The Weeknd Reschedules Postponed “After Hours” Tour Dates

The Weeknd is heading back to The Land Down Under in just a couple of months, according to AllHipHop. Abel Tesfaye went on quite the historic tour last year celebrating his last two albums After Hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022). The After Hours Til Dawn Tour became a global event, however a couple of stops were canceled due to “schedule and logistical constraints”. From November through December of 2023, The Weeknd was going to be closing things out in Australia and New Zealand. Because of this pretty vague reason for shutting the fans out, the Canadian superstar felt it wasn’t right to leave them hanging.

So, earlier today, The Weeknd shared this exciting update via Instagram. “AUSTRALIA, I didn’t forget about you 🖤 See you in October. Ticket presale Aug 22. 🇦🇺 LINK IN BIO”. Yes, he is returning for a short time, four days to be exact starting October 5 in Melbourne, Australia at Marvel Stadium. Additionally, he will be there on the 6. Then, after about two weeks, the “After Hours” hitmaker will then hop on a flight to Sydney for shows on the 22 and 23 at Accor Stadium.

Sadly, residents of Brisbane and Auckland, New Zealand are going to be missing out this time around. Originally, the After Hours Til Dawn Tour stops were two nights in Brisbane and two in Auckland. While fans of those respective areas were upset, the fact that The Weeknd is doing this to begin with shows how much he cares about his supporters. He said it himself in a statement, “I want to make sure you all know I hadn’t forgotten about you. When I return now, it will be the right time, and I promise it will be such a special experience. I can’t wait to see you all!”.

What are your thoughts on The Weekend heading back to Australia after previously canceling After Hours Til Dawn dates? Are you surprised he dropped the original Brisbane and Auckland stops? How do you feel about him returning after all this time later? When do you foresee him dropping new music? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Lauryn Hill & Fugees Add More Dates To “Miseducation” 25th Anniversary Tour

Lauryn Hill has added several new dates for her The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill tour with the Fugees. A total of ten new cities have been added, including Vancouver, San Francisco, and Atlanta. The tour will now run from October 3 in Melbourne, Australia through December 13 in Boston, Massachusetts.

“I’ve almost felt compelled to carry a torch or to keep a light shining regarding the continual performance of the Miseducation album,” Hill said in a press statement, as noted by The Fader. “I believe there’s been a reason for that—and the Fugees coming back together for performances too feels like unfinished business we’re destined to handle. The connections are real and uncanny, and the magic and synergy between us has not been deterred by time.”

Usher Announces 15 Additional Dates For Las Vegas Residency

Usher just announced 15 additional dates for his residency in Las Vegas, which will run from February to October this year. Moreover, the R&B star will perform a staggering 44 shows at the prestigious Park MGM, at Dolby Live. Furthermore, the My Way residency will give fans shows all throughout the year. Of course, Usher found incredible success in the past two years from his residency in Vegas, much like other artists such as Britney Spears and Mariah Carey. While he switched venues from Caesars Palace to the MGM, he’ll likely still grace fans with a fantastic spectacle.

“It’s that time again!” he wrote in the additional dates announcement via Twitter to his fans. “VEGAS, I’m back! By popular demand, I’ve added 15 NEW shows to my Vegas Residency through October 2023!“ Overall, Usher decided to capitalize on the momentum and make this even more of an event. If you’re interested in tickets, these latest shows will go on public sale on February 25th at 10am PT. Meanwhile, fan presale tickets for the new shows go live on the 22nd of February, also at 10am PT. Also, if you want that presale password, go ahead and text (404) 737-1821.

Usher’s New Residency Dates

Furthermore, Usher’s next show is this Friday, February 24th, followed by another on Saturday and three more the following week. In addition to these new shows, the 44-year-old also excited fans with the recent promise of new music. Moreover, he teased an upcoming single titled “GLU,” and its music video starring Lori Harvey. While he didn’t share a release date for his next musical outing, at least he has a whole nine months to work it out before his residency ends. In fact, maybe he can test it out with his adoring audience.

Meanwhile, the soulful superstar also jokingly responded to G Herbo’s claims that he’s a better singer. After sharing his rendition of Usher’s “Superstar,” the Chicago rapper gassed himself up. “That was decent, wasn’t it, though?” he stated. “That was decent. That boy good!” captioning the video with “@usher can’t f**k wit me on my worse day.” His response. A simple cap emoji. Whether you’re looking forward to his new shows or new music, return to HNHH for the latest on Usher.
