Khalid Announced His Upcoming Single ‘Adore U’ And It’s Dropping Soon

Two months ago, former American Teen Khalid returned with the first single from his long-awaited third studio album, “Please Don’t Fall In Love With Me.” A brokenhearted ballad warning a potential paramour to stay away for her own safety, the single signaled the next chapter in the story of Khalid is rapidly approaching.

The next page in that chapter will be a follow-up single, “Adore U,” which Khalid announced today on his social media channels, sharing the single artwork and promising its release on June 14th.

As with “Please Don’t Fall In Love With Me,” Khalid shared a snippet of the song ahead of its release. It takes a more openhearted approach than its predecessor, with Khalid inviting his companion to “fall into my arms.”

Although the title of Khalid’s album has been known for some time, it’s been through a long gestation process that has seen Khalid slowly work his way toward a version of the project that he feels best serves his artistic vision. Announced in 2021 as Everything Is Changing, the album will be Khalid’s first full-length release since dropping his second album, Free Spirit, in 2019. In the meantime, he released a mixtape, Scenic Drive, in 2021.

“Adore U” is out on 6/14 via RCA.

Kanye West To Countersue Lauren Pisciotta, Alleges She Solicited Sex And Demanded A $4 Million Salary

Last night, it was revealed that Kanye West was being sued by a former Yeezy employee by the name of Lauren Pisciotta. According to initial reports, Pisciotta was accusing Kanye of sexual harassment. Overall, Pisciotta alleged that Kanye had sent her sexually explicit text messages and was essentially coming on to her. Furthermore, she claims Ye was paying her $1 million per year on the stipulation that she would quit OnlyFans. These were massive allegations, and it appears as though Ye and his team have already responded.

In a report from TMZ, a rep for Ye made the claim that Pisciotta has been blackmailing and extorting Ye for millions of dollars. Moreover, they allege that she demanded a $4 million per year salary at one point. The rep also goes on to say that Pisciotta was allegedly the one soliciting sex from Ye and sending him nudes. Moreover, it was noted that Pisciotta allegedly started extorting Ye once he refused her advances. At this point, it is a he-said, she-said situation.

“In response to these baseless allegations, Ye will be filing a lawsuit against Ms. Pisciotta, who actively pursued him sexually to coerce employment and other material benefits, then engaged in blackmail and extortion when her advances were rejected,” the representative said. […] “It is evident that Ms. Pisciotta leveraged her association with Ye and his company, and her proximity to him, to seek material gains, clout, and employment through inappropriate means.” They finish by saying she’s completely made up lies about Kanye.

I don’t want people to pocket-watch too crazy. On a low month, I’ll pull in a little hundred piece [$100,000]. Ebro Reacts To Method Man’s Criticisms Of Summer Jam

Over the weekend, Wu-Tang Clan legend Method Man took the stage at this year’s Hot 97 Summer Jam alongside Redman. Though the pair seemed to deliver a performance up to their standards, Meth wasn’t happy with the results. He took to social media following the performance to claim that he wouldn’t be back at the legendary festival. The reasons he gave were that the crowd was no longer there for him and the generational divide was too large.

In the comments and all over social media fans speculated what could have led to the underwhelming reception from the crowd. Some speculated that the lineup of the festival didn’t do the pair any favors. Headliners for the show included numerous contemporary artists like Doja Cat, Sexyy Red, and Ty Dolla $ign. They weren’t the only veteran acts on the roster as Eric B & Rakim also took to the stage. Despite that, many speculated the fans weren’t familiar with Method Man’s music or style. Earlier this week, Ebro and his Hot 97 radio co-hosts discussed what Meth had to say and the reasons for his bad experience. Check out some of their discussion below.

Ebro In The Morning Reacts To Method Man Comments

One of Ebro’s co-hosts claimed that the audience just wasn’t used to seeing an actual rap show. “It felt like the crowd wasn’t used to seeing a real show. They were kinda like staring in amazement. There wasn’t booing or any of that. This is crazy — they’re rapping,” DJ Kast One said. They went on to compare the performance to Method Man’s set just a day before at Roots Picnic, which apparently had a much more involved energy.

What do you think of Ebro and his co-host’s reaction to Method Man’s claims that he isn’t coming back to Hot 97 Summer Jam anymore? Do you think the festival is to blame for the bad experience he had with the crowd in attendance? Let us know in the comment section below.

Rihanna Announces Fenty Hair Products, But Fans Just Want To Know Where the Album Is

Rihanna is expanding her business empire yet again. Today, the “Lift Me Up” singer announced the impending launch of Fenty Hair, the latest addition to her billion-dollar business portfolio, which already includes the lingerie line, Savage X Fenty, the Fenty Beauty cosmetics line, and a collaborative partnership with sportswear brand, Puma. She also announced the launch date: June 13.

