Nicki Minaj Was Reportedly Detained And Searched At An Airport In Amsterdam

Nicki Minaj should be on cloud nine following the expansion of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. However, the “Barbie World” rapper has experienced some turbulence in the mile high club.

Nicki was reportedly detained and searched at the airport in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Today (May 25), in a video uploaded to her official Instagram page, the entertainer revealed the tail end of an exchange with the supposed pilot of her chartered aircraft. During the encounter, he informed Nicki that her luggage needed to be inspected by local law enforcement after already being cleared by a soft check.

When asked why the matter was escalated, the representative said: “Because you filmed him.”

Nicki went on to explain further in the caption of the post. “They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show,” she wrote. “They took my bags before I could see them. Put it on the plane. Now, saying they’re waiting on customs. This is what it looks like when ppl are paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after all else failed. Everything they’ve done is illegal.”

The earlier video in question included her exchanged with a police officer.

It is unclear when the events took place, as Nicki as expected to be in Manchester, England for a sold-out show this evening. However, Nicki’s Amsterdam concert supposedly took place on Thursday, May 23.

Read Nicki Minaj’s full account of the incident below.

This isn’t the first time, Nicki expressed her frustrations after a mix-up with transportation professionals. On April 17, Nicki claimed that while traveling for her Montreal, Canada tour stop, her plane was intentionally being delayed. Eventually, Drake supposedly made a call and the show went on despite the significant delays.

Nicki Minaj and Cardi B may not see eye to eye, but they do agree on one thing — disrespectful concertgoers should be dealt with immediately.

Yesterday (April 20), during Nicki’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour stop in Detroit, Michigan, an attendee attempted to ruin the event for everyone. As Nicki rapped her crossover hit “Starships” (despite vowing never perform it anymore), a ticket holder seemingly tossed an object at the musician.

Fortunately, the item didn’t make contact with Nicki. Instead, she blocked the trinket, then she hurled it back in the direction that it was thrown from. In the clip captured by a bystander, venue security was seen working their way to the section in question. However, it is unclear if the culprit was tracked down. The show continued without any further interruption.

At another point of the concert, Nicki surprised fans with a few guest cameos. To pay homage to the Motor City, she brought out two rappers from the city. One of those musicians was none other than hometown hero Big Sean. The duo performed their 2011 “Dance (Ass)” Remix.

Fellow Detroit native, Sada Baby, made his way onto the stage for a performance of his 2020 single “Whole Lotta Choppas.” Nicki was sure to deliver her viral verse from the song’s remix for all to recite back to her.

Nicki Minaj hasn’t addressed the incident online. So, all’s well that ends well.

Nicki Minaj Issued A Call For Fans To Take A Period Of Celibacy And ‘Find Out Who You Are’

Nicki Minaj has been packing arenas on her Pink Friday 2 Tour, which has fallen in good favor with the Barbz. Over the course of the tour, Nicki has been performing hit-after-hit from her catalog, which spans nearly two decades. She has also shown love to her loyal fan base, by sharing stories with them, shouting them out to the audience, and offering little tidbits of advice.

During her DC show last night, Minaj had some words to say in regard to practicing celibacy.

“Stop being a f*cking hoe,” Minaj said to the audience. “Abstain from sex and find out who you are first. And then, the universe will do it for you.”

Many of the Barbz cheered Minaj on, however, some found the message surprising. Over the course of her career, Minaj has been outspoken about her sexuality — notably with hits like “Anaconda” and “Super Freaky Girl.” But closer to the end of her spiel, Minaj made it clear that any vow of celibacy doesn’t have to be permanent.

“Abstain from sex for a little while,” Minaj said. “But if a [man] ever fumbled me, he stupid as f*ck.”

The cancelation came seemingly without warning, just hours before Minaj was set to take the stage. Today (March 19), Minaj took to Twitter to express sadness for canceling the show.

She revealed that she had the flu, and promised fans that she is working to reschedule the show.

