Big30 Comes Through With “On My Mama”

Big30 is still riding high in 2022. Despite a few missteps along the way, the Memphis rapper earned significant praise which ultimately landed him on XXL’s Freshman cover. He’s yet to release a new project but the influx of singles he’s dropped over the course of the year are strong indications that its coming.

Today, he unveiled his latest single, “On My Mama.” The record finds Big30 taking on Mia Jayc’s ominous production with vengeance on his mind. “We on his ass day and night/ On his ass in his dreams/ 40 days and 40 nights we on his ass until he bleeds,” he raps on the record. Elsewhere, he shows love to Pooh Shiesty, who is currently incarcerated.

The Alchemist Holds Down Production On B$F’s “Pandemic Flow” With Rick Hyde, Conway & Cory Gunz

Benny The Butcher isn’t slowing down by any means. Following the release of Tana Talk 4, the rapper put his focus towards keeping the momentum high for the BSF team. Today, they’ve emerged together with the release of their new tribute project to the late Griselda DJ, DJ Shay, with Long Live DJ Shay. Benny allows both Rick Hyde and Heem to shine on their own, though he does come through with a few notable verses on the project.

A dedication to Shay wouldn’t be possible without contributions from other members from Griselda. On “Pandemic Flow,” Rick Hyde teams up with Conway The Machine and Cory Gunz for a gritty record, produced by The Alchemist. It’s a fierce cut that finds Hyde, Conway, and Cory trying to outbar each other over Alchemist’s signature style of grimey and atmospheric production.

Tinashe Reunites With Snakehips For New Song, “Who’s Gonna Love You Tonight”

R&B, pop, and electronic all beautifully come together on Tinashe’s most recent collaboration with UK-based production duo Snakehips, called “Who’s Gonna Love You Tonight.”

As you may remember, they came together back in 2015 alongside Chance the Rapper to craft “All My Friends,” which has since been streamed over 700M times, gone muli-platinum, won an Ivor Novello Award, and was even performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

“I got stuck deep in your feelings / Gave you more of me than I needed / You gave up and I shoulda seen it,” the 333 artist reflects over the piano-driven music.

Snakehips has delivered a handful of singles in recent months as they prepare for the arrival of their long-awaited debut album, due out in early 2023. Before their Tinashe joint landed at midnight, they had already shared “All Around The World” with rapper and songwriter DUCKWRTH, as well as “WATER” in tandem with Los Angeles’ Bryce Vine.

DJ Premier Appears On Prodigy’s New Single “Walk Out”

It’s been over five years since the tragic death of Prodigy. The Mobb Deep rapper died in 2017 following complications with his life-long battle sickle cell anemia. However, his friends, family and peers have kept his name alive throughout the years.

With his first posthumous album, The Hegelian Dialectic: The Book Of Heroine, due out this year, his estate unveiled a brand new song off of the project, “Walk Out” ft. DJ Premier. P reflects on the hustle and grind, as well as how it affects relationships in the song while Preemo provides scratches.

“It’s always an honor to work with the great Prodigy,” said DJ Premier in a statement. “Since ‘Peer Pressure’ – that I produced – I knew early on that he would be an all-time great. His legacy lives on and happy to be a part of it.”

Cordae & Hit-Boy Are Back At It Again With “Checkmate”

With the football season kicking off, Cordae and Hit-Boy have an anthem to commemorate the occasion. The rapper and producer connected on “Checkmate” earlier today, a victorious anthem highlighting the competitive nature of hip-hop. Hit-Boy’s production feels equally nostalgic and triumphant while Cordae issues a firm reminder to his detractors of how he’s living these days.

The new single from Cordae and Hit-Boy is included on the Madden ’23 soundtrack.

During our cover story interview with Hit-Boy earlier this year, he revealed that he and Cordae have a lot of heat in the stash.

“Again, I’ve probably got like an EP’s worth of s**t with Cordae,” he said. “You know, he’s a ‘rapper’ rapper, so he freestyles like to every beat. Then he’ll catch a vibe and be like, ‘Yeah this the one. Let’s load this up or I’m going to take this with me and do it at my studio,'” Hit-Boy explained. “That’s what happened. He started ‘Sinister’ at my studio, recorded a part of it, took it with him and just flushed it out then put Wayne on it.”

Check out their new collab below.

