Conway The Machine Blazes Through “Piano Love” With The Help Of The Alchemist

We’re inching closer and closer to Conway The Machine’s Shady Records debut, God Don’t Make Mistakes. The Griselda crew has continued to dominate throughout 2021 as they remain one of the most respected lyrical collectives in Hip Hop, and Conway kicked up dust on Friday (October 8) by sharing the lead single from God Don’t Make Mistakes, “Piano Love.”

The track finds Conway pairing up with megaproducer The Alchemist, and the Buffalo, New York icon spoke about their single.

“With ‘Piano Love’ I am giving my fans what they love me for, grimy raps on an insane beat from The Alchemist; something magical that sets the tone for the rest of God Don’t Make Mistakes,” said the rapper. “If you’ve been a Conway fan from day one, you’re going to absolutely love the first single.”

Joyner Lucas & Ty Dolla $ign Link On “Late To The Party”

On the tail of his recent J. Cole collaboration, Joyner Lucas returns. We recently received “Your Heart” from the Massachusetts-born rapper, a track that came with an assist from Dreamville’s top dog. Lucas is continuing his steady stream of releases today (October 8), this time, however, he linked up with Los Angeles crooner, Ty Dolla $ign.

The two artists appear on Lucas’s “Late to the Party” and reflect on a few life decisions while celebrating all the luxuries success affords them. Lucas shared on social media that fans can expect to receive the visual to “Late to the Party” later on in the day, so we’ll keep you updated on that. In the meantime, stream “Late to the Party” and let us know your thoughts.

Quotable Lyrics

And would do anything just to get me some moolah
I’m sick and tired of these n*ggas callin’ me a sellout ’cause I took a trip to the jeweler
And I just filled a hunnid on my wrist too
And yeah, I think I’m cocky ’cause I’m rich too
And yeah, I might just go up in your b*tch too

24kGoldn & Lil Tecca Take Over The Mall In “Prada” Visual

Another designer label is being placed in the Rap spotlight now that 24kGoldn and Lil Tecca have linked up. The two artists have been making a name for themselves for years and as they continue to make their marks on the charts, and now they’ve collided on their single “Prada.” We often hear artists giving shine to luxury brands such as Gucci, Richard Mille, Versace, Cartier, and Louboutin—and that is just a small fraction of the designers who are staples on Hip Hop songs.

24kGoldn called on Tecca for the “Prada” assist, and along with the single comes a music video reminiscent of those days when hanging out at the mall was the thing to do on the weekends. As expected, Prada takes center stage as both rappers give nods to designers throughout the track and pose in their best luxury ‘fits.

Stream “Prada” and share your thoughts.

Nineteen, stuck in a dream, actin’ irrational (Ooh)
Twenty thousand on me, we caught a casual (Ooh)

Jesy Nelson Taps Nicki Minaj For Diddy-Sampled “Boyz” Single

She’s moved on from her time in the limelight with her group Little Mix, and now UK singer Jesy Nelson has released her debut single “Boyz” with the help of Nicki Minaj. Fans have been impatiently awaiting more news from Minaj regarding her highly anticipated forthcoming album, and while Nicki has been steadily working on the record, she has also appeared on several singles.

Minaj helped Doja Cat and Bia reach new heights when she hopped on the remixes to their tracks “Say So” and “Whole Lotta Money,” respectively, and Jesy is hoping that Minaj’s magic will help her, as well. “Boyz” samples a Bad Boy classic and Diddy even makes a cameo appearance in the music video. Nicki spins Bad Boy-centered bars on the track that include several artists from the label, perfectly complementing the track’s production.

When describing the single to Glamour magazine, Jesy said, “This single is amazing. I’m so excited for everyone to hear it. It’s ballsy, it’s honest and it’s me all over.” Stream “Boyz” and let us know what you think.

Nardo Wick Drops “Who Want Smoke??” Ft. 21 Savage, Lil Durk, G Herbo

We’re revisiting Nardo Wick’s previously released single now that the Florida rapper has updated the track. It was back in January when Nardo Wick shared “Who Want Smoke?,” a hard-hitting track that found Wick taking verbal shots at his opps, and on Friday (October 8), he returned with his star-studded remix.

This new version features the likes of 21 Savage, G Herbo, and Lil Durk as the trio of rappers switches things up to add their flavor to Wick’s previous release. This remix comes less than two months since Wick was reportedly arrested on concealed weapons charges, but it has not stopped him from pressing forward.