If you were all dolled up and ready for Gag City to breeze through the Big Easy, you’re out of luck.

Tonight (March 18), Nicki Minaj fans based in the greater New Orleans area had their hearts set on seeing her live. However, a post shared on the Smoothie King Center’s official Instagram page revealed that her Pink Friday 2 World Tour stop for this evening had been postponed allegedly due to an undisclosed medical issue.

“Due to doctor’s orders, Nicki Minaj must reschedule her NOLA show tonight,” read the note. “As Nicki is still sick, our team does not want to run the risk of getting others sick, and Nicki would not be able to give NOLA the show they deserve. We are working diligently to find a new date, so please hold onto your tickets, and we will inform you all soon.”

With just hours to spare before the performance was scheduled to kick off, ticketholders were not thrilled. In fact, they’ve begun airing their grievances in the post’s comment section.

“She ain’t just get sick a few hours ago. This should’ve been announced this morning or yesterday. This is extremely last minute, and I’m very frustrated,” one user wrote.

“Nobody is mad because she canceled. It’s the fact they waited four hours before the event to tell us officially,” another chimed in.

Fans across X (formerly Twitter) defended the “Press Play” rapper, pointing out that Nicki was fighting back a sickness during her headlining set at 2024 Rolling Loud California on Friday, March 15. Nicki hasn’t issued a statement. However, ticketholders are advised to check their email regarding information for the rescheduled date.

Katt Williams Had A Hilarious Response To Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2 World Tour’ Guest Opener Invite

On March 1, Nicki Minaj kicked off her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. Although the intense performance run features special guest Monica, the opening slot remains unfilled. Back in February, the “Beep Beep” rapper began to gauge her fan base to see who they felt would be a good fit.

Through a live stream, Minaj finally landed on “the busiest man in show business,” Katt Williams. During the broadcast, she urged her fans to relay her invitation. “Can y’all hit up Katt Williams,” she said. “Ask him what would be his price to be a part of the ‘Pink Friday 2 Gag City Tour?””

Well, Williams has finally responded to Minaj. On March 3, as part of his Dark Matter Tour stop in Charlotte, North Carolina, he made a hilarious joke about the potential business venture. “Nicki Minaj said she wanted me on her tour, and she told so many people a million people hit my phone at the same time,” he said. It scared me and Jesus. He shut all of AT&T down!”

Although Williams’ reply wasn’t exactly a proper yes or no, it was enough to hype ticketholders up online. There are still several dozen dates left on the Pink Friday 2 World Tour, but perhaps Williams would be down to join after he wraps up his contractual duties.

Although she didn’t manage to secure Katt Williams as a tour opener, she did treat fans to a set highlighting both her new album and catalog classics like “Anaconda,” “Moment 4 Life,” “Monster,” “Starships” and “Super Bass.”

Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2 World Tour’ Opening Night Was Nearly Overshadowed After A Video Surfaced Of Fans Fighting At The Show

Nicki Minaj came out swinging to kick off her highly anticipated Pink Friday 2 World Tour.

Unfortunately, so did a few of her devoted super fans, the Barbs. As the “Beep Beep” rapper took to the Oakland Arena stage on March 1, clips of her opening performance quickly flooded social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter). But there was one video that stole all the spotlight, and it didn’t involve Minaj at all. A now-viral visual shared on the platform showed several concertgoers involved in a vicious brawl.

In the clip, two attendees are seen punching another ticketholder. The blows exchange as security watches from afar before eventually intervening to separate the parties. With tensions still high, the last frame of the video shows the individuals yelling while being held back before it ends.

It is unclear what initiated the incident as none of the individuals have been publicly identified. Minaj also hasn’t addressed the viral video. However, she did take a moment to pen a touching note to her fans for their continued support days later. “Dear Barbz, I love you,” she wrote. “I really do. Always have. Always will.”

Minaj has several dozen shows left on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The next performance is slated for March 8 in Las Vegas, Nevada. View the full tour schedule (here), working setlist (here), and tour merch (here).
