Yeat Turns Up On His New Single “Talk”

Year has quietly become one of the most prominent new artists to emerge this year. From co-signs from the biggest artists in the game, he came through with Stay Alivë earlier this year and proved why there’s so much hype around his name.

Last week, the rapper announced that he had a new single on the way leading up to the release of a new project. Today, he shared his new single, “Talk,” a high-energy banger that kicks off the campaign for his next album, Lyfë. The song is produced by Bnyx.

Yeat’s upcoming project Lyfë doesn’t have a release date yet but it comes on the heels of his contribution to the new Minions movie, which certainly expanded his audience.

Check out the song below.

NLE Choppa Speaks To The Ladies On “Little Miss”

Memphis star NLE Choppa has been stealing attention for his music and lifestyle choices. He has often been unfiltered on social media, stating that he has developed remedies that could help with diseases and other ailments, or firing off tweets about licking his girlfriend’s armpits. The over-sharing has caused a few viral moments, but today (September 2), the rapper and his team are hoping that Choppa’s new single is what gets fans talking across the globe.

NLE Choppa returned with “Little Miss,” a track that speaks to a woman who seems as if she has it all together with her fancy clothes, cars, and jewels, but underneath the aesthetic is a person who is simply looking for love and stability. Choppa penned bars about seeing her differently than the world, and it may be one inspired by his real-life leading lady.

Quotable Lyrics

Under that broccoli rock, under that new Chanel
Under that makeup, a girl goin’ through hell
I know that shit hurt, I know that trauma abuse you
Don’t forget your worth (Don’t forget your worth)
Promise you more than what you used to
Hear me out boo, I’ll put you first (I’ll put you first)

Tyga Returns With Summer Jam “Fantastic”

The last we heard from Tyga, he was sharing his nostalgic single, “Sunshine.” For that track, Tyga sampled Lil Flip’s classic of the same name and added guest features from Jhené Aiko and Pop Smoke. The loved-up track arrived with a music video that paid homage to the early 2000s, and it was a release that veered from other stacked songs in Tyga’s catalog that are poised for party playlists.

He returns this New Music Friday (September 2) with another summer jam, “Fantastic,” this time bringing back his familiar sound that DJs have already added to their club hits. “Fantastic” comes with a music video that shows Tyga in his element: stress-free, poolside with bikini-clad, twerking models…and YG is also on the scene, enjoying the sights. Tyga and YG recently shared their collaboration, “Run” with BIA and 21 Savage.

The production on this newly-released track plays heavily into the West Coast sound birthed out of California and fans aren’t disappointed. Stream “Fantastic” and let us know what you think.

A$AP Rocky Surprises Fans With “Our Destiny” Ft. Playboi Carti

They have been friends for years and have collaborated in the past, and for this New Music Friday (September 2), A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti blessed Hip Hop with a new release, “Our Destiny.” This one came out of left field for fans as the track wasn’t teased or given the rollout treatment, but its arrival was welcomed with open arms.

Initially, Rocky shared this one via his Instagram, but less than an hour ago, the collab’s visual made its way to YouTube. We haven’t heard much from Rocky in recent months as he’s welcomed a son with Rihanna and has been easing into his role as a devoted dad. The rapper’s legal troubles have also kept him shying away from the limelight, as he has been charged with assault for allegedly shooting a former member of his A$AP crew.

Despite the legal problems, Rocky is pressing forward musically without hesitation. Stream “Our Destiny” below and let us know what you think.

Fivio Foreign References Ma$e’s Feud With Diddy On “God Did” Freestyle

It’s been a week since DJ Khaled unveiled his latest studio album, God Did. For the most part, people have already picked out their favorite songs and added it to their playlists, but there’s no denying that the title track stands among the best cuts Khaled’s released in years. Rick Ross and Lil Wayne deliver solid verses that ultimately set the stage for Jay-Z’s 4-minute verse.

A week later, Fivio Foreign has taken on the instrumental for his latest freestyle. Fivi pops his shit, detailing the long list of successes he’s witnessed within the past year. He also gives shouts out to Jay-Z and Beyonce, while boasting of Kanye’s co-sign. Elsewhere, he admits that he felt a type of way about Khaled not reaching out to him for a verse on his album.

