Yo Gotti’s Restaurant Prive Shooting, Surveillance Video Surfaces: WATCH

More insight is being shared about a tragedy that occurred outside of Yo Gotti’s restaurant Prive. The Memphis eatery is a staple in the city, mainly because of Gotti’s reach over his hometown. The Rap mogul does his best to stay out of trouble, and he’s been enjoying his time with his girlfriend, Angela Simmons. However, news of a shooting threw a wrench in his plans, and now, TMZ Hip Hop returns with an update.

According to reports, the shooting turned deadly, and two victims lost their lives. Five others were also reportedly injured during the incident. Prior to gunfire ringing out, a wild brawl reportedly ensued, and it was captured by surveillance footage. TMZ reported that the corridor inside Prive was crowded, and the fray had to do with two men: one in a red jacket and the other in blue. A group of people looked to have an intense back-and-forth before the man in red turned physical. A drink was then thrown before a fight erupted.

Yo Gotti Entangled In Controversy

He may not have been at the scene, but Yo Gotti has found his name attached to the incident. The surfacing of the video has only made things worse, as the extent of the altercation is seen in great detail. Victims were being punched even after being knocked to the floor. The man in blue was even on crutches but tossed them to join in on the chaos. Security did their best to calm everyone involved, but it only caused the group to move from inside the restaurant to the parking lot.

Once outside, things turned deadly. When the surveillance video cuts to the parking lot, one person has already been shot. The man in blue remains without his crutches and hopping around. Then, he’s seen pointing a gun at a man in black before opening fire. Despite the detailed footage, authorities are reportedly still searching for suspects. The status of the investigation is unclear, but it was noted that Yo Gotti wasn’t in Memphis at the time of the tragedy. Further, what launched the fight in the first place also hasn’t been shared. Shooting At Yo Gotti’s Restaurant Leaves 2 People Dead: Report

A shooting at a Memphis restaurant owned by Yo Gotti became a crime scene last night after a mass shooting left two people dead. According to TMZ and Fox News, police arrived at Memphis restaurant Prive at 11:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire erupting in the parking lot. Police said that an altercation took place inside Yo Gotti’s restaurant and eventually, spilled outside where the lethal shooting took place and left multiple casualties.

The reports say police found one man dead in the parking lot once they arrived at the scene. A second person passed away after they arrived at the hospital. However, the police also reported that four men and a woman were also shot at Yo Gotti’s establishment before they were taken to the hospital. The conditions of the five victims haven’t been disclosed yet. At this point, it’s unclear what prompted the shooting, though police are seeking information from anyone with knowledge of the situation.

Assailants At Large Following Shooting At Yo Gotti’s Restaurant

None of the victims of the shooting were members of Yo Gotti’s family, nor was he in the city when the incident took place. Police are still looking into all information surrounding the shooting, especially as they try to pinpoint what triggered the altercation. For now, they’re still looking for the perpetrators, who they said fled the scene immediately after the shooting. Yo Gotti’s restaurant appears to be shut down for now as new photos emerged of crime tape surrounding the establishment, which you can see above.

Unfortunately, police aren’t strangers to patrolling Prive. The restaurant was forced to shut down temporarily in 2021 following the death of Young Dolph as city officials and authorities felt as though the Yo Gotti-owned restaurant could be the site of retaliation. Police patrolled Prive after Dolph was shot to death 10 miles away from the restaurant. Thankfully, nothing occurred and the restaurant remained unscathed. HNHH is keeping our prayers with all of the victims and their families during this time. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates surrounding the shooting and if Yo Gotti issues a response on the matter.
