USHER Postpones Opening Night Of “Past Present Future Tour” With Heartfelt Message

USHER, even 30 years and change into his career, is still a performer that’s in high demand. The Super Bowl, his residence in Las Vegas, ESSENCE, and Paris around this time last year are just few stages he’s rocked over the last 12 months. Additionally, USHER is someone who wants to give his very best for any venue he plays at. So, it’s why he’s deciding to postpone the opening night of his Past Present Future tour. Unfortunately, the notice is very last minute, as the things were supposed to get underway tonight in one of the many places he calls home, Atlanta.

The enormous trek across the United States is for his most recent record, COMING HOME. If you remember, it was released hours after his halftime performance. Initially, the set of dates was going to start on the 20th in Washington, D.C. But he added a handful of extra stops just a few days after revealing the tour, according to Rated R&B. Unfortunately, it’s unclear when he will hit the road. But for now, USHER had a heartfelt message to share about the reason for this decision.

“For my 30-plus year career, 100% of my blood, sweat and tears has gone into putting on the best performance and creating a memorable experience for my fans. I have every intention of doing that for this tour as well. Which is why I have to postpone tonight’s show and reschedule it for a later date to give my body a second to rest and heal,” USHER began. “You’re still going to get a bit of the past, some of the present and a unique look into the future on the rescheduled date but you’ll also be getting 100% of me. The last thing I want to ever do is disappoint you, the fans who have been eagerly waiting for this tour to start. However, I wouldn’t be the entertainer that I am if I can’t physically give you my best”.

Before signing off, he wrote, “My team will be sharing news of the rescheduled date soon. I can’t wait to celebrate this legacy with you”. What are your thoughts on USHER deciding to postpone the opening night of his Past Present Future tour? How do you feel about a lot of fans reacting so negatively to the news? Are you still planning on going to one of his tour stops now, why or why not? Is COMING HOME still in your rotation? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding USHER. Gunna Previews Music From New Album On “Bittersweet” Tour’s Opening Night

Gunna previewed music from his upcoming fourth studio album, One of Wun, during the opening night show of his Bittersweet tour. The concert comes after the release of his latest single from the project, “Whatsapp (Wassam),” which he shared last week.

When DJ Akademiks posted a clip of Gunna performing the track on Instagram, fans expressed their excitement in the comments section. One user wrote: “I knew gonna was gonna be the best since his Drip or Drown days, his flow is just too smooth.” Another compared the release to Kendrick Lamar’s recent output amid his ongoing feud with Drake. “This new gunna song is better than every Kendrick song so far,” they wrote.

Speaking with XXL for an interview last month, Gunna told the outlet that the new output is reflective of his growth as an artist. “I think it’s more like it speaks for yourself. It’s self-explanatory,” he explained. “You see the growth. You see me evolving as an artist. And that’s what I’m doing, just evolving as an artist.” He further elaborated on how his mindstate has changed over the years. “As I evolve, my music evolves, too. I’m not the same 24-year-old that was putting out Drip Season 3, you know what I’m sayin’?” he said. “Now I’m 30, and I’m dropping “Bittersweet” and A Gift & A Curse. That resonates with how I’m living. Back then, it did, too. But that was for that time. So, this time, I’m just evolving differently, but it transpired over to the music, too.” Check out the clip of Gunna performing new music below.

Drake & J. Cole Perform “In The Morning” For First Time In 10 Years: See Tour Setlist

The Big As The What? tour officially kicked off in Tampa on Friday (February 2), and fans couldn’t be more excited for this Super Bowl. Moreover, Drake and J. Cole reportedly performed a whopping 53 songs in total across their solo discographies and collaborative efforts for their opening show. Of course, some of these tracks were shortened, mixed with others, and altered to make it a cohesive and engaging rapid-fire experience. It was a lot of material from the Toronto superstar, which isn’t surprising considering that this is an “expansion” of his It’s All A Blur trek with 21 S*vage. Still, it’s been great to see highlights from this online, especially their first performance on their collab “In The Morning” in over a decade.

Furthermore, this setlist includes classic cuts from their early 2010s eras, as well as some of their more recent releases. Drake’s For All The Dogs shows up quite a bit here, and J. Cole performed an acapella version of one of his best 2023 features, Lil Yachty’s “The Secret Recipe.” In addition, the two also reflected strong chemistry from what we’ve seen online, which is unsurprising considering their close relationship and bond. One collab track they apparently didn’t perform this time, though, is “Evil Ways,” one of their most recent lyrical stunners.

Regardless, amid all their success and acclaim, we’re sure that they will find new ways to deliver this experience. They might change the tracklist here and there, plus hopefully accommodate for some special guests. All in all, this first night of the tour is a very good sign of what’s to come, and you can check out February 2’s setlist below to see that for yourself.