Perhaps the most notable part fo the record is Fivio’s reference to his feud with Mase. “Brought Mase back to life, man, that’s a million dollars worth of game/ Ha, that nigga lied, talkin’ about I’m scared of who… He ain’t even wanna say it/ I see it in his eyes/ And you still hate Diddy, so how I’m lettin’ that shit slide?” he raps.

Quotable Lyrics
I went verse for verse with the top legends and survived
N***a, I did more than the above
And I believed them when they told me it was love
But when I asked for a favor back, they act like I was bugged
I ain’t sayin’ names but them n***as know who they was

Gucci Mane & Baby Racks Defy The Odds On “Look Ma I Did It”

Though it feels like it’s been a minute since Gucci Mane delivered a solo body of work that highlight him instead of his artists, he’s continued to bless fans with a ton of solo music. Earlier this summer, he shared a message to the rap game as an elder statesman to stop dissing the dead — an ironic turn of events seeing as he continued to diss Pookie Loc.

Gucci might be letting off one-off singles or he could be delivering a new album before the year ends, Regardless, he’s still keeping the records coming at a fast pace. This week, the rapper teamed up with Baby Racks, the latest 1017 signee, for their new collaboration, “Look Ma I Did It.” The two take on gutter trap production as they marvel as their accomplishments.

DJ Drama & Jeezy Return To The Trap On “I Ain’t Gon Hold Ya”

Some of the greatest mixtapes in hip-hop emerged out of DJ Drama’s house. From Lil Wayne’s Dedication to Meek Mill’s Dream Chasers 2, Drama’s fingerprints are found on some of the most pivotal moments in modern rap. However, you can’t talk about the Gangsta Grillz series without mentioning Jeezy. Trap or Die is a foundational body of work that took trap around the world. While Jeezy might seemingly lay low from rapping these days, he’s back in action with his latest single with Drama.

The Trap Or Die collaborators have now joined forces for a new single out the vault, “I Ain’t Gon Hold Ya.” This time, Jeezy and Drama elevate beyond the streets with straight mogul talk.

Check out the latest from the two below.

Quotable Lyrics
Them bitches really love me out here like they love Soulja Slim in the Nola

Cam’ron & A-Trak Unite On “All I Really Wanted”

Cam’ron is notorious for announcing projects that never dropped. He announced a Camdemic tape that was supposed to drop on Independence Day last year. Then there was The Program 2 which similarly never saw the light of day.

Today, the rapper formally announced his next body of work, U Wasn’t There, a collaborative track alongside Montreal-produced DJ A-Trak. The “Dipshits” duo released “All I Ever Wanted” earlier today, which delivers a sample-heavy production that fits perfectly with the Dipset sound. Cam takes the opportunity to reflect on his rise and the desires for money, power, and respect in the streets and in the rap game.

Cam’ron and A-Trak’s upcoming project, U Wasn’t There is due out on September 23rd. Check out their new single, “All I Ever Wanted” below.

Freddie Gibbs & Moneybagg Yo Are Living Large On “Too Much”

Gangsta Gibbs told everyone that he had the Album Of The Year in 2021, even though he only had a few singles out without any indication of a new project. However, it seems like 2022 is the year. Following the release of singles like “Black Illuminati” ft. Jadakiss and “Ice Cream” ft. Rick Ross, Freddie Gibbs dished out his latest single, “Too Much” ft. Moneybagg Yo off of his forthcoming album, $oul $old $eparately. The two rappers glide over glitchy production from IV Beats and Norva “VA” Denton. Gibbs’ turns up the auto-tune, lathering the icy production with extravagant flexes of his cross-country journeys. Moneybagg Yo comes through with a stellar performance, measuring up his bars to Gibbs with one of his best guest appearances of the year. Though you wouldn’t really expect to hear Bagg and Gibbs on the same record, the two known hustlers celebrate luxurious living and indulge in their hedonistic ways on “Too Much.”

$$$ drops on September 30th. Check out “Too Much” below.

Quotable Lyrics
