Bronny James Commits To USC

Bronny James, son of NBA star LeBron James, announced his commitment to USC on Saturday. The 6-foot-3 guard is currently rated as a four-star recruit and the 19th-ranked prospect in 2023. Bronny made the announcement in a post on Instagram. The decision will allow him to stay close to his father, who currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.

“Fight On,” Bronny captioned a photo of himself in the USC locker room. According to the Los Angeles Times, Bronny also seriously considered committing to Ohio State and Oregon. He also mulled the option of playing with the G League Ignite and foregoing his college career. Bronny, who is 19 years old, will be eligible for the NBA Draft in 2024.

At USC, Bronny will join the top guard in his senior class, Isaiah Collier. The two previously played together in the backcourt during a pair of all-star games in April. “It’s been great playing with him,” Collier told Yahoo Sports. “Just these last couple of weeks and getting to know each other as players. He’s a great shooter. I’m a great passer and, yeah, my pitch to him is just to stay home and we can really play well together.”

Bronny averaged 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.8 steals during his senior season at Sierra Canyon High School. Last month, he played in front of NBA scouts at the Nike Hoop Summit. “I just want to show them [NBA scouts] that I can play and I belong here,” Bronny told reporters after a practice for the event. “A lot of people don’t think I should be here and I’m just here to prove that I do belong [with this group].” USC finished second in the Pac-12 last year and was a 10-seed in the NCAA tournament. They went on to lose to Michigan State in the first round.

College Football Playoff Unveils Format For 12 Team Bracket

The College Football Playoff was one of the most significant changes in college sports. However, the change by the NCAA has been seen as the greatest move by the league in recent memory. Before the playoff, the national championship game was decided by computers and numbers. Now the biggest game in college football is earned by the best teams winning their way to the game. However, now the chances of making the big game just got a little bit harder.

The NCAA has announced that the four-team playoff will soon be expanding to twelve. Fans longed for the opportunity to see a college playoff. Now the desire for more teams will be coming soon. On Friday, the NCAA unveiled the first look at the new playoff system. With each game in the format earning the title of an already-titled bowl game. According to the new format, each game will be named after one of the series’ iconic New Year Six Bowl Games. Take a look at the new format in the tweet below.

College Football Playoffs Set To Expand

At the same time, many fans believe the NCAA already had the format right. Since its inception, the playoff has been four teams. However, even with just four teams, blowouts still occurred. Including last year when TCU thrashed Michigan for a shot at the National Championship. So many believe that adding more teams will only bring more blowout scores in the process. However, adding more teams will undoubtedly bring more cash to the NCAA. Which we all know is the ultimate end goal.

Now the debate on who should make the playoff should be settled. If twelve teams are a part of the series, then no one will be missing out. However, one should still expect to see the same suspects making a run at the championship. Including the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama, and Ohio State. But now, teams that may not always get the chance will at least get to say they were a part of the moment. Do you think the College Football Playoffs committee is making the right choice to expand the format? Let us know what you think in the comment section. Angel Reese NIL Evaluation

Angel Reese is arguably the most popular NCAA Women’s Basketball star of all time. Since helping lead the LSU Tigers to the National Championship, Reese has been a popular topic. Including recently when Shaq stated she is the best athlete in the history of LSU athletics. Now it seems her advertising potential is starting to see movement. NIL has been a huge change in the way college athletics are handled. College athletes getting the chance to make their own income have seen so many positive stories already.

Now it seems that Reese could be ready to cash in on her own NIL opportunities. According to the popular college recruiting site ON3 Sports, Reese could make history. The site has its own NIL valuation system, and it shows that Reese has become a megastar. Reese’s NIL valuation currently sits at $1.3 million. According to the site, “She has gained over 2 million followers across her social media platforms since the beginning of March Madness.” This makes her the highest projected earner in all of Women’s College Basketball.

The Legend Of Angel Reese Continues To Grow

Knowing this information makes a ton of sense as to why Reese decided to stay at LSU. This kind of money is way larger than what is made by players in the WNBA. Sadly women athletes’ financial comparison to the men, has long been an issue in professional sports. However, Reese is one of the many women’s stars that has begun to change the game. The $1.3 million potential earners are larger than many in the men’s NCAA. Reese is just further proof that fans are interested in women’s athletics.

Angel Reese has reached superstar status. Even when the media wanted to discuss things other than her game, Reese stood for what she believed in. A lot was discussed about her on the court celebrations. However, that is seemingly all in the past. Now Reese’s talents are getting noticed by all the right people. What are your thoughts on NIL in college athletics? Do you believe it is fair for NIL to be uncapped? Give us your thoughts on the situation in the comment section. DJ Wagner’s New NIL Deal Has The Kid Riding In Style

A lot of the headlines after last night’s McDonald’s All-American Game went to Bronny James Jr. Which is understandable, given the nature of who he is. However, if you’re looking for other stars at the event, look no further than DJ Wagner. Wagner dazzled fans of the event, scoring all 19 of his points in the second half. The Top-5 recruit’s performance led him to earn the MVP award of the game, along with helping seal the victory for the East.

