collabs With Pooh Shiesty On “Who Me”

This past Friday (August 12), Megan Thee Stallion dropped her album, TraumazineEquipped with 18 songs, the project included features from artists like Key Glock, Latto, Lucky Daye, Jhené Aiko, and many other talents. She also collaborated with a rapper who was on the rise before he got locked up– Pooh Shiesty.

Together, the two worked to produce the eighth song on the project, “Who Me.” Produced by KTOE, a 23-year-old Toronto native, the beat was filled with bass and ringing sounds, making it distinct from the other records. Seconds after the song started, Megan hit the ground running with one of her most memorable adlibs, “Real hot girl sh*t.”

Right away, she went into her verse, rapping about her riches, sex life, and the incident that changed the course of her career. “I feel Biggie/Who shot you? But everybody know who shot me, b*tch,” the H-Town hottie said in reference to the ongoing trial between her and Tory Lanez. Without diving too deeply into it, though, her next line was, “Now let’s stop speaking on that topic/Look at this new sh*t on my wrist.”

After she finished, the Memphis native came in, speaking about a plethora of topics ranging from his type of women to catching opps. Stream the record below.

But she keep pink polish up on her fett
Knew she was locked in

The Game & Fivio Foreign Put The Drill In “Burnin’ Checks”

The Game’s long-awaited album Drillmatic: Heart vs. Mind has finally arrived. Fans have been busy dissecting the whopping 30-song track list, as fans of Game’s enemies have been quick to mock him. The Game’s certainly made a stir in the lead-up to the album drop. He kept up his beef with Eminem by commenting on the Detroit rapper’s daughter’s bikini pictures on Facebook, and he and 50 Cent continued to trade barbs.

Luckily, the music can finally speak for itself. On the second track off of the new album, Game teams up with Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign to deliver a Drill banger. The song focuses on repping New York by any means necessary. It opens with a clip from Eazy-E, who says, “Everybody from New York, rappin’ about my Adidas, and my chain, this, and this, and South Bronx and everything. I wanted to put my city on the map.” Game also sets his sights beyond the East Coast, at one point rapping, “If I said I’m the king of New York, you’d be mad? / If I said I’m the king of L.A., you’d be mad?” Fivio serves as the ideal addition to the track, devouring the Drill beat with ease.
