Red Cafe & Benny The Butcher Stash The “Drug Money”

Red Cafe has come through with a hard-hitting new track “Drug Money,” and for the occasion he’s opted to link up with Benny The Butcher. Understandable, as Benny has proven himself to be a man to hire when one wants to get something done. Here is no exception, as it quickly becomes clear that this is a topic both parties hold close to heart.

Over a tense piano-driven instrumental, Red Cafe sets it off with some g’d up bars, providing a slight window into his lifestyle though never failing to keep a distance. The Butcher picks up where Red left off, establishing his own reputation despite the fact that it precedes him. “I’m Eastside Buff’s most wanted when come to crime,” he spits. “Counting money while I watch Scarface for the hundredth time.”

Chase B Recruits Babyface Ray, Zona Man, & GT For “365”

Chase B is living out a dream, working his days as an in-demand hip-hop producer and closing out his nights as Travis Scott’s official DJ. The Houston-born musician is well-known for being one of the most called-on tastemakers. Last year, he released a couple of club-shaking tracks, including “For Me” with OMB Bloodbath and KenTheMan, establishing himself as one of Houston’s hottest names in music. While much of his work has been with La Flame, Chase B returned with his latest single this week, calling on a couple of Detroit rappers, and a Chicago mainstay, for “365.”

The new single from Chase B features Babyface Ray, Zona Man, and GT. It was released alongside a hockey-themed music video, directed by Joseph Desrosiers, which shows the artists breaking into an empty arena for some fun on their ice skates. This one comes just weeks after Chase B earned his third nomination for Best DJ at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

Lonr. & Coi Leray Are Ready For Cuffing Season On New Track “CUFFIN”

Following the success of his debut EP last year, Lonr. has finally returned this week with the release of Land Of Nothing Real 2. The eight-track project is a compelling, 21-minute effort that demonstrates the Los Angeles artist’s versatility, and it features contributions from Yung Bleu and Coi Leray, the latter of which has the potential to be one of Lonr.’s biggest tracks yet.

Titled “CUFFIN,” Lonr.’s highly anticipated Coi Leray collaboration has arrived right in time for cuffing season, and the smooth, slow-paced track finds both artists singing about their desire to get intimate with their respective love interests.

Dom Kennedy Lights Up On “Rollin Papers”

Dom Kennedy has been doing his thing for a minute now, and today the stalwart lyricist has returned with a new single “Rollin Papers.” As suggested by the title, Dom is coming through with some weed-fueled vibes on this one, sliding over the beat with no shortage of solid bars.

Part of the appeal of this latest drop is hearing the way Dom dives deep into reflection without dumbing it down, inviting listeners to follow him down the THC rabbit hole. “I got back at them n***as I had beef with,” he raps, over the whimsical and nostalgic production. “I fucked all of them girls you wanted to give a cheque / I’m from the Regan era, I dress to impress / I got stripes like I played for the Mets.”

Check out Dom Kennedy’s new single “Rollin Papers” now, and sound off if you’d welcome a new project from the rapper.

Lil Wayne Recreates His Iconic 2012 Deposition In The “Feelin’ Like Tunechi” Video

Less than one full year after teaming up with NBA YoungBoy for the joint album Nobody Safe, Rich the Kid is back with an even more high-profile collaborative album with Lil Wayne. Titled Trust Fund Babiesthe seemingly left-field project hit streaming services on Friday, and while many fans likely didn’t know what to expect when going into it, the early reception to Lil Wayne and Rich the Kid’s new album suggests that they may have a hit on their hands.

As you can see below, even DJ Khaled is a fan of Trust Fund Babies.

“Feelin’ Like Tunechi,” serves as an amazing start to the 10-track project, and the song finds both Wayne and Rich the Kid giving each other props over lively Latin-inspired production from TheLabCook. “Feelin’ Like Tunechi” is also the first song from Trust Fund Babies to get a proper video treatment, and longtime fans of Weezy will definitely find some humor in it.

Right before Lil Wayne performs his verse, the video cuts out to a recreation of the Carter V artist’s iconic 2012 deposition, in which he hilariously dodged questions from Quincy Jones III’s lawyer Peter Ross.

In all of the leaked footage from the deposition, Wayne looks extremely annoyed, and in addition to nearly threatening Ross at one point, he also made a point to reveal that he performed at a “bad-ass bitch birthday party.” According to Lil Wayne, she was “crazy, stupid thick.” Funny enough, that unorthodox exchange was spoofed for in Rich the Kid and Wayne’s new music video.

Watch “Feelin’ Like Tunechi” below and check out the rest of Trust Fund Babies here.

Quotable Lyrics

Yeah, cause the bullet be drippin’ like snot from a snub nose
I’m aimin’ right to your heart like a love note
I told you right from the start, from the front door
I told her right from the pump, it’s a gun show

Asher Roth Reflects On His Career With “All Add Up

Asher Roth has returned once again, continuing his comeback with the release of the new single “All Add Up.” For the occasion, Roth queues up a soulful boom-bap beat, a fitting backdrop for reflections on his career, best memories, and current priorities.