“a new family is moving in!,” she wrote on social media. “#fentyhair is pullin up and it’s time to finally have the hair experience you’ve been waiting for.
you know how much switching my hair up matters to me. I’ve had almost every texture, color, length, from weaves to braids to natural- so I am launching a flexible line of products for not only every hair want, but every single product is designed to strengthen and repair all types of hair, which is what we truly need! It’s time to play and get stronger by the style 💁🏿‍♀️

Fans seemed enthused, but as with just about any Rihanna announcement in the past four years, they also met the news with an increasingly predictable response: More questions about Rihanna’s next album. “You releasing everything but an album!” wrote one fan in the replies. “Is this “Fenty Hair” the name of the new album or???” wondered another. Others simply expressed their excitement for yet another Fenty product to add to the collection.

Welp. Can’t please everybody, I guess. You can find more information about Fenty Hair here.

Why Did Method Man Say He’ll ‘Never’ Perform At Hot 97’s Summer Jam Again?

Method Man had a busy weekend for himself to kick off June. With Redman by his side, the duo had a pair of performances this past weekend with the first being at The Roots Picnic in Philadelphia and the second being at Hot97’s Summer Jam in Long Island, New York. The former seemed to go without issue, but the latter left Method Man with a sour taste in his mouth. Hours after completing the Summer Jam performance, Method took to Instagram to say that he will “never” perform at the festival again.

Method Man Summer Jam 2024 Critique

“Not our crowd at all,” he wrote after the performance at UBS Arena. “Thanks again, New York and the whole tri-state (that showed up to the event) plus Pete and Ebro. I got love for you guys. But never again.. at this point the generation gap is just too wide for me. #nevercomingback.”

Method Man and Redman appeared on the Summer Jam lineup alongside Doja Cat, Sexyy Red, Offset, Sleepy Hallow, 41 (Kyle Richh, Jenn Carter, Tata), and Tee Grizzley who are all artists that entered the hip-hop game at least two decades after Method Man’s peak in it. So, in his defense, his gripe with the “generational gap” at the festival is absolutely warranted. This gap was presumably not felt at The Roots Picnic where artists from all decade, past and present, were included in the lineup.

The-Dream Was Sued For Rape And Sexual Battery By His Former Protégée

Terius Gesteelde-Diamant (aka Nash), better known as hit-making songwriter and producer The-Dream, has been sued for sexual battery by a former protege, according to the New York Times.

The plaintiff is a singer named Chanaaz Mangroe, who performed as Channii Monroe. She alleges that Gesteelde-Diamant “repeatedly forced her to have sex, strangled her and once made a video recording of an intimate encounter and threatened to show it to others” after enticing her into a relationship with promises to help advance her career. Mangroe also names Epic Records in her complaint, saying they failed to respond to her reports against him, and eventually dropped her when he did not deliver her music to them.

In a statement, Mangroe said, “What Dream did to me made it impossible to live the life I envisioned for myself and pursue my goals as a singer and songwriter. Ultimately, my silence has become too painful, and I realized that I need to tell my story to heal. I hope that doing so will also help others and prevent future horrific abuse.”

Meanwhile, Gesteelde-Diamant denied the allegations through a representative, responding, “These claims are untrue and defamatory. I oppose all forms of harassment and have always strived to help people realize their career goals. As someone committed to making a positive impact on my fellow artists and the world at large, I am deeply offended and saddened by these accusations.”

According to the suit, Mangroe began a relationship with Gesteelde-Diamant after sending him samples of her work. He allegedly told her he could make her “the next Beyoncé and Rihanna,” but began pressuring her for sex within days. She says that over time, he began having his security follow her, demanding regular check-ins and exploding with anger at perceived signs of disloyalty or ingratitude.

Mangroe is represented by Douglas H. Wigdor and Meredith A. Firetog, who also filed Cassie’s sexual assault case against Sean “Diddy” Combs, which was settled a day after being made public.

This isn’t the first time The-Dream was accused of violence aganist women. In 2014, he was charged with assault on allegations that he kicked, punched and choked a former girlfriend; however, prosecutors dropped the charges due to a lack of evidence.

J Cole Recognized By Fan While Stealthily Shopping For New Cybertruck

J Cole has been playing it pretty lowkey for the past few months. Back in March he dropped a new mixtape called Might Delete Later. The album eventually lived up to its name when Cole went back on its closing track “7 Minute Drill.” The song was a diss track aimed at Kendrick Lamar that was only out for a few days before Cole publicly spoke out against it during a festival performance and then removed it from streaming services entirely just a few days later. While he was roundly criticized for the move at the time, what Kendrick would go on to do to Drake in their beef that followed caused many to reconsider Cole’s position.

Now a new video making the rounds online features Cole continuing to look pretty casual. The video was taken by a fan in a Tesla dealership looking at cybertrucks who noticed a familiar face nearby. “J Cole & I shopping for teslas at the same time while the manager kept ignoring him bc he didn’t know who he was & continued persuading me to place the order for a car” the video’s caption reads. As you’d expect the clip itself features a casually dressed Col inside a Tesla dealership checking out one of the divisive cybertrucks. Check out the video a fan shared of Cole looking at Teslas below.

Last month, J Cole jumped on Cash Cobain’s new song “Grippy” with a guest verse. He was once again widely criticized for his performance delivering NSFW lyrics that made many fans uncomfortable. Cole has been promising his long-awaited album The Fall Off since 2018. Since then he’s released two of his own projects and multiple label albums while fans continue waiting.
