Lil Nas X & Jack Harlow Bless Fans With Extended Version Of “INDUSTRY BABY”

Lil Nas X dropped off his debut album MONTERO a couple of weeks ago, and one of the biggest singles to come from that project was none other than “INDUSTRY BABY” with Jack Harlow. The track has a phenomenal horn section and it’s a song that will be played at sporting events for years to come. Now that the artist’s album is out on streaming platforms, he has decided to bless fans again, this time with an extended version of “INDUSTRY BABY” that should impress his supporters.

The song is mostly unchanged, although there is an extended outro at the end in which Lil Nas X can be heard using a more melodic tone. It works within the context of the track, and Nas X is at his most braggadocios as he boats about his hit songs and how he has reached superstar status.

Keith Sweat & Raheen DeVaughn Drop Off “Can’t Nobody”

It’s time for some grown folks R&B and it looks as if Keith Sweat is adding another “Nobody” track to his catalog. The legendary R&B crooner has been singing his hits for decades, and over the summer, Sweat joined his friend Bobby Brown for a nostalgic Verzuz. The two icons performed 20 of their fan favorites—Brown even tried breaking out those old dance moves—and people expected both singers to share new music before the year’s end.

Keith Sweat is ushering in the weekend with the help of Grammy-nominated music veteran Raheem DeVaughn as they shared their collaboration, “Can’t Nobody.” The two singers traded turns as they let the world know that they have full love and trust in their partners, belting out in the chorus, “Can’t nobody tell me sh*t about my baby.”

James Blake Teams Up With JID & SwaVay For Haunting Track “Frozen”

James Blake is an incredibly talented singer-songwriter who has teamed up with various hip-hop artists in the past. Every time Blake comes through with a new project, you can typically hear some rap sprinkled throughout, and on his new album Friends That Break Your Heart, that is exactly what we got. With the track “Frozen,” we see Blake merging styles with the likes of JID and SwaVay, who come together for a truly haunting track.

With this song, we get a chilling yet skeletal instrumental that has Blake giving a low-key vocal performance. From there, JID and SwaVay each offer some passionate verses that fit perfectly within the context of the track. While some might be a tad skeptical at these three getting together on a song, it ends up working to perfection.

Shawty made my other girl dip
If I was to love her, she would leave me with shit

Last night we was too lit
We don’t have pics, but we was too lit

Lauren Jauregui Drops Emotional New Single, “Colors” From Her Debut Solo Project

Lauren Jauregui first rose to fame during her time in the girl group, Fifth Harmony, but now, the 25-year-old is making a name for herself as a solo artist in the music industry. The Miami native just released “Colors,” an emotionally-charged single from her debut project, PRELUDE.

When you paint a wall, you have to paint over what is underneath. I’m trying to convince myself I’m someone I’m not,” Jauregui said of the new song in a press release.

“The song is a literal conversation. When everyone is gone, it’s just you and I. You can paint on the wall, but you can’t erase them all. I’m letting myself know that no matter what is going on, I need to be okay with myself. You can’t run away from yourself, because all of your layers are still going to be there. You need to learn to see them and accept them.”

“Colors” was produced by Johnny Rain, and features a beautiful combination of spoken word, sparse piano, airy strings, and vocals from Jauregui.

An official release date for PRELUDE has yet to be revealed, although the singer will be hosting a special livestream performance on Moment House on October 14th or 15th (depending on your location) that will see her performing songs from the album for the first time.

Don Toliver Starts His Album Right With “XSCAPE”

Houston rapper Don Toliver has released his sophomore studio album Life Of A Don, which includes features from Travis Scott, Kali Uchis, Baby Keem, and more. The body of work was previously teased with an album trailer, showing off the stunning, jazzy soundscape on “XSCAPE.” With the album officially out now, fans are hearing the song for the first time in full, remarking about how it’s the perfect way to start things off.

Much like his mentor Travis Scott does with his albums, Don Toliver created an alternate world for Life Of A Don, peeling off layers of his creativity and personality to truly unveil another side of himself, becoming even more of a melodist on his sophomore effort. Don’s work with harmonies is second-to-none, and he’s outdone himself again on “XSCAPE,” the first song on his new project.

“XSCAPE” was produced by Chase B, Mike Dean, and others. Have a listen to the album intro below.

Mick Jenkins Returns With New Single “Contacts”

Mick Jenkins is readying the release of his upcoming album Elephant In The Room, and today the Chicago lyricist has delivered a new single from the project in “Contacts.” His first solo release since previous drop “Truffles,” this one is yet another strong offering from one of the game’s most consistently impressive emcees.

Set to the backdrop of a laid-back and mildly unsettling instrumental — the likes of which we seldom see tackled, a testament to Mick’s originality — Jenkins absolutely snaps in a commanding fashion. It’s clear that there are a few points he’s looking to get off his chest, as evidenced in the opening lines. “They say it ain’t trill enough, they say it ain’t drill enough,” he raps. “I’m coming from the illest side / I just know it’s real enough.”

Check out Mick Jenkins’ new single “Contacts,” another strong offering from one of the game’s sharpest minds, and hit the comments if you’re eager for that new album.
