A Video Of Quavo And Saweetie Having A Fight In An Elevator Has Surfaced

Last week, fans of the Quavo and Saweetie couple were devastated to learn that the pair had broken up. Although both artists shared claims that the other was at fault, many fans speculated that Quavo’s infidelity was the reason behind the split. However, today, TMZ surfaced a new video that shows the two had a lot more problems than it appeared on the surface.

In the video, Quavo and Saweetie have an altercation in an elevator, caught by the elevator’s security camera. Saweetie takes a swing at Quavo, and the two scuffle over an orange suitcase with Quavo ultimately grabbing Saweetie and flinging her to the floor of the elevator. There is no sound, so we can’t hear what the two say to each other, but there’s some discussion before Saweetie gets up and walks past Quavo, who stays behind after propping open the door with the suitcase.

The former couple was a fan favorite before their breakup, with the story of Quavo’s DM icebreaker becoming a meme and sweet, behind-the-scenes stories filtering into their interviews. Fans fawned over the couple’s luxurious gifts to each other, but in her tweet confirming their breakup, Saweetie admitted that gifts weren’t enough to “band aid scars.” While those scars were initially thought to be emotional, this new revelation prompts the question of whether some were physical as well.

Saweetie Says She Had PTSD After Being Bullied By Ebro Over Her Hot 97 Freestyle

In her new Cosmopolitan cover story, Saweetie comes clean about one of the formative incidents of her career. Addressing the infamous February 2018 Hot 97 interview in which host Ebro bullied her over her freestyle, calling it “basic” among other things, Saweetie says that the host’s insensitive comments left a lasting negative impression on her.

“It was a really dark point in my life,” she admits. ” went from being so loved so quickly because of ‘Icy Grl’ to, on my first promo run, well, you saw the interview. The script flipped really quick, like night and day. I was like, ‘Wait…’ I had PTSD from that.” She also notes that due to a lack of experience and artist development, which labels basically gave up on during the blog era ten years before “Icy Grl” blew up on Instagram, fans saw her as a bad performer, which further hurt her sense of self esteem.

“Because ‘Icy Grl’ was so popular, I was being booked at huge festivals,” she notes. “I was literally thrown into it.” However, she credits the experience with toughening her up and prepare her for success. “I’m really grateful for my start. Because the mistakes, the struggle, the grind—it allows me to appreciate the rewards that come now because I know what it feels like to sleep in motels, to drive and do promo, to be stressed out.”

Ariana Grande And Saweetie Are Set To Feature On Demi Lovato’s Next Album

The last album fans got from Demi Lovato was 2017’s Tell Me You Love Me, and at the moment, the pop singer is in the midst of the largest between-albums gap of her career. She’s about to put an end to it, though, as she recently revealed that her next LP, Dancing With The Devil… The Art Of Starting Over, is set for release on April 2. There’s no tracklist yet, but Lovato has revealed a couple of big-time guests she managed to secure for the record.

A new profile on Lovato from Paper notes the album features a collaboration with Ariana Grande titled “Met Him Last Night.” Furthermore, there’s also a collab with Saweetie called “My GFs Are My BFs,” which is described as “a classic female empowerment anthem.”

In a recent livestream, Lovato explained that the album was initially titled just The Art Of Starting Over, but she later opted to add Dancing With The Devil to emphasize the importance of her upcoming documentary of the same name. Lovato said:

“If you listen to it track by track, if you follow the track listing, it’s kind of actually like the non-official soundtrack to the documentary. Because it really does follow my life over the past couple of years. When we went through the track listing and kind of mapped out how it kind of coincided with my life’s story, it made sense to add the more emotional stuff in the beginning and then transition into The Art Of Starting Over.”

Dancing With The Devil… The Art Of Starting Over is out 4/2 via Island. Pre-order it here.