However, it isn’t just the game that is helping Wagner gain attention in social media circles. NIL has been nothing but positive since its inception. Some may have you believe that there needs to be a stopping point to it. This is why my response is maybe the NCAA should slow down on how much they make. That’s something that won’t be happening any time soon. Since the NIL train is still going strong, kids like Wagner can ride to school in style. Well, maybe not everyone can get this sweet of a hookup.

DJ Wagner Is The Coolest Kid On Campus

Thanks to his friends at LexExotics, Wagner can now cruise around Lexington in his brand-new Rolls Royce. An incredible partnership for a kid looking to make a name for himself. Wagner will join an all-star cast at Kentucky, as the Wildcats have signed four of the Top-10 recruits in the 2023 class. Kentucky also lays claim to the top class in the nation, with a fifth signing being the 30th-best player in the country. NIL deals will not be in short supply for these future Wildcats.

How anyone can see a downside to NIL is beyond comprehension. Kids are finally getting to live the life they always dreamed of and helping families along the way. NIL isn’t just fancy cars. Many stories of NIL involve helping others, which is something I have no doubt that Wagner will be a part of. What’s your opinion on NIL? Good? Bad? Tell us how you feel in the comment section below. Donald Trump Attends NCAA Wrestling Tournament While Awaiting Potential Arrest

Donald Trump was in attendance at the NCAA wrestling tournament at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Saturday night. Senator Markwayne Mullin reportedly invited the former president to the event, according to TMZ. The two posed for photos together and waved at fans inside the venue.

His appearance came just hours after revealing that he expects to be arrested on Tuesday. He explained in a fiery post on Truth Social that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg intends to indict him over the infamous Stormy Daniels hush-money investigation. Daniels has also agreed to make herself available as a witness, or for further inquiry in the investigation. Additionally, she dissed the former president on Twitter. The arrest could have major implications for Trump’s reelection bid in 2024.

“NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD AND FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK,” Trump wrote in his post.

Before ending his statement, Trump instructed his followers to “PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!.” Of this idea, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is a loyal ally of Trump, disagreed. “We don’t need to protest about the Communists Democrat’s planning to arrest Pres Trump and the political weaponization of our government and election interference,” Greene wrote on Twitter. “These idiots are sealing their own fate in 2024 because the silent majority has two feelings right now about the current regime. Fear and anger. That is the most powerful combination when election time comes. And the Democrats are driving that force with their own corrupt actions.” Check out Greene’s post below.

Alabama, Kansas, Houston, and Purdue Grab No. 1 Seeds in NCAA Tournament

Are you ready for basketball? The 2023 NCAA Tournament is set with the Alabama Crimson Tide owning the No. 1 overall seed.

The achievement comes as the team continued to excel through headlines of a murder charge and criticism of the Nation’s top player Brandon Miller.

Kansas, Houston, and Purdue are joining Alabama at the No. 1 slot in the tournament.

“It was an interesting process, and it took a little while,” Chris Reynolds, the tournament committee chair, said to CBS. “However, what I will say is this: Those teams at the top, they performed consistently throughout the year. And so we considered about six or seven teams at the top. But at the end of the day, those four teams are the teams we selected.”

A region to watch is the West, which has a strong block of contenders in Kansas, Gonzaga, UCLA, TCU, and Uconn, while Cinderella possibility Iona hangs in the 13th spot.

SOURCE SPORTS: Jay Wright Retiring as Villanova Men’s Basketball Coach After 21 Years of Service

FQ1Jl nXMAEuh0h

Villanova men’s basketball head coach Jay Wright didn’t want a farewell tour. He wanted to retire quietly, and that’s exactly what he did on Wednesday. After 21 years of being the head coach at Villanova, Wright is retiring from the sidelines ending an era of excellence at Villanova that lead to multiple National Championships and Final Four appearances.

“Over the past 21 seasons, I have had the opportunity to live out a professional dream as the head coach at Villanova,” Wright said. “Patty and I have been blessed to work with incredible, gifted young men who allowed us to coach them and brought us unmatched joy. We cannot overstate our gratitude to the players, coaches, and administrators who have been with us on this path. It has been an honor and a privilege to work at Villanova, especially under Father Peter and Mark Jackson.”

Villanova said Wednesday that Wright would take a new role as special assistant to the university’s president. Fordham’s Kyle Neptune, who spent ten years under Wright as a video coordinator and an assistant coach, will take over as Villanova coach.

Wright was one of just three active coaches to have won multiple national titles. Wright has been approached for years to coach in the NBA and declining such offers for years now. While he wouldn’t be on the sidelines for Villanova, he would still be around the program overlooking it from a distance.
