Damian Lillard Drops “Hint” In Latest Verse

Damia Lillard has long been known for loyalty. However, loyalty can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Lillard hasn’t shied away from the frustrations of playing for a franchise, not in the championship mix. Now it seems as if the NBA All-Star is continuing to push a change of heart. In a recent verse dropped by Lillard, it appears as if the Portland star is speaking on his tenure with the Trail Blazers. A tenure that has been nothing short of a phenomenal run with one franchise.

In Lillard’s latest freestyle, “Heaven or Hell,” the All-Star point guard drops a line on ring chasing. “Plotting on a ring, they say I should do the Lakers. F**k that loyal s**t.” Of course, the line is just a part of Lillard’s musical freedom as an artist. However, fans will still run with the line as it is a part of Lillard’s thoughts and heart. Lillard isn’t the type to tell the world his future career plans in a situation like this. If anything, Lillard would tell the Portland franchise his future intentions before anyone else.

Damian Lillard Will Remain Loyal Until The End

However, loyalty doesn’t mean Lillard will be a Trail Blazer forever. Lillard can give everything he has to the franchise and still feel the need to move on. The same can be said for the organization. Even if fans see Damian Lillard in another uniform, he should always be remembered for loyalty. Lillard has helped lead the franchise to one Western Conference Final in his time. Unfortunately, the team came up just short of reaching the NBA Finals.

The line is just a line from someone expressing their artistic side. No one should have any opinion other than that. However, it is hard to imagine that somewhere in Lillard’s mind, he doesn’t share the sentiment. Would the Lakers even be a good destination for championship aspirations next season? Are the Trail Blazers even thinking about moving Lillard? These questions aren’t even on anyone’s radar at the moment, which is okay. However, sooner or later, these questions will be looking for answers. Let us know in the comment section below if you think Lillard is seeking a better opportunity. Damian Lillard Reveals Why He Dislikes The Direction Of The NBA

Damian Lillard is one of the best guards in the entire NBA. In fact, many would say he is one of the best point guards ever. Overall, he was named to the NBA’s Top 75 team, which just goes to show that he is on track for the Hall of Fame. Although he has yet to win a title, he is still at the pinnacle of the sport. He has displayed incredible loyalty to the city of Portland, and that won’t change anytime soon. However, fans still get on his case for not having a ring.

One could attribute this to a new affliction in NBA discourse, simply called “ring culture.” This is the concept that nothing you do matters unless you win a title. Ultimately, it has become complete nonsense when you consider how amazing players are being completely discredited. Winning a title is not easy, however, NBA fans on Twitter think every player in the league should get a ring. It has become very silly, and Lillard spoke on this during an episode of JJ Redick’s podcast. Additionally, Lillard revealed how ring culture has him fearing the future of the NBA.

Damian Lillard Speaks

“I just don’t know if I can play a long, long time because I don’t enjoy what the NBA as a whole is becoming,” Lillard said. “While I understand we play to win championships—we all want to win the championship—we can’t keep acting like nothing matters. Like the rest of this stuff, the journey, doesn’t matter. We can’t keep doing that.” No matter how you feel about Lillard, he absolutely has a point. Ring culture has taken over NBA discourse, and now, 13-year-olds who hide behind Luol Deng profile pictures are telling legends that they are “scrubs.”

Hopefully, this trend changes very soon. NBA Twitter has been nauseating these days, and it is tough to see. Perhaps one could blame the Super Team era for this trend. Although, Super Teams are dying off, so maybe the trend will as well. As for Lillard, he is an amazing player who will be remembered for his contributions to Portland. Damian Lillard Drug-Tested After Dropping 71 Points

Damian Lillard is among the best players in the entire NBA. Overall, he is the only reason why the Portland Trail Blazers are worth watching. He is always coming through with some massive performances, and the fanbase loves to have him there. On Sunday, Dame had the best game of his life against the Portland Trail Blazers. Although the Rockets are bad, he still had a more than impressive outing as he dropped a cool 71 points. It is a total that matched Donovan Mitchell’s from earlier this season.

Moreover, Lillard is now only the eighth player in the history of the league to reach the 70-point mark. It is an amazing achievement to add to one’s resume. However, the NBA definitely felt like something could have been going on here. Immediately after the game, Lillard was drug tested by the league. In the end, nothing came of it, although you can tell that the point guard was annoyed about the whole thing.

