While discussing the game and the performance of Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, Miller’s comments took a turn toward LeBron James. In a clip aired during the first quarter of the playoff match, Edwards took responsibility for the Timberwolves’ loss in Game 3. Miller commended Edwards for his maturity, but his subsequent remarks about LeBron James stirred controversy.

Reggie said during the broadcast, “There are certain players that have veteran status that are on people’s Mt. Rushmore that are quick to deflect and blame.” He didn’t name names, but it’s easy to see he was taking a swipe at LeBron James. The comments divided fans on the subject. The Knicks and Pacers have a storied rivalry, and the series feels like it means something to both team’s fans beyond the playoffs. Pacers legend and Hall of Famer Reggie Miller was back at Madison Square Garden to call the game, and it was a big deal for Knicks fans. Reggie was a thorn in the side of the Knicks in the 90s, and the crowd made sure to give him a warm welcome. Knicks guard Josh Hart had to let Reggie know.

As the Knicks began to assert their dominance in the game’s final minutes, the New York fans decided to add their unique touch to the proceedings.  It’s good times in New York, but there are some major worries for the Knicks. Jalen Brunson left the game in the first quarter with a foot injury but was able to return in the second half. Knicks defensive stopper OG Anunoby left the game in the fourth quarter with what appeared to be a hamstring injury. That will be a major blow for the Knicks if he has to miss time. The Knicks’ big man Mitchell Robinson is currently out, and he has the same injury he received from Joel Embiid’s dirty play. Overall, whoever is playing for the Knicks will leave everything on the floor, and the fans will be 100% behind them, chanting, “F*** you Reggie.”

TNT enlisted him for this pivotal game to add to the drama, of course, and also due to the match coincidentally falling on the 29th anniversary of his legendary “8 points, 9 seconds” performance during the 1995 playoffs. Talk about full circle. 

In an interview with Dan Patrick on Monday, Miller shared his enthusiasm for the event while playfully teasing Knicks fans. “Just know, the Boogeyman is coming back to town to call the game,” he declared with a grin. “I am coming.” Oh, it sounds like he’s ready.

Reggie Miller knows how important a scorer is to a team. On Sunday, the Miami Heat saw Tyler Herro go down with a broken hand. An injury that will sideline the Miami star for the next month and a half. Herro’s absence will be a huge loss to the team. However, Miller tends to believe that his injury is the most vital injury of the series. Miller even believes that Herro’s absence is bigger than Giannis’ potential missing time for the Bucks. Yes, those words were actually said.

Toward the end of the Heat and Bucks game one, Miller discussed the injuries that happened during the game. Miller stated the loss of Herro will be more prominent for the Heat than if Giannis misses time for Milwaukee. Make no mistake, Herro is a great player for Miami. However, it feels if the Bucks are without Giannis, they are a completely different team. The Bucks are the overall one-seed in the Eastern Conference. The Heat rolled the Bucks 130-117 in game one. A very surprising result for the clubs. However, Giannis’ absence seemed to have a massive effect on what the Bucks were trying to accomplish.