“Who Want Smoke??” is one of the most anticipated releases of the night, so let us know who you think secured the best verse.

Nas & Hit-Boy Keep It Moving On “Big Nas”

Nas and Hit-Boy didn’t have to do it — the pair could have been content to bask in the success of King’s Disease 2, one of the strongest albums of the year released thus far. And yet the duo has already kept it moving with some brand new music, this time associated with Nas’ upcoming MasterClass on hip-hop storytelling, which is currently set to land on October 14th.

Today marks the arrival of new single “Big Nas,” a track that once again highlights the legendary rapper’s effortless mind for stellar lyricism. “You could write yourself out of your blessings / wreck your Lambo the first day just from driving too reckless,” he raps. “Time is too precious, these some obvious lessons / Please, remind me to watch my step while I balancе on edges.” While it’s unclear as to whether Nas and Hit-Boy are planning on turning King’s Disease into a trilogy, it’s clear that they aren’t planning on wrapping up quite yet.

Stream “Big Nas” now, and look for the MasterClass to kick off on October 14th.

Quotable Lyrics

Me, myself, I’m the illest alive
I can do a whole album on how it feel to survive
My daughter’s a businesswoman, I’m so proud of her
My son is almost twelve, and he’s so knowledgeable
New music, new content, and new programming
I run the game and got my hands in everything like kids with bad manners
Save the high school banter

BandGang Lonnie Bands & Young Nudy Bring Out “Glocks N Choppas”

BandGang Lonnie Bands has officially come through with his new album Hard 2 Kill, complete with guest appearances from Ohgeesy, Young Nudy, EST Gee, BIG30, and more. While fans would be wise to go check out the album in full, it never hurts to kick things off with a bit of Young Nudy, who slides through to hold it down on the hard-hitting “Glocks N Choppas.”

As one might have predicted, the duet is a dark and intimidating ordeal — one that suits the sensibilities of Nudy and Lonnie Bands alike. Backed by an urgent piano loop, Lonnie sets it off with a laid-back and calculated opening verse. Nudy follows up with his unique blend of infectious charisma and understated menace, the type of shooter who would pull the trigger with a full smile. Check out “Glocks N Choppas” now, and hit the comments if you’re eager to dive into BandGang Lonnie Bands’ Hard 2 Kill project.

Nas Penned A Eulogy On “Hip-Hop Is Dead”

It’s not uncommon to hear the words “hip-hop is dead” — or some variation of it, at least — uttered by many a longtime rap purist. Nas himself famously uttered the decisive statement on his 2006 album Hip-Hop Is Dead, which feels wild in hindsight given how many amazing artists arrived shortly thereafter. Still, that was how he was feeling at the time, and he made sure to air his grievances in the blistering title track.

Following the tradition of grimy singles like “Got Yourself A Gun” and “Made You Look,” the Will-i-Am produced track provides Nas with an aggressive backdrop to vent. The second verse paints an incredible picture of his origin story, which dates back to the pre-Illmatic days. “The bigger the cap, the bigger the peelin’ / come through, something ill, missing the ceilin’,” he spits. “What influenced my raps? Stick-ups and killings / Kidnappings, project buildings, drug dealings.”

Though he recently claimed that hip-hop actually faked its death in 2007 on “EPMD 2,” his conviction on “Hip-Hop Is Dead” is exactly why the legendary rapper remains a revered member of the rap pantheon. Revisit this classic single now, and sound off if you think this album is a certified classic.

SahBabii Shares New Song “Switch”

Atlanta rapper SahBabii is one of the more charismatic performers in the city’s local hip-hop scene, and he’s on track to release his most focused musical effort later this month. Previously, we heard from the artist when he released “Bread Head,” which kicked off the rollout for his new album Do It For Demon, which is named in honor of his late friend. With the project set to commemorate the life of Sah’s fallen friend Demon, the rapper has officially come through with the second single from his upcoming body of work, titled “Switch.”

The new single features an upbeat tribal chant, which brings back memories of Demon’s energy for SahBabii. While “Switch” contains some of the playful wordplay that fans have grown to love from Sah, it also speaks to some of his most painful memories of the last year, allowing the listener to learn more about him.

Stay tuned for SahBabii’s new album Do It For Demon later this month and check out “Switch” below.