Coi Leray Flexes Her Luxury Lifestyle On “Fly Sh!t”

The ladies of Rap have invaded this New Music Friday (September 9), and Coi Leray is adding her name to the list. We haven’t heard much from Coi in recent months, but that lull may seem more quiet considering the social media storms the rapper found her name entangled in. Whether she was fighting off trolls who came after her for having a collaboration with Nicki Minaj or having a family feud with her father Benzino online, it seemed as if Coi Leray couldn’t avoid dust-ups.

However, she has repeatedly maintained that she didn’t want issues with anyone and buckled down to focus on her career. This week, Coi returned with “Fly Sh!t,” a track where she talked that talk about her bank account, jewelry, and all things related to living a life of luxury. It hits all of the topics that rappers love boasting about, showing Coi once again flexing her money-ain’t-a-thang lifestyle.

Stream “Fly Sh!t” and let us know what you think.

Money Man, Key Glock, BLEU, & Babyface Ray Conquer “No Limit” From Madden NFL 23 Soundtrack

The Madden 23 soundtrack received a few more releases this New Music Friday, including Cordae and Hit-Boy’s link-up on “Checkmate,” as well as a new joint song from a few of our favourites called “No Limit.”

Money Man, Key Glock, and BLEU came together for the upbeat track, which also featured Babyface Ray and finds them name-dropping legends like Travis Kelsey and Kyler Murray.

So far, Money’s verse appears to be a favourite among listeners. “I’m whippin’ the Trackhawk with messed up suspension / I drove it so fast that I blew out the engine / I kept it too real ever since the beginnin’ / I play offence and D, I might switch my position,” the “LLC” artist rhymes with ease.

Other famous faces who contributed new music to the Madden 23 soundtrack include Big K.R.I.T., King Green, Gizzle ft. BRE-Z, Symba, Erica Banks, Lord Afrixana, Marqus Clae, Simon Said, and Jazzfeezy, as well as Killer Mike and Bas whose songs are only available in-game.

GloRilla & HitKidd Enlist Latto & JT For “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” Remix

It’s been one hell of a summer for GloRilla. The Memphis rapper delivered one of the biggest records of the year with “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” alongside Hitkidd. Though it blew up off of TikTok, it didn’t take long for everyone from Travis Scott to Cardi B to show their support for the budding rap star.

Today, she’s maintaining the momentum into the fall with the release of the official remix. The CMG signee enlists the help of Latto and JT, who also appeared on Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)” today. GloRilla’s original verse is in tact but the addition of Latto and JT help bring the song to new heights.

Check the song below and let us know your thoughts on the remix.

G Herbo & A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Team Up For “Me, Myself & I” Single

Earlier this summer, G Herbo shared the exciting news that his Survivor’s Remorse album is on the way, including features from names like Offset, Future, and A Boogie wit da Hoodie. Initially, it was speculated that the project would arrive in late August, but now it seems that we might see it drop over the coming weeks in the fall, though the father of three did come through with a new single to hold us over.

At midnight on Friday (September 9), Herbo shared a joint track made in tandem with A Boogie wit da Hoodie, called “Me, Myself & I” on which the two artists reflect on their relationship with God.

“Put my feelings to the side this time / My heart so big, sometimes I cry over street shit / Nowadays it’s me, myself and I,” they sing on the chorus. “‘Cause I’m the only person that really cares if I don’t be shit / And I tried to talk to God, but I’m afraid ’cause we ain’t spoke in so long / He’ll probably think I only need shit.”

While we await a new album from G Herbo, A Boogie wit da Hoodie recently announced that he’s got a new project coming out later this year as well – read more about that here, and steam “Me, Myself & I” on Spotify, Apple Music, or Soundcloud below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Put my feelings to the side this time
My heart so big, sometimes I cry over street shit

He’ll probably think I only need shit

Another New Music Friday is upon us, this one boasting not only albums from Lil B, Yeat, and Ari Lennox, but also a host of new singles, including a collaboration from EST Gee and Future on the former’s latest arrival, “Shoot It Myself.”

The Louisville-born rapper takes the lead, kicking things off with bars like “Yeah, shirt off with no mask at all, I train my dog with manatal / Clearest water, this the one, made Jesus take his sandals off,” and “Come knock on the devil’s door, make sure you turn your camera off / It’s Js in here, white all on they face, but they ain’t Santa Clause.”

This isn’t Hendrix and Gee’s only collaboration in 2022 so far. When the 38-year-old dropped off his I NEVER LIKED YOU album back in April, their “CHICKENS” joint track made it onto the project and has received plenty of love from fans in the months since.
