Curren$y Rides Around With “Angels On The Hood”

Curren$y’s closing out the year with a bang. While that isn’t anything new for the New Orleans rapper, he’s keeping up with the strict release scheduled he outlined earlier this year. The rapper announced seven projects that he was releasing which included the Kino Beats-produced, Matching Rolexes. On Friday, he came through with his latest body of work, Still Stoned On Ocean.

The rapper’s new project boasts minimal features, allowing Spitta to shine in all of his glory. The rapper takes on triumphant production for the stand-out, “Angels On The Hood” — an homage to the ornament that comes with every Rolls Royce. Curren$y celebrates his independent earnings on the track while scoffing at those who’ve attempted to bring him down.

Tone Stith Makes A Sultry Plea On New Song “I Don’t Wanna”

Contemporary R&B singer-songwriter Tone Stith is offering listeners more of what they love about his music with teasers of his forthcoming EP Still FWM?, including the latest drop of his song “I Don’t Wanna”. The single is a close follow-up to his 9-track EP FWM? released back in June, featuring a hypnotic collage of Tone Stith’s smooth vocals over entrancing soundscapes blending pop and R&B influences.

On the track, Tone Stith vents about his feelings for an enigmatic partner, fond of their shared chemistry. “I got a lot on my mind/Need you right here to unwind/Me and you got too much chemistry/Almost like we the same zodiac sign,” he croons, elevated with the sleepy strum of a guitar.

With that, he launches into his catchy hook. “I don’t wanna wait/You should be closer,” he sings, lost in his memories of their shared time and space. Throughout the rest of the track, Tone Stith continues to construct the world he’s building with his new music. An immersive and ethereal look into his romantic desires, sensual fantasies, and continued devotion to sonic exploration.

According to the track list, “I Don’t Wanna” is slated to be the EP’s first record, followed by collaborations with Chris Brown, Kenneth Paige, and Maeta. Set to drop later this month, Still FWM? clearly has much for Tone Stith fans to look forward to.

Bugzy Malone Is Ready To Defend His On “War Mode”

Bugzy Malone’s faced his fair share of adversities in his career but those moments are what fuels his music. Last month, the rapper was finally cleared on assault charges stemming from a 2018 incident. Bugzy’s remained rather lowkey since then but this weekend, he returned with a fiery new single titled, “War Mode.” The rapper reflects on his recent legal situation while celebrating his liberty and the lifestyle he’s afforded from his career in the streets and in hip-hop.

The music video for the single includes footage of the rapper’s trial, as well as CCTV footage of the incident where he was accused of breaking the jaws of two men who he claimed broke into his home.

Don Toliver Mixes Lean With Lust On “Get Throwed”

It’s been a long time coming but finally, Don Toliver’s Life Of A Don is out now. The Houston rapper has been on one hell of a run over the past few years. 2021 has been a year where his presence was felt on some of the biggest stages. He appeared on Kanye West’s DONDA, joined Skrillex and Justin Bieber on “Don’t Go,” plus his collaboration with Kali Uchis on “Drugs N Hella Melodies” was in steady rotation since its June release.

Life Of A Don does boast some great collaborations with artists like Baby Keem, Travis Scott, and the aforementioned Kali Uchis. If the album proves anything, though, it’s that he certainly doesn’t need any high-profile name attached to create a banger. “Get Throwed” is an excellent example of this. Don Toliver’s honeyed melodies reflect on the H-Town codeine concoction and his bedroom fantasies over Mustard’s upbeat, breezy West Coast production.

Keedron Bryant Shoots His Shot On “Hello”

Keedron Bryant is a young and talented singer who first got noticed with his track “I Just Wanna Live” which was a response to the killing of George Floyd. Bryant was praised for the song and he was seen singing the national anthem at various sporting events shortly after. Since that time, he has been coming through with a steady stream of new tracks, and recently, he decided to switch up his sound and tackle some of the topics that an adolescent would be thinking of.

With his new single “Hello,” Bryant can be heart shooting his shot with a young woman he seemingly just met. Bryant is enamored with the woman and he wants his presence to be known. Throughout the song, he offers up some powerful and soulful vocals that will surely impress. The instrumental is quite lavish, and overall, it’s a great effort that showcases just how much talent Bryant has.

NLE Choppa Lights Up Drake’s “Pound Cake” For “Another Baby OTW”

NLE Choppa has been largely coolin’ out this year. Following an incredibly eventful year in 2020 that included the release of his debut album, Top Shotta, as well as From Dark To Light  — an album that signaled his holistic transformation. However, 2021 has been a rather lowkey year for him overall in terms of releases, though he has been delivering some solid guest features.

Today, the rapper slid through with a brand new freestyle over Drake’s 2013 NWTS outro, “Pound Cake.” The rapper offers introspection into his life and long-term goals including his aspirations to become a billionaire. However, it’s moments like those where he also recognizes how money can’t necessarily bring him happiness. “If cash rules everything/ Why do I want something that cash can’t buy?” he raps on the record. The materialistic aspects aside, Choppa expresses his desire to bring better opportunities through generational wealth.

Kodak Black Delivers New Song & Video “Killing The Rats”

Kodak Black hasn’t been wasting any time since his release from prison earlier this year. After Trump commuted his sentence, the rapper quickly returned with Haitian Boy Jack before swiftly following it up with Happy Birthday Kodak. Another album is in the pipeline, which he teased with the release of Before The Album mixtape. Now, he’s back in action with his latest cut “Killing The Rats.” Dropping at the wee hours of Sunday morning, the rapper’s latest track is a return to form. “Smokin’ the roach and I’m killin’ the rats/ When I’m back in the ‘jets, I be flippin’ a pack,” he raps on the hook.

The latest release from Kodak Black arrives shortly after he issued a public statement to his fans addressing a slew of alarming tweets. The rapper also seemed to address his need to change his environment, which was recently reported as a request he made to the court to complete treatment. “I got a great support system & surrounded by love, somebody put a false rumor in my head that drove me to the edge that I can’t say but all in all I’m ok,” he wrote. “I’m really in need of a vacation but being on probation Keep me stuck in this unhealthy environment where my only choice is running around the hood thuggin’.”
