JT Wants To Launch Her Own Makeup Line, Teases “Big” Pending Brand Deal

It goes without saying that it’s been a major year for JT, as the City Girl has found tremendous success with her several solo singles. She proved that she’s here to stay with her latest release, “Okay,” and has even more on the way. Her upcoming solo mixtape City Cinderella is slated to drop sometime this year, though an official release date has not yet been confirmed.

Fans are certainly looking forward to hearing what else JT has up her sleeve musically, but it looks like new songs aren’t the only thing they can expect from the Miami-born performer. During a recent appearance on All Things Keyshia Ka’oir, she expressed serious interest in taking on some new business opportunities. Specifically, she wants to get into makeup and boob tape.

JT Expresses Interest In New Business Ventures

“I want to do boob tape, and of course makeup, but first before I start makeup I kind of want to be more educated so I’m in [talks] for a brand deal right now,” she explained. “Hopefully I get it, fingers crossed, it’s a big brand. But once I do the brand deal I want to learn more about it and then get into the business, cuz I think people start businesses without knowing anything… No.” Ka’Oir was more than supportive, even offering to give JT some tips as the CEO of her own cosmetics company. “I can help you,” Ka’Oir interjected. “Because I want you to have a deal.”

Of course, fans are now flooding the femcee with demands for certain products, with most agreeing that they’d love to see lipsticks, glosses, and liners. Jhene Aiko Unveils New Wellness Brand’s Sound Bowl Collection

Ethereal songstress, hardworking mother, and spiritual healer are all checked off on Jhene Aiko’s proverbial list of accomplishments. Now, she can add a growing entrepreneur to the roster as she unleashes a line of crystal sound healing products. The Slauson Hills, Los Angeles native dropped the collection of ALLEL sound bowls on Feb. 22 in an effort to engage the collective throughout their healing journey. She says it best on Sail Out’s “Stay Ready (What A Life)”: “there’s no better time than now.”

Jhene Aiko has used sound bowls in several past performances and meditations, making this an all-too-fitting venture. On the Go to Heal website, the singer details the significance behind ALLEL. Each sound bowl received a bit of Jhene’s own “living light [&] eternal love” as she activated and played each one herself. In an Instagram Reel to promote the sound bowls, the mom of two previews reverb from each of the instruments. ALLEL “represents balance, protection, and divine guidance,” which is made present by the energy given off the bowls’ vibrations. The description also provides imagery of the “all-encompassing, all-embracing” symbol, which will be featured in the brand’s upcoming line of jewelry.

Jhene Aiko Previews Different Sound Bowls In New Line

Each alchemy sound bowl can be heard on their respective landing pages. Most start at $747, going up to as much as $1200 and better for their larger versions. They’re also available in sets, with most nicknamed after Jhene’s songs and projects. And for those still not too sure what this all means, the singer graciously provides a FAQ page. In an interview with Variety, Jhené Aiko explains how she incorporates the sounds on each Chilombo track. As a teenager, Aiko found them to be “an alternative to self-medicating,” the 34-year-old tells. “I just found them very relaxing and soothing, and even addictive to play.” In addition to her new sounds, Jhene has also found success in the release of her Sleep Soul projects, a collection of R&B curated specifically for babies. Surely she and Big Sean’s son, Noah, is a fan. The music-bred baby is a fan of his mother’s music, proven in TikToks with his celebrity parents.
