Drake has had a bit of a rough start to the year thanks to Kendrick Lamar. Although he entered his feud with Kendrick feeling confident, he ultimately got blown out thanks to “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us.” Overall, most fans believe Kendrick won the battle. This was subsequently strengthened by some weak verses on “U MY EVERYTHING” and the parody track “Wah Gwan Delilah.” However, Drake is now setting his sights on his new ranch in Texas, which cost him a cool $15 million.

Over the weekend, Drake was seen posted up at the ranch, where he was taking photos with horses. Moreover, his trip to Texas led to some speculation and reports that he is filming a music video. Some believe he is looking to dabble in country music. Meanwhile, others just think Drake is changing locations to get some inspiration. Whatever the case may be, he is clearly looking to make a new home for himself down South.

Drake Is Making A New Home For Himself

In the Facebook post above, Drake could be seen at the Brenham Saddle Shop. As the owners of the shop revealed, the superstar’s team called ahead of time. That’s when they let the shop know he would be swinging by. The owners then went on to note that they opened up the shot ahead of time for Drake, and that his entire team was courteous. They had nothing but good things to say about the artist. Furthermore, he even stopped to take a photo with all of them. It was a cool moment and one that will likely continue to happen in other shops as Drake looks to make connections in the state.

Kanye West’s $2 Million Ranch Has Been Completely Abandoned

Back in 2018, Kanye West spent more than $2 million on a ranch in Calabasas, California. The 300 acre property features a primary residence, two guest houses, and tons of natural land. The property has been used for a variety of things over the years, even once serving as the primary residence for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. The property has been used to host Sunday Service performances and served as the headquarters of West’s Donda Academy at different times in the years since.

West even briefly used the property as a residence again following his divorce from Kim Kardashian. But in the three years since then it seems to have been completely abandoned. New pictures shared by Page Six show the state of complete deterioration it’s been left to. The roof of the house appears to be deteriorating and there’s a massive hole in the front of the house that’s filled with debrief. Maintenance also hasn’t been kept up on the natural land included in the property. Photos show most of it is now completely unkept and overgrown. Kanye West’s Ranch Left To Ruin

Unsurprisingly, the story reminded Kanye fans of another one from earlier this year. West is currently still trying to sell a Malibu mansion he purchased in 2021 and having a lot of trouble doing it. That’s because he stripped down the entire property of essentials like windows and electricity. He put it up for sale last year and has had to drop the asking price twice since then, but still isn’t getting any takers. It’s unclear just how low he’ll need to go in order to sell the property.

Drake Purchases $15M Texas Ranch After Kendrick Lamar Feud

Things may not have worked out in Drake’s favor amid his viral feud with Kendrick Lamar, but evidently, the Toronto-born performer still has a lot of great things going for him. Recently, for example, it was revealed that he dropped $15M on a massive ranch in Brenham, TX. According to its listing agent Tonya Currie, it’s a rare find, and Drizzy was lucky to come across it at the right time. “Dos Brisas is a rare legacy ranch property that offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the right buyer, which we were able to find once we listed it bringing the price in line with the market conditions at the time,” she told CultureMap Dallas.

This isn’t the first time fans of heard of Drake moving down south, however. Back in October of 2023, the hitmaker shared the exciting news with a crowd at the Toyota Center. “I had to make it official first, but I’ve been looking for a long time, trying to figure out the right place for me to live, where I belong outside of Toronto,” he explained. “And I finally, finally after all these years, I found me a place in Houston, Texas. So y’all will be seeing me around.”

Drake Heads South

The 313-acre ranch was originally built in 2000 as a family retreat and was transformed into a resort this year. While it’s unclear exactly when Drake plans to move in, some fans suspect that he might be better off doing it sooner rather than later. Following his explosive lyrical battle with Kendrick, multiple people showed up at his mansion in the Bridle Path neighborhood of Toronto.

A shooting also took place near the performer’s home this month, leaving one of his security guards seriously injured.
