Kendrick Lamar’s Unreleased “Tranquilizer” Used To Soundtrack Fashion Show

Paris Fashion Week is going on and it’s crossed over into hip-hop quite a bit. The biggest moment was likely Pharrell’s newest Louis Vuitton show. He previewed an unreleased song with Miley Cyrus and even used Pusha T as one of his runway models. Another surprising moment came when Quavo and Chris Brown were seated next to each other at one of the shows. It re-ignited a beef between the two when Brown took to Instagram to clarify that he didn’t get to choose his seat and still wasn’t a fan of the Migos rapper.

But speaking of unreleased cuts being played during runway shows, there is even more where that came from. A Kendrick Lamar song that originally leaked last year shocked fans when it made its way into a recent runway show. The track is called “Tranquilizer” and it’s never been officially released. Fans speculate that it’s the original version of what would come to be “United In Grief” from Kendrick’s album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Others have speculated that it could be even earlier than that with some saying it sounds more in line with his 2017 album DAMN. Fans hoping that the song being played means it’s destined for an official release might not want to hold their breath. Numerous high-profile artists have used fashion shows as unique opportunities to show off unreleased or unfinished material. Last year, FKA Twigs debuted a new song during a fashion show that is yet to be released. Though she has been teasing a new electronic-focused album where it could ultimately appear.

Yasiin Bey also performed a currently unreleased song that left him in hot water during a show last week. Cher and AE Edwards were recently spotted arm in arm arriving to Valentino’s Paris Fashion Week runway show. The duo showed out, each rocking glamorous black looks, and appearing to be back on after reportedly splitting in May. Cher, 77, wore a sparkling blazer, which she paired with black tights and some chunky boots. The hitmaker topped everything off with eye-catching earrings and a pair of shades.

The 37-year-old kept it simple with black pants and a satin shirt. He also matched the “Believe” performer with a pair of dark sunglasses. Though it’s unconfirmed whether to two of them are back together, new photos suggest they are. Last week, they were spotted enjoying what looked like a double date, alongside J Balvin and his girlfriend Valentina Ferrer.

The double date led many to believe they’re an item again, after Cher called off their wedding earlier this year. After news of their breakup went public, sources claimed they were never really that serious in the first place. Apparently, they weren’t even ever officially engaged. Despite criticism for their 40-year-age gap, it looks like their romance could have been reignited. “Cher knows full well that there’s a lot of skepticism about this romance but she couldn’t care less,” a source told Us in 2021. “She’s reveling in the attention and saying that she and AE have something very special going on that’s made her feel more alive and sexier than ever.”

Desto Dubb recently showcased a variety of new pieces from his streetwear brand, Awful Lot Of Cough Syrup, with a fashion show. The brand has collaborated with some major names in the past, including Young Thug, Coi Leray, Quavo, and more. With that being said, it’s no surprise that they got a very special guest to act as a model in the show. Crip Mac graced the stage, strutting his stuff and showing off a few pieces from the line.

The personality rocked a pair of blue camouflage cargo pants, some sneakers, and a dark-colored t-shirt. The star of his look was a baby blue jacket that he flexed while moving down the runway. While he turned to show the back, he revealed the brand name emblazoned in reflective white writing. Crip Mac looked as confident as ever showing off the fit, and fans are glad to see him branching out.

Crip Mac Makes His Runway Debut

During an interview with Lil Blood TV back in July, Desto Dubb discussed building the brand, revealing that it took sacrifice and balance. “It’s a lot of choices on the way to getting successful,” he described. “How you make them choices is what’s going to get you there. That’s the biggest thing is how you make them choices. And sometimes those choices ain’t based on what you was raised, what you was taught. It’s based off of how much do you want it.”

As for Crip Mac, the personality linked with Desto Dubb over the summer at one of the brand’s locations, trying on some clothes and getting the founder to sample Olde English. Teyana Taylor absolutely showed out in Paris in the past few days. The singer, model, actress, and overall icon was taking part in the Marine Serre Fashion Show in the French capital. Serre is one of the fashion industry’s biggest up-and-comers. Despite being just 31 years old, she is taking the fashion industry by storm. She won the LVMH prize for Young Fashion Designers in 2017.

Of course, everyone whose anyone is currently in Paris for Paris Fashion Week, one of the must-attend functions of the fashion world. The semi-annual event began on June 20 and concluded on June 25. Every house had their own show, with Pharrell notably serving as the Creative Director for Louis Vuitton show. However, that may soon be forgotten given the looks that Taylor was serving.

Teyana Taylor Stuns For Marine Serre

Taylor showcased two outfits on the runway. The first was a white mini-dress with writing across the bust and multi-colored streamers wrapping her around her body. The second outfit, seen in backstage footage reposted by The Shade Room, was even more jaw-dropping. Taylor strutted her stuff, and flaunted her curves, in a skin-tight black bodysuit adorned with silver crescent moons. It’s safe to say that Taylor ate and left absolutely no crumbs. Taylor had been seen around Paris, mostly wearing black, for other house shows during the week.

Social media was equally in awe of Taylor’s looks. “What do she do?’ I do everything! I move everything! Put that on my wedding ring! JT Explains Purse Snatching Incident At Paris Fashion Week Runway Show

As fashion week stylishly wages on over in Paris, the celebrities and their antics continue to make headlines worldwide. Most recently, it was the Mugler runway show that got people talking – but not specifically because of the clothes.

Rather, it was an incident between City Girl JT and one of the famous models that has been circulating online. In the clip, Venezuelan singer Arca confidently struts down the runway in a barely-there little black dress. When she sees the rap diva, seated alongside names like Christine Quinn and Charli XCX, she veers off course to grab her purse and a brief struggle ensues.

JT fought back a bit, but wasn’t anything like her usual feisty self in the situation, leading some viewers to believe the situation was a set-up. We now know they were right, as a video of the Florida native and foreign vocalist hugging afterward in Paris is making rounds now too.

Arca reposted the viral moment on her Instagram Story. “@thegirljt, thank you for being up for the mischief and playfulness part of the show,” she praised the 30-year-old. “You’re so beautiful it’s insane!”

Afterward, the “Ex For A Reason” artist put the same clip on her page. She added a message to the top of the screen, explaining what happened to curious followers. “So fun. I was so nervous and was scared I was gonna look obvious. Obviously not ’cause they think it’s real hehe. Good job,” she praised her new friend.

This season’s Paris Fashion Week has been making plenty of headlines. From Doja Cat’s undeniably eccentric outfits to Kylie Jenner donning a realistic lion’s head while sitting front row at Schiaparelli, the eye candy is endless.
