Aoki Lee Simmons Moving On From Modeling Over “Annoying” Comparisons To Her Mother

Aoki Lee Simmons, the daughter of Kimora Lee and the controversial Russell, is calling it quits on her modeling career. According to AllHipHop, the 22-year-old came to this realization that she doesn’t have the same destiny as her mom. The latter made a name for herself early on into her journey thanks to some appearances for the likes of Chanel, Fendi, and Valentino. However, it’s not like Aoki Lee has been struggling to find opportunities.

She’s been able to rack up some impressive accomplishments such as landing on the covers of Bazaar and Elle, for example. But all of her respective milestones are not enough to sway her to continue her modeling run. Aoki Lee revealed to her Instagram followers over the weekend that comparisons and being ruthlessly torn down were ultimately too much to bear. “I think I’m probably wrapping up modeling soon… It’s hard to go somewhere and get told over, over and over, ‘No, no, no, you’re not pretty enough,’ that’s not a fun time… it’s a hard industry,” she explained.

Later, she would add, “It feels like one big fat comparison all the time. Like, okay, not as good. I get that. My mom is always going to be a way better model than me. But it’s just annoying to have that comparison sometimes,” Aoki candidly stated. It’s saddening to hear her speak in this manner, but we also applaud her for wanting better for herself, especially mentally. After making this known, she says she is looking forward to exploring a totally different career. For those unaware, she has a degree in international relations from Harvard. At this time, she’s looking at something in the government field.

Travis Scott Struts On The Runway For VETEMENTS’ Paris Fashion Week Show

Travis Scott can now add “Hadid-endorsed runway model” to his resumé after his appearance during VETEMENTS’ 2025 Spring/Summer show for Paris Fashion Week on Friday (September 27). Moreover, he donned sunglasses and a shiny all-black ensemble with boots, kneepads, and an overall leathery presentation. The “Mo City Flexologist” rapper actually started the whole thing, returning later hand-in-hand with Gigi Hadid and his fit’s designer Guram Gvasalia. “This [is] runway s**t,” he told The People Gallery‘s Maurice Kamara when asked about his clothing. La Flame also gave style advice (“Be yourself always”) and said his favorite track at the moment is NLE Choppa and 41’s “Or What.”

Furthermore, Travis Scott has plenty of other reasons to celebrate these days. The tenth anniversary re-release of his DAYS BEFORE RODEO mixtape finally reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart a couple of weeks after it dropped. For those unaware, this project was locked in a nail-biting but well-fought race with Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet for a chart-topping debut. Sabrina won, but eventually, both massive artists got their due flowers.

Travis Scott At Paris Fashion Week

Elsewhere, Travis Scott’s recent moves have fueled excitement around one of his closest artistic collaborators… And the rumors actually manifested. He was one of at least a couple of people (plus thousands of fans) to spread speculation that Kanye West will return soon with a new solo album. Well, Ye announced BULLY during his second VULTURES listening experience with Ty Dolla $ign in China this year. VULTURES 3 is still coming according to Ty, but it looks like there are multiple different projects to work on and anticipate now. We’ll see if the “Piss On Your Grave” duo returns for another collab on it… If this isn’t another Yandhi situation, that is.

All in all, it’s been a pretty good year for Travis Scott, and one that might get even better. His 2024 numbers put him in the top three of the most streamed rappers on Spotify of all time. Who knows what the records will show in a couple of years? If the Houston native maintains his momentum and superstardom, then he’ll stay at the top. Maybe some more modeling gigs can help!

Gisele Bundchen Recalls Having Suicidal Thoughts From Stress Of Her Modeling Career

Gisele Bundchen says that she contemplated suicide amid the most stressful moments of her modeling career. Reflecting on the mental health struggles she’s dealt with during an upcoming appearance on CBS News Sunday Morning, Bundchen admitted she considered jumping from her ninth-floor apartment window.

“You know, I was in tunnels,” she told journalist Lee Cowan. “I couldn’t breathe. And then I started being in studios, and I felt, like, suffocated.” From there, she recalled living on the ninth floor of a building at the time and taking the stairs because she was afraid of the elevator. “I’d be hyperventilating. … You know when you can’t breathe even when the windows are open, you feel like, I don’t want to live like this, you know what I mean?” When asked whether she was being serious about contemplating jumping, she responded: “Yeah. For, like, a second.”

It’s not the first time Bundchen has admitted to having suicidal thoughts. She also addressed the struggle ahead of the release of her memoir, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, in 2018. “I actually had the feeling of, ‘If I just jump off my roof, this is going to end, and I never have to worry about this feeling of my world closing in,’” she told PEOPLE at the time.

Regardless, Bundchen says that she’s in a better place now. “I’m able to choose more of what I want,” she told CBS from her home in Costa Rica. “I think before I was more surviving, and now I’m living, which is different.” The update comes after her recent divorce from NFL legend Tom Brady. DJ Khaled Models For Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty

DJ Khaled dons silk pajamas and a tracksuit in the latest photoshoot for Rihanna’s lingerie brand, Savage x Fenty. He is the latest in a line of celebrities who have modeled for the brand, including Olivia Cooke, Summer Walker, and more.

Khaled also rocked a pair of slippers personalized with his name while modeling the loungewear.

The God Did producer first confirmed that he’d be collaborating with the brand back in August. On social media, he posted a video taken from behind the scenes of the shoot.

“I got team Rihanna and team Fenty in the building,” he said at the time, before adding, “I got the tailors from Fenty. I got my tailor. We got tailors from Italy. We doing a top secret shoot. I got Rihanna’s people in my house, this my house and Rihanna’s team is at my house.”

Khaled added: “I ain’t gone name other companies ‘cause I’m rolling with Fenty. Y’all didn’t see the vision. I’m born beautiful. I’m a sex symbol. They been wanting this for the longest time. Wait until I put these things on.”

Outside of fashion, Khaled and Rihanna have worked together numerous times over the years. In 2017, they released the hit song, “Wild Thoughts,” which peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100.

The campaign comes as Savage x Fenty recently settled a consumer protection lawsuit for $1.2 million. The brand allegedly used deceptive marketing tactics to automatically enroll customers in a subscription without their knowledge.
