Future & SZA Assist DJ Khaled With “BEAUTIFUL” From “GOD DID” Album

Now that DJ Khaled’s GOD DID album has had some time to make its way into listener’s weekend streaming rotation, a few titles on the tracklist have emerged as fan favourites, such as the Dr. Dre-produced remix of Kanye West’s “Use This Gospel” featuring Eminem, as well as the song we’ve selected to spotlight today, “BEAUTIFUL” with Future and SZA.

The collaboration is the eighth title on Khaled’s new album and kicks off with Pluto rapping, “Pull up in that two-tone, got me feelin’ like a Jetson / Let it out, my sneaky link, lil’ shawty like my best friend / Pop a bag on her, I’m a sponsor, she my investment / She not the only one without no questions.”

On the chorus, SZA’s vocals shine as she sings, “I took a flight for the Patek, you said, ‘Bae, you’re so dramatic,’ I guess / Anything you want, boy, forget it, you just make me feel so…”

Other standouts emerging among the new arrivals include “GOD DID” featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, JAY-Z, John Legend, and Fridayy, as well as “Juice WRLD DID” with a posthumous appearance from the late rapper.

Quotable Lyrics:

I took a flight for the Patek, you said, “Bae, you’re so dramatic”, I guess
Anything you want, boy, forget it, you just make me feel so
I took a chance and you grabbed it, you said, “Don’t worry, I got it,” you said
And you just make me feel so beautiful

Canadian R&B Starlet Savannah Ré Is Seeking “Closure” On New Single

It was inarguably a huge weekend for any rap fans out there, and while things were slightly lighter on the R&B side, we still have some new arrivals to highlight – most notably, one from Savannah Ré.

The Canadian songstress shared “Closure” this weekend, which she described as “a blend of a bunch of different genres – something that I haven’t really made before.”

Alongside her beautiful vocals, Ré worked with producers Boi-1da, YogiTheProducer, and Kevinshideout on her latest release, blending “Baile Funk percussion with dancehall and soca influences.”

“I tapped into my past for this one, especially on the voicemail in the beginning (that’s actually me),” the two-time JUNO Award winner shared in a press release. “‘Closure’ is about a relationship that has run its course, but you’re still enamoured with this person and make the last-ditch effort to hold onto something that’s already gone. Even though it’s about toxicity, I wanted it to have an uplifting energy to it with tempo and bright sounds.”

The new single follows “About U,” which arrived last month, and is due to appear alongside it on Ré’s upcoming No Weapons project, due out later this fall.

Quotable Lyrics:

So try to keep up with my appetite
I know what you’re feeling, had to give you some
Ooh, you never had before, babe
Have me blowin’ up your phone ’cause

NGeeYL & Trippie Redd Drop New Collab, “Wrong Move”

NGeeYL is a rapper from Spartanburg, South Carolina. He’s been in the game for over four years now, dropping music that has fallen into multiple categories. From hip-hop to punk rap, the 24-year-old has garnered fans across numerous genres. He’s also worked with some of the hottest artists in the industry like Lil Uzi Vert, Young Nudy, Lil Keed, and others.

Now, he has collaborated with another influential rapper– Trippie Redd. Yesterday (August 26), the two artists teamed up to create “Wrong Move.” The three-minute record featured a futuristic type of beat, filled with melodies and vibrations that perfectly fit the pair’s voices. While they each managed to have their own sound, NGeeYL and Trippie showed great chemistry throughout the track.

Wasting no time, NGeeYL came in right away with the song’s memorable hook. “Wrong move, that’ll get you spilled/Wrong move, that’ll get you killed/Quick draw, b*tch, I’m coming off of the hip/Hellcat, wide body, pull up, let it rip.” The two took turns switching back and forth between their verses, issuing hard lyrics that perfectly embodied the beat.

They also released a music video for the song– an anime-type of visual with intriguing colors. Watch the video and stream the record below.

Rema & Selena Gomez Team Up To Make New Version Of “Calm Down”

Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, is a rapper, singer, and songwriter hailing from Nigeria. He has managed to rise in popularity due to his unique sound, ability to work across different genres, and use of unforgettable lyrics. The 22-year-old might be somewhat new on the scene, but he’s wasted no time making a name for himself.

Back in March of this year, he dropped his second album, Rave & Roses. Composed of 16 songs, one of the most popular was his record “Calm Down.” While it garnered plenty of attention on its own, he decided to team up with a well-known artist to turn up the heat. On August 25, he and Selena Gomez dropped a newer version of the track.

Nothing changed within the first minute of the song, but Gomez added a completely new verse to the upbeat record. She used her angelic voice to make the song appear lighter and fresher. “Yeah I know I look shy/But for you I get down,” she sang swiftly.

As of now, there is no visual. However, there is a lyric video that has already gotten over a million views.

Stream the track below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Baby show me you can calm down

Lakeyah Adds Gloss Up To “Real B*tch”

Quality Control Music takes a break from its controversy with Offset to bring a new single from two of its artists.
