Killian Hayes & Mo Wagner Altercation Leads To Absurd Number Of Suspensions

If you were watching the NBA on Wednesday night, then you probably saw what took place between the Magic and Pistons. We almost had ourselves another Malice at the Palace as Killian Hayes knocked out Mo Wagner. It was a wild scene that had NBA Twitter exploding.

Overall, it started when Wagner shoved Hayes into his own bench. From there, Hayes came out and subsequently punched Wagner in the back of the head. Wagner immediately keeled over as if he were knocked out. Moreover, numerous players from the Magic left their bench, which is technically an automatic suspension.

NBA Drops The Hammer

In the following tweet, you can see that the NBA came through with multiple suspensions for those involved. After all, you can’t have players knocking each other out. Furthermore, you cannot have players leave their benches as it could cause a huge security breach.

Killian Hayes got the worst of it as he was given a three-game suspension. Additionally, Hamidou Diallo of the Pistons got one game, while Mo Wagner got two games. From there, eight players on the Magic were assessed one-game suspensions for leaving the bench. The following players were: Cole Anthony, Mo Bamba, Wendell Carter Jr., R.J. Hampton, Gary Harris, Kevon Harris, Franz Wagner, and Admiral Schofield.

For their next game, the Magic will have to be making a few phone calls to their G-League affiliate. Of course, it is just one game, although it is going to be a tough one for sure. Losing some of your best players to suspension will always lead to some negative outcomes. Either way, it’s good to see the Magic defending their own guys.

Did LeBron James Just Hint At Retirement?

LeBron James is about to turn 38 years old tomorrow. At that age, most players are thinking about retiring from their sport. However, LeBron is playing at an incredible level right now, which means it would be a waste for him to quit now. Overall, he still has more accolades to wrack up.

Last night, however, James made some very interesting comments about retirement. According to Kyle Goon of the Orange County Register, James doesn’t want to continue missing the growth of his kids. LeBron Speaks On Retirement

Per Orange County Register:

“I don’t have a number. I know as long as my mind stay in it, I can play at this level for a minute… I will make sure my body is taken care of and I’ll continue to put in the work.

“I think about how much longer I’m going to play the game… I don’t want to finish my career playing at this level from a team aspect. I’ll still be able to be [competing] for championships because I know what I can still bring to any ball club with the right pieces.

“I think about my son graduating high school soon, going off to college and I’m still playing. My youngest son [Bryce] will be a junior next year — how much more time I’ll miss. So throughout the course of a day, to the weeks, to the months, I think about a little bit of everything. You know? Think about how much of the world I’ll see when I’m done playing the game. At the end of the day, I keep the main thing the main thing.”

Skip Bayless Rips Into LeBron James

Skip Bayless has made a career off of being a LeBron James hater. For some, this is incredibly sad. For others, this is peak entertainment. Bayless certainly knows how to be a polarizing figure, and that will never change. However, it is ultimately what has made him so famous.

Recently, LeBron and the Lakers lost to the Miami Heat. After the game, LeBron was asked if winning is really his priority right now. James came right out and said that it was. Although the Lakers are playing horribly, LeBron’s stats are still outstanding, which ultimately led to the question.

“I’m a winner & I want to win,” LeBron said. “I want to still compete for championships & that’s been my passion & goal since I entered the league as an 18yo kid out of Akron, Ohio…Playing basketball just to be playing basketball is not in my DNA anymore.”

Skip Bayless Reacts

Bayless did not appreciate this response one bit. Overall, Bayless has been trying to prove to everyone that LeBron just cares about stats right now. That said, he unleashed a rant today about how LeBron needs to stop lying. Simply put, he finds it “unbecoming.”

“This is unbecoming of LeBron. LeBron is better than this,” Bayless said. “LeBron wants to win, I get it. But I just didn’t want to hear this now from LeBron. I don’t think his teammates wanted to hear this right now.”

Bayless will find any reason to disparage LeBron, and this was one of the better reasons he could find. It might be sad, but oh boy does it get FS1 those sweet, sweet ratings.

LeBron James Reveals His Current Mindset

LeBron James is one of the best basketball players to ever live. He is top two on most people’s all-time lists, and there is a case to be made that he is the best ever. However, many are set in stone that the GOAT is actually just Michael Jordan.

Either way, LeBron is currently on a mission. Part of that mission is chasing down Kareem for the all-time scorer’s title. As it stands, James is just under 600 points back. On his current trajectory, he would break the record in about 19 games. This would be a massive achievement that fans can’t wait to see happen.

LeBron Speaks

Last night, LeBron got just a bit closer to the record as he scored 27 points against the Miami Heat. Unfortunately, the Lakers still lost. Overall, this has been the story of the season. LeBron plays well, but his team still ultimately fails him.

Following last night’s game, LeBron addressed the media and revealed his current mindset. Some feel as though he is stat padding to chase Kareem. However, LeBron assured people that he wants to win, first and foremost.

“I’m a winner & I want to win,” LeBron said. “I want to still compete for championships & that’s been my passion & goal since I entered the league as an 18yo kid out of Akron, Ohio…Playing basketball just to be playing basketball is not in my DNA anymore.”

Competing for a championship is likely out of the question this season. The Lakers simply do not have the juice right now, regardless of how well LeBron has played. It’s sad, but it is true.

Overall, it was a very shocking scene as numerous Magic players jumped off the bench to start a fight. It was almost a Malice at the Palace situation, however, it was eventually broken up. Now, numerous players could be facing some huge suspensions.

Killian Hayes Ejected

Following the altercation, Hayes and Wagner were both ejected from the match. Additionally, the PA announcer made sure to tell people that if they got up, they could be arrested. They did not want the fans to start any sort of revolt and make things worse.

The NBA has a lot to think about over the coming days. Some suspensions are certainly in order here. After all, it is not every day that one of its players just straight up gets knocked out in the middle of a game.

Skip Bayless Finds A Way To Downplay Luka Doncic’s Historic Game

Skip Bayless is a generational hater. It isn’t common for someone to be as much of a hater as Skip is. However, Bayless is a one-of-a-kind individual. Whether or not that is for better or for worse, is really up to you to decide. Regardless, it has made Bayless some big bucks.

Bayless typically loves to hate LeBron. Although, with LeBron looking to retire in a few years, Bayless needs a new target. For now, it seems like that target is Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks. No matter how well he does in a particular game, you can be sure Bayless will say something about it.

Skip Bayless Vs. Luka

Last night, Doncic scored 60 points while notching 21 rebounds and 10 assists. No player in the history of the NBA has ever had this statline. Even Wilt Chamberlain has never accomplished this. However, it still was not enough to make Skip happy as he delivered a baffling take on Undisputed.

“I’ll go to an 8 on the impressive scale. We have to take into account the opposition, which was an embarrassment. The Knicks were overmatched against Luka,” Bayless said. “Four of the five best players weren’t even playing for the Knicks. The Knicks played all of OT with the same 5 guys. They were overpowered and overmatched, it’s shameful.”

Instead of giving Luka props, he decided to just blame the other team for his great performance. Overall, it is yet another case of some amazing generational hating from Bayless. At this point, you just have to expect it.

If you actually appreciate quality basketball, then you can see Luka’s best highlights, below. Let us know what you thought of Luka’s game, in the comments section.