Fans of the veteran rapper, who first caught mainstream attention with the release of his “I Love College” track, will no doubt appreciate the deeper perspective into Asher’s headspace. I thought we was done, for real, it was over with, the setting of the sun, maybe I’m too old for this,” he ponders. “Recording, touring, shows, photographs are showing it.” It’s an interesting ride throughout, and though Asher may not have the same philosophies he once held, he’s certainly appreciative of the memories he’s built along the way.

Check out “All Add Up” now, and sound off if you’re still riding with Asher Roth.

Quotable Lyrics

Don’t you know that passion isn’t stacking up the memories?
The XXL, you was on the front page
The MSG, you was on that summer stage
That was dope, all the European shows
Doing front flips with Mac in Norway with Steve Aoki
Mos Def with Magic, playing Magic and Madden

Problem & Snoop Dogg Connect For “Dim My Light”

West Coast fan favorite Problem has come through with a brand new single, and he’s made sure to enlist the legendary Snoop Dogg for the occasion. The new track “Dim My Light” features a beat that’s sure to delight Los Angeles rappers across the board, a clean blend of bass and stabbing orchestral hit; in fact, it almost feels like producer Audio Anthem drew inspiration from some classic Dr. Dre.

In that sense, Snoop Dogg is no stranger to floating over instrumentals like this — nor is Problem, who picks up where the Doggfather leaves off and whips up a few words of advice. “I wanna help, I really, really, really do,” he declares. “I been watching for a while and hustling ain’t really you / so brodie do yourself a favor, find yourself something to do.”

Check out the new collab from Snoop and Problem now, and sound off if you’d be interested in a new album from the Compton emcee.

Quotable Lyrics

I wanna help, I really, really, really do
I been watching for a while and hustling ain’t really you
So brodie do yourself a favor, find yourself something to do

“Queens” TV Supergroup With Eve, Brand, & More Drop “Nasty Girl”

ABC is getting ready to premiere the new drama series QUEENS on October 19th, which centers around a hip-hop supergroup comprised of four female rappers (played by Eve, Brandy, Naturi Naughton, and Nadine Velazquez) who decide to reunite in their forties for another go-around. In true immersive fashion — not to mention a clever bit of viral marketing — the fictional group has come through with their lead single “Nasty Girl.”

The track itself is a nostalgic breath of fresh air, and it’s genuinely refreshing to hear the Ruff Ryders legend Eve spitting a verse once again. But if early consensus is anything to go by, it’s Brandy — or her alter ego Xplicit Lyrics — who really steals the show. While Queens aren’t technically a supergroup in the traditional sense, being that they’re playing roles in a series — the commitment that each party shows in “Nasty Girl” bodes well for the series when it drops in a few weeks.

Quotable Lyrics

This is embarassin’, mass murder harassment, I’m the advocate
No one can fathom this nasty bitch flow with the arrogance
Lyrical cynical savage, visuals plain scriptures
And my mystique is Mona Lisa in faded pictures

Meek Mill Flips A Nas Classic On “Intro (Hate On Me)”

Meek Mill has officially dropped off his new album Expensive Pain, and as fans have come to understand, the Philly rapper has somewhat of a penchant for hard-hitting intro tracks. On this latest drop, Meek carries on the tradition on “Intro (Hate On Me)”, which finds him looking to the past and flipping the iconic instrumental from Nas and Diddy’s “Hate Me Now.”

After an eerie instrumental introduction, Meek comes out swinging over the familiar sample, letting fly a caffeinated flow that calls back to his mixtape energy. There’s a palpable sense of hunger in Meek’s delivery, and his bars defiantly challenge those with the audacity to send hateful thoughts in his direction. “I’m on a yacht with a bad thot, we got the streets in a headlock,” he raps. “Ni**a tried to peep through the backyard, all he seen was the choppas and red dots.”

Check out Meek Mill’s brand new “Intro” right here, and sound off if you think it lives up to the reputation of his previous album openers.

Quotable Lyrics

I’m on a yacht with a bad thot, we got the streets in a headlock
Ni*ga tried to peep through the backyard, all he seen was the choppas and red dots
I got my mama a black card, yeah, I really put on for the head knock

Capella Grey Remixes Song Of The Summer “Gyalis” With Chris Brown & Popcaan

There were two very clear contenders for Song Of The Summer this year: “Essence” and “Gyalis.” The two records could be heard blasting through car speakers all summer long, with “Gyalis” making a strong impact on New Yorkers. Over the last few weeks, there were rumblings that an even bigger remix of the song would be coming, and it has officially arrived with Capella Grey sharing the official rework with Chris Brown and Popcaan.

Refusing to let the hype die down, Capella Grey has come through with the “Gyalis” remix, starting off the record the same way he initially did before allowing room for Chris Brown to interpolate his flows and bring his own magic. Popcaan also jumps on for the final verse, fitting perfectly with the song.

Check out the official “Gyalis” remix below and let us know if you like this better than the original.

Quotable Lyrics:

She don’t wanna go tonight
She don’t wanna be alone
She would rather me turn off my phone
Don’t take my eye off her
Take her out the clothes that I bought her
She want me to live up to the hype
But she don’t wanna share me
