Drake and Chingy might be from pretty different hip-hop eras, but they also have a lot in common. They are both big fans of Sexyy Red, and they apparently feel the same way about playing basketball in front of girls. Moreover, the 6ix God randomly took to his Instagram Story on Sunday night (August 18) to troll the St. Louis native over his “One Call Away” lyrics from 2003. “The next day I’m with the fellas at the case playing ball / Here she come with her friends, they posted up on the wall / Now I’m showing off, trying to dunk, trying to dribble / Break fast threw the middle just to see her smile and giggle,” he rapped on the cut.

“Nah chingy I felt this,” Drake wrote to Chingy on his IG Story, paving the way for a back-handed compliment. “Like why do I play ball better when the tings aren’t watching? You really struck a chord with this one goated lyric. Also the fact you said tryna dribble like off that bar we know you were a** at ball. But your ting showed up and you started doing too much like this real af you are a guy for that bar.”

Drake’s (Back-Handed) Praise Of Chingy

In other Drake Instagram news, a lot of folks are reading quite deeply into his Story posts and other activity as of late. Some recent snapshots, for example, made die-hards theorize as to what his next collaboration could be. Of course, the Toronto superstar knows exactly what he’s doing with these posts, and even if he’ll lay low for a while, he will still use social media to fuel excitement for his next move. Adidas Wins Class Action Lawsuit Involving Kanye West’s Antisemitic Comments & More

It appears that Adidas is coming out with a pretty major win in court. According to an exclusive piece from AllHipHop, the sneaker and apparel giant is avoiding potentially hefty lawsuit from company investors. This legal battle has been going on for over a year now and it stems Adidas not voicing the internal concerns about Kanye West to the public. The HRSA-ILA were the ones responsible for filing the suit and they felt that the German shoe company was specifically keeping Ye’s conduct under wraps from 2013-2018. Overall, Adidas won this lawsuit thanks to there not be enough solid evidence “showing misleading statements that could have swayed investor choices”.

“Certainly, that Ye allegedly engaged in such behavior while working with adidas is troubling. This Court does not condone what Ye allegedly did. But the question before this Court is not whether to admonish Ye or hold Adidas morally accountable for Ye’s conduct”, Judge Karin J. Immergut said. Later, she went on to question, “This Court is faced with a precise legal question: has [HRSA-ILA Funds] sufficiently pleaded facts showing that Adidas misled investors and thereby committed federal securities fraud? On the current record before this Court, the answer is no”.

The HRSA-ILA was a firm believer that Adidas knew about how ugly this partnership could have gone with Kanye West since 2013. If you remember, there were some truly odd and outlandish things that Ye did early on in his tenure with the three stripes. That included the Georgia MC having executives watch adult films at his Manhattan apartment and him drawing a sw***ka on a shoe during a meeting in Germany. Of course, things then spiraled further when he went on his various anti-Semitic rants in the 2020s.

50 Cent has addressed the criticism Hurricane Chris directed his way regarding the lineup for his upcoming Humor & Harmony Festival in Louisiana. The “A Bay Bay” rapper argued 50 didn’t platform any local artists. 50 took to social media with a response on Sunday, which prompted more remarks from Chris

“Hurricane Flex boy ya sh*t is wack, the f*ck you think you @FredoBang [face with raised eye emoji] ya sh*t gets no play in my ride. LOL,” 50 wrote on X (formerly Twitter). In another post, he added: “oh no you not gonna play that 1 song you got, Bay Bay just went on stage wit Master P. LOL.” Chris eventually fired back in a video recorded in his car. “You big dummy, you just proved my point. You don’t know sh*t about the city,” he said, arguing his career is far bigger than just one hit song. He went on to call him a “culture vulture” who is using Louisiana for profit.

Chris made his initial criticism in lengthy rant, earlier in the day, arguing 50 pumped money into the police department instead of fellow artists. “You threw a motherf*cking concert in Louisiana and didn’t book no Louisiana legends and put no bankroll in any Louisiana legends’ pockets but you paid the police half a million dollars. Overall, Shedeur was a sensation last season thanks to his play during the first four games of the year. However, as the season went on, it became apparent that the Buffaloes simply did not have the pieces to compete. Moreover, fans fell out of favor with Deion and his public comments about the other teams in the Pac-12. It was becoming too much, especially since the team’s results were not worthy of around-the-clock coverage.

Now, the Buffaloes are set to begin a new season and the expectations are elevated, especially with how much Deion has been hyping up his team. Additionally, it is a big season for Shedeur who is looking to show NFL scouts that he is a top-tier prospect for the league. In fact, in a new NFL Mock Draft, Shedeur Sanders was projected as the first overall pick, where he would be going to the New York Giants. In second is his teammate Travis Hunter, who plays offense and defense. This Mock Draft has him going to the New England Patriots.

As you can see in the tweets down below, many NFL fans were completely up in arms over this ranking.