Damian Lillard Scared Of Needles

“I mean, honestly, I was like, ‘are y’all serious?’ I did the urine test yesterday and they backed it up with the blood draw tonight after the game,” Lillard said. “That was actually the first time in my career being tested after a game. Aside from that, they know that I’m scared of needles. I know I got a lot of tattoos but when you’re doing a blood draw, it’s different from tattoos. It brought me down from here [up high] to the floor.” It is easy to see how something like this would take you away from your achievement. After all, shooting well has nothing to do with taking steroids. Clearly, the NBA feels differently.

Hopefully, Lillard will be able to take the day off and think about his recent accomplishment. He certainly deserves that, especially after carrying the same franchise for 10 years now. Blazers fans appreciate everything he provides to the game, and that will never change. Let us know what you thought of his performance, in the comments below. Damian Lillard Drops 71 Points During Epic Performance

Damian Lillard is one of the best point guards in the league, however, he isn’t talked about enough. Overall, it is easy to see why this is the case. He plays for the Portland Trail Blazers who are largely irrelevant right now. They do not have the pieces to be playoff contenders, and ultimately, Lillard has been loyal to them, to a fault. He wants to win a championship in Portland, but at this point, it remains to be seen if that is possible. Although most fans just want him to go elsewhere, namely the Lakers, it doesn’t seem like a real possibility right now.

That said, Lillard is known for exploding on offense. There have been multiple occasions in which he has popped off for a grand total of 60 points. However, he has never gone for 70. On Sunday, that changed in front of our very eyes as Lillard started out his game against the Rockets with 41 points in the first half alone. Subsequently, he went off for 30 more points in the second half. If you are counting properly at home, you will know that he dropped a grand total of 71 points, which is wild.

Damian Lillard Goes Off

This is the second 71-point game of the NBA season. Back in early January, Donovan Mitchell went for 71. It was an incredible match for Mitchell, who became the 7th player to score over 70 in a game. Consequently, Lillard is the eighth. Thankfully for the Blazers, they were able to secure the win thanks to Lillard’s performance. Had the team lost, it would have been embarrassing for the bench and all of the other starters. Although, the Blazers were playing the Houston Rockets which definitely helps.

For the Blazers, they are in a fight with teams like the Lakers for that final play-in spot. It is going to be a very difficult fight, but if Lillard keeps playing like this, then the team should be fine. As always, let us know what you thought of this performance, in the comments below. Damian Lillard Went Full Dame D.O.L.L.A. While The Trail Blazers Were Stuck On A Plane For Seven Hours

Damian Lillard won the Three-Point Contest at the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend last Saturday, February 18, and the Portland Trail Blazers’ leading man drained a shot from beyond half-court with ease in the following day’s All-Star Game. But that only scratches the surface of Dame’s range.

According to TMZ, The Blazers were scheduled to fly from Portland to Sacramento, California for their matchup with the Kings tonight, February 23, “but a severe snowstorm delayed their chartered flight for seven hours” last night, February 22.

While stranded, Lillard transformed into Dame D.O.L.L.A., his musical alter ego, to spit a freestyle over the beat to GloRilla’s “Tomorrow 2” remix featuring Cardi B (as noted by TMZ).

Lillard posted the video to his Instagram with the caption, “When you stuck on the plane for 7 hours and the flight get canceled [shrug emoji] … guess we try again TOMORROW [cry-laughing emojis]”:

“How the f*ck we stuck up in the snow? Guess we fly this b*tch tomorrow,” Dame rapped while reading from his phone. Later in the freestyle, he referenced his “Dame Time” nickname — “I’ma tap my wrist, it’s Dame Time / I give them fits” — and cleverly demanded, “Captain, let me in the pit!”

Lillard has been delivering cold bars for years, and he’s a respected rapper by his NBA peers and rap legends alike.

His debut project, The Letter “O,” arrived in 2016, and it housed collaborations with Lil Wayne and Jamie Foxx. Confirmed (2017), Big D.O.L.L.A. (2019), Live From The Bubble (2020) and Different On Levels The Lord Allowed (2021) followed suit. Wayne, Blxst, Mozzy, Q-Tip, and Raphael Saadiq were among the featured artists on Different On Levels The Lord Allowed.

Dame’s most recent offering also included “Kobe” featuring Derrick Milano and Snoop Dogg, a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant that appeared on the NBA 2K21 soundtrack.
